I saw Mallory Bach after a recommendation from a friend. My usual stylist was going on maternity leave I didn't book her before she as booked up and I was in serious need of a touch up and wanting help managing my wild curls! Mallory did a keratin treatment on me and gave life back to my hair! I'm a mom of two young babies and don't get out often so this was a big deal! Alicia is an amazing stylist and person. From the moment you wall in the door her smile and greeting make you feel welcome. I actually look forward to sitting in her chair. When I first starting going to her I had dyed my hair really dark and she brought me back to blonde. I've also brought in pics of up do's and she has nailed them. If I remember correctly she told me she has been working in the industry for over 20years and it shows. Her technic, speed and the ease in which she makes her job look is pretty incredible . I went to see Shannon today after a conditioner I was using changed her gorgeous work into a brassy wonderland. Oops, my bad. I thought she was going to kill me but Shannon was so understanding, patient and sweet about everything. I cannot stress enough about how knowledgeable this woman is with color! It is all so technical to me but you can tell she genuinely enjoys not only doing hair but teaching about it. Again the atmosphere at the salon was warm, loving, nurturing, friendly, hip and inviting. Basically very "Shannon". Go see her for your cuts and colors, I highly HIGHLY recommend. read more

Okay so I just have to rate this place, so I got my hair done three times by this same stylist thinking that my hair would be fixed. To start off this review, I asked for a FULL highlight on my hair. I then go in and the stylist that I had gives me partial highlights. I ask her to add more, it's fine. Then I come home and the bottom layer (section) of my hair is still brown. I'm confused at this point, this is not what highlighting is supposed to be? She explains that my hair is too fragile and damaged basically, which first of all is completely rude because I haven't done my hair in over 3+ months and it just seemed like excuses. Then finally after the third time wanting to come back because she didn't know how to highlight hair, she finally gives me money back. Thankfully. See the pics for proof. I haven't visited this salon since February (before covid) and unfortunately I was a bit shocked at what was taking place here. Upon entering the salon, not a single stylist was wearing a mask. When I asked the owner, Gail Fleury (Gail Johns-Fleury) why no one was wearing a mask or face covering, she replied with "it's a personal choice." She was under the (false) impression that since each station was roughly 6 feet apart, transmission wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, Gail never passed a college science course.. and it shows. No one at this salon is taking appropriate measures in making sure clients are safe when entering. If you're healthy and well you could easily be an asymptomatic case. Remember up to 85% of transmission events are from people who feel well and therefore don't modify their behavior, infecting others. If you feel sick, you should definitely wear a mask, to protect others (and you shouldn't be out and about). If you are medically fragile you should wear a mask, to protect others and yourself. Masking remains the easiest, most effective, lowest-burden risk reduction strategy. Not only is this salon not in compliance with the California department of public health mandates, they have a sign on the door that says "sorry, we're closed" - which made it clear they were trying not to get caught. I will be submitting a complaint to CDPH, placer county and to the board of barbering and cosmetology. read more

Haircut and style: Needed to make an appointment last minute. I am from out of town and read multiple reviews of salons in the area before choosing this salon and Diane. I made the right choice. Diane listened and worked with me. My hair is not always the easiest to cut and style and I prefer to avoid using hair products. My hair looked great when I left. read more

No Privacy! UnProfessional Atmosphere. Not a serene quiet place too get your hair cut. Between people constantly walking by on all sides of where I was seated, the noisy atmosphere, & the stylist being constantly interrupted w/ conversation by people passing by my hair never got her full attention. For a salon across from a Home Depot, Studio Belladon seems pretty cool. Haha! I went to S.B. recently for a body wrap. The salon itself- while on the small side in terms of floor space- is beautiful, with soft lighting and a posh ambience. That description is especially true for their back spa room- it *is* a pretty small room, but it's comfortable and cutely decorated. Dani was very friendly and knew her stuff. I've had a few wraps at various spas now and know how important it is to wrap the cilent properly. If you're not wrapped correctly then you end up bad circulation/puffy hands and feet or, even worse, bunched lines welded into your skin for the next day or two. No bueno! But she wrapped me up in the detox mud perfectly and afterwards my skin felt taut, firm and silky smooth for days! They had some other cool services on their spa menu, I would come back to try out them out. read more

I called last Saturday morning (4/23) at about 9:20am to schedule a consultation for a hair cut. The phone was answered by a woman who made me feel like an inconvenience. She said she did not have time to do that, but that she would have Loren call me when she got in. Her tone said it all- 'not interested in my business'. Of course, I was not called back; but after speaking with the woman, I had the feeling I wouldn't be. I found the salon via Yelp reviews, and was hoping they could help with maintenance of my super thick, long, and wavy hair-since that's what I read in some reviews. I will obviously be spending my unwanted cash somewhere else. read more

I never went into the salon, because the communication beforehand made me feel disrespected/humiliated. I messaged the business owner, asking for the soonest available appointment with a certain hairdresser, due to me over bleaching my hair and wanting to tone it down. She then proceeded to, accidentally, message me back (what I assumed she wanted to say to the hair stylist) that read: "Your client needs you. LOL." She then tried to revert what she said, but it was too late. I wasn't going to give any of these people my money if that's how they act behind closed doors. I am absolutely revulsed by the blatant disrespect, and how dumb they take me for. So, fair warning to anyone considering this place: Beware that the store owner and employees may talk badly of you behind your back, and that chance is pretty high, despite being a paying customer - you aren't valued, at least when you're back is turned. I'm giving one star as 0 stars aren't available. I made an appointment online hours before, showed up and only one stylist was working. The stylist I had an appointment with was not there. The stylist working said she had another customer and could not do my hair. I asked for a recommendation for other salons and she had no clue. Alicia is an amazing stylist!! Before we even started on my messed up hair, she asked lots of questions to get a feel of what I wanted to do. She's very honest on what she will be able to do with my hair because it's dark and I wanted to go really light. We had great conversations and at no point was it awkward to be in the chair. Gail is amazing. She's super experienced and is the best colorist I've ever been to. She's been doing my hair for over 10 years. I always look forward to my hair appointment because she's fun and does a great job. I moved to the Bay Area and still make the trip to have my hair done. The salon is upscale, clean and relaxing.
