Updated Review - Ongoing Issue Unresolved After 9 Months In December, I made an agreement with Laura regarding the money that was owed back to me for a product that was never received. She acknowledged the issue and agreed to repay in weekly installments. Unfortunately, those payments were inconsistent, and only a few were made. Recently, received a message stating that no further payments would be made unless I removed my original review. I find this behavior extremely unprofessional and manipulative, especially coming from someone in the beauty industry who is trusted by clients. We haven't heard from her in two months since the text message was sent. It is now over nine months since this incident occurred and has not been resolved. As of today, I am still owed money. I believe it is unacceptable for any stylist to use intimidation to silence honest feedback rather than making things right. Furthermore, I question why the salon owner continues to allow someone with such unethical practices to operate under their roof. I'm sharing this to help others make informed decisions. I went there asking for the layers and the curtain bangs that were in the photo I have in the review that go right above your cheekbones and she decided to cut my bangs below my eyebrows, and then while she was cutting, my bangs decided to cut them even shorter. I went in there having bangs that were past my chin that I have been growing for more than two years and now I have a dora the Explorer bangs would not recommend at all the inside decor is OK but other than that will not be fucking going again. I don't know if I wasn't clear enough or she just wasn't understanding what I was saying. but I am absolutely livid with my fucking haircut. will not ever be going back not to mention that the back of my hair is all the way to my collarbone whilst the front of my hair is all the way past my shoulders mind you I told her keep the length do a dusting which doesn't require her to chop any hair off and then she proceeds to take my hair and start cutting off chunks never going back ever again. I got married this past Saturday, May 21st, and the entire experience was wonderful from when I first booked the team back in September all the way through wedding day. Working with the Lavendar Bridal Team was an absolute dream! I reached out to Lavendar Salon after waiting months for my regular hairstylist to recommend a bridal team. After she didnt come through, I was a bit panicked about finding a good fit with another salon in time for my October 2023 wedding. Sheila was super helpful right from the start and I was able to meet with the stylists that actually did my day of work; Jessica (MU) & Cheree (Hair) for a trial. I left the trial with a lot of notes on what I wanted changed (which was more on me than them, because I wasn't sure when I went in) so I went home a little nervous if we would end up with something perfect on the big day. Day of, Jessica and Cheree were on time and so prepared! They also brought such a positive attitude to the morning and I loved that they totally rolled with all of the different personalities. I especially liked that they both took extra care to compliment my mom who was super nervous about her look and needed that extra confidence boost! The final look was...stunning! They both took the notes I had and helped me find the perfect look to make me feel beautiful. I should also mention that I don't usually wear makeup outside of a tint and some concealer and was worried about looking overdone. Jessica did such a good job making sure I looked glam without making me look like a completely different person! And the shade match? Chef's kiss! I just went in yesterday to get my hair done by Noelle, she's a newer stylist but based on the Instagram photos she posted I thought she would do a good job. Wow, was I wrong. Not only did my hair look nothing like my inspiration photo, I left with basically the exact same color just more of it. When I got home there was still bleach on the underneath of my hair, and those hairs weren't toned, so the top of my hair is more copper and then the very underneath is EXTREMELY blonde. My waist-length hair is now damaged and gummy. I hardly style my hair and only color it once or twice every year, so I came in with very healthy hair. I sent her a message willing to give her another chance, that is before I washed my hair and realized how damaged it was. She won't even read the message I sent when I realized what she'd done. She did give me a discount for not getting the color right, but obviously she had to have felt the bleach in my hair when blow drying it. She knows she messed up and won't even acknowledge me. If you go to this salon see someone else, unless you're looking to pay money to have your hair damaged. read more

Awful! My stylist charged 250 my first time in with a $50 tip so $300 in total. However, I was to come back in a couple of weeks for her to check my color and maybe add more highlights. she never used foils she just pulled a few strands while the color was still on my hair) Neither of us were happy with the brassiness which again I thought she was going to reevaluate and maybe add a few more. It turns out in 2 1/2 weeks my color was nearly the same as when I went in but now I have brassiness too- yuck! I called to let her know about the color and confirm appt (she didn't even have me down for appt). she said that she was going to charge me and it was going to be another $220. I flipped out. I thought I don't mind paying another 50 - 80 dollars although I have never in my 35 years of having my hair done A) I have NEVER been asked to pay for a stylist to make good on my hair. Not once. I was truly surprised that she assumed I would pay another $220 3 weeks later and for something that should have been done right the first time. I thought - girl, you have got to make good on this. Why in the world would I pay you another 220 absolutely ludicrous. A scam for sure.. I was there for only 3 hours barely a trim, no dry or style and my hair is shoulder length. oh right, but she gave me sample packets( is what she said in defense....(that was all she could come up with). Awful Experience with KassidyJonesLashes I scheduled an appointment with KassidyJonesLashes at Lavender Salon and Blow Out Bar for a refill yesterday. The lash artist, who owns a studio there, seemed very accommodating initially and assured me she would handle the scheduling, which I appreciated. However, my experience today was drastically different. I messaged Kassidy at 8:53 AM to let her know I was on my way. I arrived early at 9:20 AM for my 9:30 AM appointment. Despite being early, I was neither greeted nor acknowledged. After waiting for 10 minutes, By the time I arrived, I had not received any response. I tried reaching out to her via text and Instagram with no success. Unaware that there was another salon suite on the other side for lashes, I waited an additional 5 minutes before asking other stylists if they knew Kassidy. Only one person was helpful and confirmed Kassidy's cell number. I attempted to contact her again but received no response. After waiting another 20 minutes, I left at 9:50 AM. Being ghosted by a new service provider and receiving no response to my messages, calls, or Instagram messages reflects very poor communication and customer service. I chose Lavender Salon to do all of the hair and makeup for my wedding day. I first contacted them about 9 months before my wedding and was so impressed by Sheila's quick response, great attitude and willingness to answer my million questions. She informed me that Kelly would be doing my hair (I also had her do color/cuts leading up to the wedding) and Jessica would be doing my makeup. About one month later, Jessica did my makeup trial and Kelly curled my hair for my engagement photos- both of which turned out great. Shortly before my wedding, I had my final dress fitting and decided that I wanted to have an up-do even though I already had a part-up hair trial. Kelly was extremely accommodating and even came in on her day off to do another hair trial for me three days before the wedding. On wedding day, we also had Melyssa and Lindsay in addition to Kelly and Jessica since there were 10 of us needing makeup and 11 needing hair! All four of them arrived on time and worked so incredibly efficiently that we actually finished earlier than planned (which was great for taming wedding day nerves/stress). They were all so fun to talk to and I can't imagine my wedding day without each of them there. Happy with Janeth! A beauty salon is the last place I would check in as I don't really pamper myself too often nor do I have the time to do so. The upkeep can be expensive. Maybe that's why I don't have the Glamorama badge... I have yet to earn it. Actually, a deal from LivingSocial came up and I purchased it for my daughter, who wanted to color her hair. We arrived at our scheduled appointment and met with Janeth (pronounced Yaneth). While I was waiting for Janeth to work on daughter's hair she talked me into getting a color too! I was hesitant but she gave me a deal since I was already there at the salon and my daughter was her last appt. This was my first time here and Janeth did a great job for us. We had the works... color, cut, conditioning and style. She's very friendly and great conversationalist. Setting up an appointment was no hassle. I left a message for her and she returned my call right away. Corina, fellow Yelper, was just recently here too and Janeth did a beautiful job on her hair. In fact, that is Corina on the check-in profile photo for Lavender Salon. Looks like I found a place and a stylist to go to from now on (even though I only go twice a year for a cut or trim. :-] The salon is very clean and welcoming and it is located in a nice area in Rocklin on Stanford Ranch Road. This place does almost everything. They have aestheticians on site also. Most of these professionals work by appointment only and I'm not really sure if someone is onsite all the time to accommodate walk-ins. I decided to book with Lavender Salon for my wedding after seeing photos from a friend's wedding they did. I specifically wanted to work with Lindsay Kinloch and Jessica O'Bannon after looking at Lavender Salon's Instagram page. They both had exactly what I was looking for. I booked everything through Sheila, and she made everything so easy. She was very responsive and was accommodating with additions and questions I had. I did a trial with Lindsay and Jessica about 6 months before our wedding. They were both so nice and took notes I had to make sure everything was perfect for the day of. We had a very early start on my wedding day and they were all promptly on time, especially considering they had to drive to the bay area for us. We also had a few unexpected people added for hair and makeup, and they all took it as it came and kept us on schedule. They are so nice and professional, and my family members and bridal party loved them. I couldn't be happier that I chose the Lavender Salon to be my hair and makeup team for my wedding day (July 6, 2019). I was lucky enough to discover the Lavender Salon at the first bridal show that I went to. They were extremely easy to schedule trial hair and makeup appointments with, plus they work around your schedule not theirs. I first met my amazing bridal hair and makeup team (Lindsay for hair, and Cheree for makeup) when they did my hair and makeup for our engagement photo shoot. My mom and I were so impressed with my engagement photo hair and makeup that my mom scheduled an appointment for Cheree to do her makeup for my brother's wedding this past December too. Soon after my engagement photos I scheduled my bridal hair and makeup trial. However, I didn't do the best job at selecting a hair style I liked, nor did I end up liking the smoky eye look that I chose. I didn't speak up enough about what I liked and didn't like during this trial, and I left feeling unsure about my bridal look. This is when I realized how great their customer service truly was. Sheila, the owner, contacted me and asked if I could come in for a second trail because she wanted me to be 100% in love with my bridal look. When I went in for my second bridal trial, I had specific looks chosen, and the result was AMAZING! I felt like a bride! When they arrived to our hotel suite on my wedding day, they came prepared for my LARGE bridal party (12 girls for hair and makeup, plus one flower girl). We didn't have to wake up at the crack of dawn either! They sent 4 hair and makeup stylist to keep the timeline that we needed. Everyone was so nice, and showed up on time. LESS THAN ZERO STARS FOR: LISA HOLMAN AND LAVENDER SALON OWNER SHEILA HUGE NIGHTMARE!!! !!!! SEE PHOTO !!!!! I am speechless at this entire experience with this TERRIBLE SALON OWNER **SHEILA** & ** LISA HOLEMAN** !! I came in yesterday to LAVENDER SALON. I asked **LISA HOLMAN** for a weave with no yellow or brassiness. I don't want copper color I want to blend my grey and not have to color it darker because I don't like red hair and about 5 days after tinting my hair (low light) to cover grey it turns Copper Color or reddish. So, LIGHT BLONDE WEAVE not difficult, bring a slightly chunky (thicker pieces) to a color above yellow but not yet white, (yes you have to keep watching it), and it comes out a beautiful blonde. All of this I explained to the "hairdresser" **LISA HOLMAN**. I had been to her once before and it was ok but not light enough I did have some bleeding over the foils then but not too much. It was not great but if I could maybe explain to her how to prevent the problems, it would turn out good. I feel you have to work with people to find the sweet spot with your hair as everyone's hair is different. I have done hair professionally in the past and a very large clientele working in So.Cal. so I do know something about coloring hair. She was pressing down on the foils so hard it was hurting my neck! (I did mention this but she kept this up during the process.) I was scared because when you press down on the bleach it will leak out of the foil and "bleed" on to the other hair you DO NOT want it on. (You learn this in beauty school, it takes only once to figure it out.) During the phone call to make the appointment I let her know it would be a 2 color process. I wanted blonde where some of the grey was too concentrated around my face. This would require a tint, to deposit color into the white hair, which is colorless. Originally with the first appointment I said I wanted to just blend the grey with blonde derived from bleaching my brown hair to blonde. This time she was going to need to tint me to be very light, lighter than I had to been. So, i said I wanted below white, darker than platinum coloring but past (lighter) than gold (or yellow stage). At the beginning of the process as she was picking up hair I thought I saw some thin slices and I asked about it. Just asking how "chunky" it was going to be, just to refine the look I like to make sure we communicate. (We could not!) I asked her to see the size she was doing and she began to RAISE HER VOICE at me and tell me that she knew what to do and how long she was a hairdresser and how she "knows her craft". I was so embarrassed. I wanted to hide. So, I showed her the thickness with the comb I wanted because she wouldn't show me what she was picking up... she is do defensive! I wasn't complaining I just wanted to make sure it was what I wanted. AND All through the appointment if I asked her anything about the process she would RAISE HER VOICE, VERY DEFENSIVELY AND EMBARRASS ME! Boy what a nightmare. The picture tells the story, date stamped on the camera and proof of what I am saying. So day after, today I called the LAVENDER SALON AND ASKED FOR THE OWNER, SHEILA! I told her my story and she proceeded to tell me that LISA HAD NEVER had any complaints but yes SHE WAS LOUD SOMETIMES.... When I said my story she all of a sudden said Well, some of the girls said I had hit her hand! LOL IF YOU HAVE TO MAKE THINGS UP TO DEFEND A BAD HAIRDRESSER, SELL NOW! OMGOSH! I HIT HER HAND? THAT IS LIBLE! Well, now I know there is not a moral code there at the salon and I felt I needed to warn people of the low level mentality of Lying and bad behavior I found. I used lavender salon for all my pre-wedding hair & make up needs. I ended up finding them on Instagram, booking my wedding trials, and since then I haven't used any other salon! I live in Galt and drive over an hour to Rocklin for my appointments so that in itself says a lot! Jessica did my make up the day of the wedding, and along with that she has done my brows, facials, and a spray tan! Lindsay styled my hair the day of the wedding and along with that she has been cutting and coloring my hair, as well as providing eyelash extensions. I also got my hair piece from their salon collection, most bridal stores want $100-$200 for all their pieces, and I found this one at Lavender Salon for around $50! Both Jessica and Lindsay have been so amazing to work with, they not only are talented with what they do, but they are so sweet and fun to work with. Their attitude and demeanor helped calm my nerves on my wedding day and they made my "getting ready" before the wedding experience more perfect than I could have ever dreamed! Along with Jessica and Lindsay, Melyssa and Lisa also did bridal party hair and make up since my party was so large. They all arrived on time, and all of us were done with hair and make up before the time we needed to be done. It was such a smooth process from when I first booked with them until the wedding day. I went in for a blow out. I was very well taken care of. The girl who did it for me (forgot her name) but she's from Southern California was very good at it. She asked me a lot of questions as to how I wanted it and was very accommodating. Good conversation in the chair. She used R+co products which I happened to know. It's day 2 and my hair looks shiny. As far as price, I saw on the menu $35 but she charged me 40. Not sure why, maybe I missed something? Maybe tax? Oh well... I was happy with the result. read more

It was my first time at this salon and I went to see my FAVORITE stylist Ashley Sanders who has been doing this over 10 years! It was super easy to book with her and get a good time slot that fit my schedule. I got a Brazilian blowout, color and a small trim to take off unhealthy hair. My hair is naturally dark brown and I had tried to go as blonde as possible before this appointment, my ombre Ashley had done was BEAUTIFUL but I was ready for my old color back. She picked the perfect dark brown to match my hair and trimmed the unhealthy hair off. After my blowout my hair literally felt like silk through my fingers!! I am beyond happy with the result and it has lasted me over two weeks so far! Her prices are reasonable and she was even able to recommend a nice sulfate free shampoo to help keep the blowout lasting longer and accommodate my special request of a shampoo without silicone. The head massage during the wash and the warm coffee she gave me were also nice perks to this appointment with this experienced stylist. I literally walked out feeling like I was at a spa for the day .. and it was only 11 AM hahaha :) A little about the Salon: It was super bright and airy and has recently undergone a beautiful renovation! I was happy to see full length lit mirrors and a small cute boutique with extra goodies like clothes and purses for me to browse before I left. read more

If you're getting married anywhere in the Sacramento area, look no further for your bridal MUAH team! Relax and know that the ladies at Lavender Salon will do an incredible job and will have you looking your absolute best on your wedding day. I heard about Lavender through our amazing venue, Vizcaya Sacramento, who also holds high regard for Lavender and lists them as one of their preferred MUAH vendors. I first met the lovely owner, Sheila, who walked me through the salon, contract, and gushed about her team who she is very proud of (and I see why!) Sheila was easy to get in touch with and was so flexible and communicative along the way. Lavender did a MUAH trial for me which I decided to take even fuller advantage of by scheduling before our engagement photoshoot. (Not everyone agrees with this approach - but the team at Lavender was cool with making slight tweaks at the end of the trial so that my look didn't look exactly like my wedding day look ) I immediately felt at home as Melyssa did my makeup and Kelly did my hair. Both ladies took extra care to listen to what I wanted for my look, asked questions, and described their techniques so that I felt assured that it would result in a look that felt authentically me :) I couldn't believe how long my makeup lasted after hours of pics and eating a couple of meals ;) and my curls lasted til the end of the NEXT day! Come my wedding day on Dec 29, Melyssa, Kelly, and Cheree were prompt and already at the venue waiting for me! Talk about a superstar team. They did a beautiful job with me and my party of 9, with ample time to relax and be ready before the "first look". I know my girls (especially my mom!) had a lovely time getting glammed up by these three. Everyone in my party had a different, unique look and the team really brought the natural beauty out of everyone - and made it look so effortless. As for my Hollywood Glam look - totally nailed it, and it lasted through everything...our wedding was a teary-eyed one, and you know that's the true test for your look :') Thanks again, Sheila, Melyssa, Kelly and Cheree for everything!
