I asked for a soft, faded balayage and instead got the most blotchy, choppy, uneven mess you can imagine. It was nothing like what I asked for--TEASY balayage, not zebra stripes! I was absolutely devastated. I trusted them, and they RUINED my hair. I'm still traumatized and thank GOD I went to a different hair salon to fix it. And to top it off, when I asked for a refund, the owner said no, unless I went there and they fixed it AS IF I had the confidence and trust them with my hair again, HECK NO, no apology, no accountability, nothing. I've never felt so disappointed by a business. Save yourself the heartbreak and stay far, far away from this place. Total nightmare!!

Yelp Review - 1 Star…read more I rarely, if ever, leave negative reviews, but my experience here was so disappointing that I feel obligated to share it. I arrived on time for a scheduled appointment for highlights and a haircut. After my hair was washed, I met briefly with the owner. She spent most of the consultation speaking to a junior stylist and asked me very few questions. I clearly explained that I wanted highlights that would hide my gray hair and a flattering cut (I gave specifics about the cut). During that consultation, a woman walked in and announced that she did not have an appointment but wanted to see if she could be accommodated. To my surprise, the owner decided to take the walk-in client first, leaving me sitting in the chair waiting for approximately 45 minutes while she highlighted the other woman's hair. When she finally returned to me, the consultation remained minimal and rushed. Throughout the appointment she continually moved between multiple clients, rarely focusing on any one person for long. The entire visit lasted 4 1/2 hours despite the fact that I have very short hair. Unfortunately, the results were the worst haircut and color I have ever received. Rather than blending my gray hair, the highlights emphasized it and left my hair looking noticeably grayer. The haircut itself was uneven and impossible to style. The result was so poor that I eventually returned to my longtime hairdresser in Pasadena, more than seven hours away, to have it corrected. He was genuinely shocked by the quality of the cut and tried his best to repair it. What surprised me most is that this salon has so many positive reviews. My experience was the exact opposite. The salon appears to be a victim of its own popularity, too many clients being scheduled at once, insufficient attention to individual customers, not respecting people's time, and not enough time spent listening to what clients actually want. Being kept waiting while a walk-in client was served first, combined with the poor communication, lack of attention, and disappointing results, made this one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had. I do want to add that the other staff were friendly - it was the only good thing about the visit. Oh - and they offered wine. I would rather a good cut and highlights than wine, any day. I will not be returning.

My boyfriend didn't notice as he couldn't see the back of his head. I didn't notice until we left and I saw how uneven it was. I hate to leave a bad review, but I wish this mistake were handled better.

Teresa Motkin is the absolute BEST! Her best traits are that she has:…read more - GREAT HOURS -- There are hardly any other hair stylists [I think there may have been one other one in the salon] that are open/will take you in the late evening weekday -- this is particularly important for those busy working during the day and would like to get hair service done after work. She is able to do this because she works 4 days a week and prefers to chunk them up into really long hours those 4 days. - EASY ADAPTABILITY -- I literally called several stylists around the area at 4pm for a last-minute hair service (update highlights and haircut). She said that she could take me in the earliest at 7pm. It's definitely worth calling this salon to ask if any of the stylists can see you (of course with my experience with Teresa, I can guarantee you'll be happy with the result) - AMAZING HAIR SKILLS -- I came in asking for a touch up on my highlights which grew out over an inch but I also asked her to fix a HORRIBLE previous highlight job that I just let grow out (since I didn't have the time to fix due to medical school). The previous stylist from a different location left my left side with way more highlight than my right side. It looked horrible. I pointed it out to Teresa and she quickly had a solution. She fixed it by giving me low lights in that area. - AMAZING PRICES!!! -- The touch up on partial highlights + a haircut (I have medium-long hair) came out to be $55. Which was pretty awesome! Cash or check are preferred, but she definitely takes credit. I was very happy in the end. She fixed my hair and gained my trust. Would definitely come back to her.

It looked run down, and as if it saw very little traffic. My gut instinct told me to not get my hair cut there, but my daughter had made the appointment and I didn't want to hurt her feelings.
