Had a really great time with a small group of friends. Dj was excellent and the atmosphere was fun. Great dance floor!! This place is awesome! Everyone is treated with respect, great atmosphere and the music is wonderful. The new location on Taylor has a large lit up dance floor and there are actually 3 different style bars in the same location. The large area plays lots of 80s but mixes it up a bit to keep it fun. The smaller bar area off to the side plays newer music, still plenty of room to move around. Upstairs they have more of a lounge area for conversation. This has become my favorite dance bar in Fort Worth!!! read more

Amazing! One of the best nightclubs in Texas! My friends and I go 2-3 times a year and it never disappoints - great music videos, fun outfits, great dancing, and amazing music! read more

My wife and I discovered Studio 80 in the fall. We both grew up in the 80's, so we were eager to check out the club. Studio 80 did not disappoint! All great music, friendly management, and a great time was had! We went back for Halloween and had a blast! We'll be back real soon!! read more

I came here for a friends birthday. I was told not to keep tab open and close it after every drink, due to them double charging. had 1 drink about $6 and tipped in cash. I asked her to close it and she gave me my card back. I woke up this morning with a $15 charge. $15 not much but I had 1 drink which I know for a fact wasn't $15. read more

Super fun 80's dance spot. Chill. Relaxed. Decent drinks. Ok service. If you don't like DJ loud or the 80's, this might not be the place. But otherwise, easy fun. If there is a line, a $10 spot gets you right. Definitely will return. read more

Went there for the 1st time and the bartender that is in the back bar lost my credit card! Said he was sorry and actually said that they might have given it to someone else. I then spoke to the manager and he said to leave my contact information with the host and they would call me on Sunday to let me know if they found it or not. No one ever called me!!! Use cash only if you go! Their process is ridiculous if you open up a tab- they leave your card in a box that is alphabetized and it's not even locked up!!! Ridiculous!!! read more

I had a blast! I haven't been to a club in probably 15 years but the atmosphere is just so relaxed and fun. Lots of people in their 20's and their 40-50's. Id go back for sure. The drinks are ridiculously priced so drink before you come. Have a designated driver of course! Girls get in free guys $10. Not a bad place to try out if you love 80"s music or even if you don't! read more

expensive for watered down drinks. the atmosphere and bartenders were awesome. doorman/bouncer thought he was guarding the president which was a little extra but take pride in your job i guess. mostly 80s music with a 90s room. sticky dance floor. good time overall, crowd gets younger around midnight. read more

Went there on Saturday October 28th with a few friends to celebrate Halloween. Had a fantastic time until we decided to go out for a smoke on the patio. Robin, (the waitress) came out, drunk as hell, took our order. Came back with the completely wrong order. We told her 15 times what the order should have been. Came back with nothing, & was so confused about the whole situation. All the while had my credit card. At this point, we were pissed & I only wanted my CC back. Needless to say, I finally got my Cc back, $55 charge one my CC, & Robin was so messed up, she couldn't barely stand up. Why would this facility employee such an unstable person. No thank you! Never again! read more

Great place! Service is great! Music is great! Dance floor a little small, my friends got pushed off and I had a real tall lady holding her drink over my head, but other than that I absolutely love the place! Just a reminder if you want to be able to sit make sure to call ahead ands reserve a table! If you love to people watch and listen to great music this is the place to go read more

Wish I could rate 0 stars. My husband and I were visiting Texas and we went here with family to celebrate a birthday. We got bottle service, a table and plenty of beers for all 12 of us. The ambiance in the place is cool but a couple minutes after we finished our bottle my husband went to the bathroom and came back to get his wallet, when he returned from the bathroom again there was 3 security guards telling our group to leave.... we were all SO confused. I was barely tipsy and sharing a bottle of grey goose with TWELVE people doesn't do that much damage. We were escorted out and man handled. Me especially.. When I asked if I could have a phone # for the manager so I could call back later, a security guard grabbed my arm and pushed me towards the exit. Also want to add on that my husband is a gentleman who happens to be in the Navy (no one mentioned military is free) who had 2 drinks. He wanted to pay/tip the person in the bathroom and we were rushed out. We will never come here again and I will ALWAYS tell people to not waste their money here. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! read more

I was charged 75 for a 16 drink and my friend charged 100 for two Pepsi. A real rip off. Bartender is scamming people's credit cards.

I usually remain in my stomping grounds (Dallas) when it comes to throwing back a few and "shaking what my mama gave me", but on this particular Saturday night, I decided to show Funky Town some love. This place is pretty cool if you're above 35...no offense but I fit right in due to my old soul. The music era is definitely old school eighties. Ordered a vodka tonic...not watery at all. The blonde haired waitress was very pleasant and damn good at her job. The entire place was just fun. The people were fun. The atmosphere was fun. The music was fun. Everyone was dancing and had a good time. Seating is pretty limited. That was the only downer for me considering that I was trying to break in some 8.5 Steve Maddens when I really wear a 9...... read more

Free for military! Ok now that the important stuff is out of the way, I must say I enjoyed my short visit to Studio Eighty. Not the cleanest looking night club, but nothing that would prevent me from returning. The staff is extremely friendly. The DJs do an outstanding job of mixing old school with respectable new school. The was also a surprising mix of ages. Young and mature male and females just having a good time actually dancing. Enjoy read more

This was a fun place to go with my friends for a birthday night out. People watching opportunities here are ENDLESS. Crowd is definitely 40+. 80's dance music in one room, and 90's pop/hip hop in another. Easy access to the bars inside, friendly bartenders, etc. HOWEVER: if you are sensitive to strobe lights at all, this is not the place for you. The dj in the 80's room really, REALLY loves to use the strobe light and I spent half the time on the dance floor nauseous & covering my eyes. It's called "flicker vertigo". Management, the heavy strobe all night is not necessary & can actually trigger seizures in sensitive people. Think you could tone that part down just a bit? You could just use the laser effect & the other lights, maybe? Oh and also, toward the end of the night the huge crowd of VERY young teenagers (think 15/16 year olds) that were somehow allowed to come in & drink w/a crowd of "cool moms" (think Mean Girls) had my narc radar on high alert lol But otherwise... fun, friendly crowd & good times! read more

Apparently you have to remember the person you start a tab with in order to get your card back. When i asked to close out my tab and gave my last name it was a shit show. Obviously not a well managed place and when the manager realized we had a problem with the bartender, his wife, he got ugly real fast. Not how an establishment should be run. My only goal was to close my tab and get my card and it took me being way more of a jerk than i ever am to even get my card back. Super disappointing experience read more

This place was great until management completely ruined our night. Pros: fun music, decent drinks, plenty of seating and waitstaff, lots of people dressed in 80s clothes but nobody cares if you don't. We were having a blast until some redneck looking guy told my husband that his wife was on the dance floor, doing something wrong (couldn't hear what). My husband tried telling him no, his wife is sitting on a couch, but it was too loud. My husband put his arm around the guy to help turn him to point at me. That's when the guy started yelling and kicked him out. Had to wait forever for our check, with security waiting to walk him out. Security and our waitress both basically said it was total BS and they apologized. Had fun until then, but not sure we'll be back. read more

Hands down the best dance club in the entire Metroplex. '80's themed with additional '90's salon adjacent. The crowd runs the entire gamut of personage and simply put the camaraderie going on in here is infectious. Ft. Worth is as true Texas as it gets, so toss in a healthy sprinkle of '80's mindset and attire and it's just impossible to not make some new friends and have a great time. Management sets the stage donning classic '80's jackets, bartenders are super friendly and the dance floors get packed. Outside on the covered patio it's perfectly appointed with extra comfortable sofa & lounge chair conversation pits in abundance, all of which amply served with heaters & cooling, weather dictated... Sound levels are perfect too. Drinks moderately priced and fair enough, it's obvious the owners put their heart and soul and solid dime into this place. Kayla I'm calling you out ! Watching you burn frenzied holes in those corner mats nonstop and that effervescent smile on your face ... You Rock! I love this place and you will too... read more

This is my first time here and unfortunately I can't compare it to the old location that was caught in fire. I kept hearing everybody coming in that the place is more spacious than the other one. It is spacious with a huge dance floor and a lot of seating/tables that you can reserve for your party. The place is divided in to 3 rooms. Two downstairs and another one up the stairs. Both of which are spacious but not overwhelming. Service/bartenders are quick to respond to orders while the space is slammed with people. Great 80's music of different type. I could've just hang out here have a beer or two while enjoying the music and people watching. read more

Studio 80 - 80's! - Dance Clubs Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

Studio Eighty, yes!! Classic 80s music makes for the best dancing, I tell ya. The energy here is fantastic and I'm loving the mixed demographics. People from all walks of life and ages are dancing and drinking and laughing together. Just being goofy, and that's the best. Except for the couple who was making out against the back wall - that was gross. It looks like this place has been here since even before the 80s. I mean.. It's not some fancy updated club, it's very low key and the decor and atmosphere are so casual and silly and fun. The Justin Bieber cardboard cutout at the door scared me, and all the flashing DJ lights might give you a headache, but it's probably impossible to walk through the doors and not have fun. The bar is long and skinny and it's pretty hard to maneuver around it when it's crowded, but people seem to be pretty friendly overall so we didn't have any issues saying "excuse me!" and squeezing through to the front. People are congregated everywhere and the dance floor is packed, so you've just gotta claim your own space and enjoy. On my last visit we were inspired to purchase the little VIP lounge which is set up on a small risen stage with a couple couches, a coffee table, and a tiny space for dancing. It typically is reserved for $250, but we were able to haggle with the manager and get it for $150, woohoo! He brought us a bottle of champagne and we had a serious blast dancing like idiots to magical forever-loved hits like Thriller, My Sharona, and Like A Virgin. They also have some great specials here, like drinks and burger for 88 cents... What?! I can't prove it because I didn't inquire, but that's what the sign said out front! Can't wait to come back here for more ridiculous dancing. read more

The bouncer wouldn't let me in because I'm wearing... MIND YOU... 80's athletic shorts. My partner was wearing sweat pants and they literally waved him in.... Like what's going on? If I'm dressed in 80's attire... why was I not allowed in? Definitely will not be coming back to try again. read more

I've now been here on 3 different occasions over the past 4 months. Pros- great atmosphere, love the two music room/options Cons- bar service is slow/overworked/rude, bouncers are jerks, valet was 20, only one checker for men lined up/coat check, and the men were charged in my group when we had a VIP table. Overall, staff is crappy and act like they couldn't care less.... It's sort of the only game in (down)town so I don't know that there's any motivation by management to fix the above issues. read more

It's been several years since I've been to Studio 80, and I just have to say: I won't ever wait that long to go back again! Incredible atmosphere and awesome music! Not to mention, probably one of the best bartenders that I've had the pleasure of being served by... Karen was PHENOMENAL!!! Thank you for the AMAZING Service! read more

This is an older crowd going to say late 30 to 40s and up. People post that this place is an 80s and 90s theme club. Yes they are right with a bit of early 2000 music. There are 2 floors never went upstairs that might be another floor. Lighting is good not to dark just enough light to see who you are bumping into. Good amount of people. It was 930 when me and my sisters friends came, it was for a bday party. I was shocked that there already had people inside dancing. I guess doors opened at 8. Some people dressed up in 80s theme but it's not required. Drinks tasted like they were water down alchohol I'm a very light weight and had about 6 shoots and wasnt really feeling anything. Bathrooms clean but need some remodeling. Music if one room was 80s the other room should be 90s but that wasnt the case 2nd room had some of the same music as the first room, main floor. One thing I did like was that 2nd room smaller room they played a little bit of spanish music pitbull, elvis crespo. It was fun. But must warn you it is a older crowd so if you are young want to dance to 80s go if you are young and want to socialize with your age most like not. I'm not from TX so club scene is new to me. Will I go back hmm. Probably not my first choice if I want to go dancing. If someone invites me I'll go. read more

this was the best time I've had in a long time! dance floor stayed full, service was good, drinks were strong. will be back!!

Great place to go for a few drinks. Jessie took care if us and she was fabulous! All the employees were nice. No nonsense of any kind here lots of grown folks there to have a good time. Drinks are generous. Music is great too. Food would be a great addition to this place. We will definitely go back. read more

I would never go to this clubs there was women that caused so much trouble that a gay man like me felt like they were targeting me and they even had some straight man threw them me to leave. tbh it's only middle age people that go to this bar to cause trouble to be honest . I will tell everyone one I know not to go there read more

I paid $6 for one drink, and signed my ticket. Today, I had a charge for $40 even. Absolutely shameful. Sounds like they put a hold on cards, which is stupid. What a stupid rip off of an establishment read more

OMG! The dance floor is too fn bright. It is like dancing in the daylight. Other than that, the music is great, the service was amazing and the drink prices were reasonable. I will be back, but I am bringing sunglasses and sunblock for the dance floor. Ask to sit in Raina's section. She took amazing care of us all night. read more

It's true, they over charge your credit card... it's called fraud. I paid $44 for drinks and tipped $6, my card was charged $60.00. Obviously that math doesn't add up. Will be filing fraud with my bank, can't wait to see what the receipt that they submit looks like because I guarantee it's either not my signature or the numbers on the receipt I signed are scribbled to look like a different amount. It might only be $10 but how many people are they robbing for $10 a night? read more

My first time at Studio 80 and I liked 1. Music/dj, music was great all through the end. 2.dance floor is a great size!! 3. Washrooms are clean and stocked. 4. Lots of places to sit comfortably. 5. There's nearby free or inexpensive parking. Didn't like: 1. They need more bartenders. It took such a long time to get a drink. I saw a server on the floor twice and only that one server. 2. Beer is too high. For example a bottle of michelob ultra wax $5.75 yikes. I had three plus tips that was $22 for three... domestics should at least be $4.00 3. Entrance is not to clear. There's a side door and although they are kind when they point you to the entrance they may consider getting a sign. I went with a group of about twenty and we all danced most of the night. Love that there's a variety of age groups too!! Try it and oh yeah some folks were in 80's attire, very, very awesome! read more

Robyn is top tier. She brings drinks quickly and remembers me time and time again. Love the music, love Robyn 10/10.

This place is a blast! 80s music all night, dancers, VIP tables, the works. They also have a back room that plays rap, current and old, for some more dancing and a break from the past. They have a cool patio that's almost "inside" so you can step out so they do allow smoking on that. No one will have a bad time here! read more

private event. we had 8 people but only 7 tickets for entry so they wouldn't let 1 in so that's legit. when the party host came to give us another ticket - the ticket taker who claimed he was the owner said that it couldn't work that way and still wouldn't allow 1 in. Right before that, he took 1 entrance ticket from our person that was waiting with the 1 without a ticket. he then wouldn't let her have her ticket back to get in and lied and said he didn't take it. someone said - dude, you took her ticket and he lost his mind and said - I'm not a dude, I own this club and you're never getting in. what a clown! not to mention he had a sparkly bugs bunny shirt on. you can't make this kind of crazy up!!! read more

If you go don't use a credit card. They charged my card two different amounts and I'm having trouble with the dispute. Just saw a copy of the receipt they sent to my credit card company and they charged someone else's drinks on my card and the signature wasn't mine. Messages to the person at Studio 80 were unanswered. I have my actual receipt so hopefully the fraud dept will take care of this. They also charge you $2 glass fee per drink?? read more
