I came here ready to have a good time after a long mission. After giving my ID and receiving a thank you for your service from the bouncer he proceeded to tell me I couldn't come in because I was wearing a "white t-shirt". I have been clubbing for years all around the US and Europe and I have never heard of such an idiotic rule in my life. What does a white T-shirt have to do with anything? I was wearing a beige T-shirt with white pipping detail, it was not white. After he pointed out the sign at the entrance with all the rules I noticed one of them was no flip flops. If we have to follow the rules why did he let in the 2 girls in front of me? One was wearing black and pink Nike flip-flops and the other one black and green crocks with a plain white tank top. The owner wrote in a previous one-star review and I quote" Our dress code is enforced uniformly to maintain a certain ambiance within the club". Doesn't seem like that Macy. I've been going to Studio 80 for a long time now. I've always loved it. This past Friday night was no exception. We were met at the door by an energetic host wearing an Awesome Pacman suit! He asked if we were there for an occasion (which we were... my hub's birthday). He didn't even flinch whenever we said we were expecting abt 20. We had a GREAT location for our tables and our host even made special birthday signs to reserve our tables until all of our party arrived. He went above and beyond by putting a happy birthday message on the video screens for us. WOW!!! Talk about hospitality! Our host came by frequently to check on us and joke around for a bit. We loved him. The night really picked up around 10:30 pm and the dance floor was full. Although there were a LOT of people there, it never felt too crowded. We could freely move between the 80s and 90s bars and get to the restrooms easily. Our bar bill was quite reasonable (under $80) and we REALLY celebrated. Our server was very attentive and took good care of us. I highly recommend Studio 80 and the awesome hospitality of its staff. read more

1 Star is not even deserved for the kind of terrible service we received. Our party arrived at 8PM. Our waitress was very visibly trashed. She spilled our order all over herself and our table, the first time she served us. Throughout the evening, she continued making huge mistakes because she was drunk. She charged a person's card for drinks that she was specifically instructed not to. My husband ordered a bucket of beer around 8:30, well before happy hour was over. It took about 20 minutes to get our bucket, but still before 9. Then it took another 30 minutes or so for her to tell us what our total was for the bucket (since we had already read some reviews about people being charged for more than they drank, we told her that we did not want to run a tab, and we would pay as we go). At this time, it was well after 9pm, when happy hour ended. She tried to charge us $28 for our bucket, when happy hour price would have been $15. My husband refused to pay it on the premise that we ordered well before 9. He went to the bar to get it settled. She ended up coming back over to my husband and saying, "if you don't pay the $28, you're going to cost me $13". Very incredibly unprofessional. The bar/managers wouldn't even do anything about it. The atmosphere at this cool little joint is great. The music and entertainers are amazing, but unfortunately, the people who work there ruined our entire experience. read more

I went here when it was Vee lounge and I like the way they redecorated it and made use of the space. The loft on the second floor is a nice touch for when you want to just sit down and actually hear each other talk. I also like that they have a second room where they play a mixture of 80s, 90s, and modern hits. My only complaint is that the drinks are too pricey, especially for wells. And to have fun here you need to be drinking! Also a majority of the bartenders were slow and not the most friendly. But that seems to be typical for clubs. read more

Arrived at this place around 745 on Saturday. They were happy to take our $10 cover but failed to mention that EVERY table was reserved and you would have to stand and hold your drink all night. They could have at least left the tables around the bar open for seating. The manager has a cocky attitude and you can tell he is all about the money and not customer service. This place would rather reserve EVERY table for bottle service/wait staff than take care of normal paying customers. They have an outside patio but you cannot hear the music at all and you get to enjoy smelling like an ashtray. The place has a cool vibe but you will be treated better anywhere else down the street. Once upon a time last night, we hit a new club, praying that it was going to be good. ATMOSPHERE: So I have to admit, my group of friends isn't 22 anymore, and we don't leave to go out to the club at 10:30 PM, or we would all be yawning. However, we pulled up to this place and I will tell you it was empty, but heck it was 8:00 PM, we had to check this place out to make sure we wanted to stay. So we saw the flash-dancer out front and then the legwarmers. We were asked if we had a reservation, and I said no, and wanted to freak out. Apparently reservations have been booked for the next couple Saturday. Definitely a good sign! So we went in... We were greeted by several folks, probably because we were the only ones to greet. Jeff, who owns this rocking joint, told us that they had a shuttle for FREE. So at the end of the night, he will take you within 5 miles of the club. I jumped for joy because we drove 2.1 miles in a stupid cab and it was $14.25. HIGHWAY ROBBERY. So we went in and they had $1.00 wells till 9. (yes we were there before 9 - quit judging) So I old-schooled it and had a cherry vodka sour. Jeff said he could get us a table if the reservation people didn't show by 9. In the meantime, he put us in a corner with a leather couch to kick back. The waitress, Vickie, was killer good. She came around often, and always had our drink order correct. We also learned several things, there are great happy hours all week long. Tuesday they have karaoke, so you know I will be back for that. Plus there is a bikini contest that I am sure my friend Nancy could win 5th place in! Yes! So then as 9:00 approached, they moved us to 4 tables that gave us more room and had us in the back, but easy accessible to the dance floor. Bonus. We got a new waitress, Katy. It was her second night, but I would keep her. I went to find her later in the night and ordered 5 Alabama slammers (Nancy is from Alabama) and 2 waters next to a bumping speaker and she totally got it right. Bravo Katy! The dance floor isn't huge, but you can get out there even with Beat It playing, so the size is fine for me. I did not have to throw my elbow up as weapons to get to the dance floor to find my peeps. MUSIC I cannot lie. The music from the moment I got in was GREATNESS. All excellent 80's hit. Plus you can NEVER go wrong playing Dirty Diana for someone named Diana who is at your club! They played Wham, Bon Jovi, Journey, Madonna, Duran Duran, and later in the night they threw in some 90's, which is cool with me. By 12:30 AM, Jeff said they throw in some mainstream for the folks who don't remember the 80's but should. Overall - I think this place is killer good. ***Bonus*** You come out of this place not smelling like an ash tray AND they actually use the air conditioner. UNSAFE!!! After my last trip there, I won't ever feel comfortable going there again. Long story short: Friend of mine finds a St. Pat's hat laying on the dance floor. The (very drunk) 'owner' of the hat tries to reclaim the hat, and fight my friend. I step in, said jerk and his friend try to fight me as well. Police Officer and bouncers forcibly take both guys outside. Bar owner leads us over to the side bar to offer us a consolatory shot. While speaking with owner, I have an arm reach across my face and tap the owner on the shoulder...THE SAME ARM OF THE GUY WHO JUST GOT KICKED OUT!! I may be speaking from paranoia and a bad upbringing, but I felt like I was set up to take a blind-side shot. What the hell was this guy doing back inside the bar...especially when he had been kicked out five minutes prior....AND....kicked out the TWO PREVIOUS WEEKS?!? The actions by the owner and the drunkard made even the bartender and waitstaff we were with uncomfortable. All things aside, we came by on a Tuesday, but it was weak... Totally thought the guy behind the computer mixer for the music was a woman, but the music was definitely classic 80's hits. Enjoyed the movie posters on the walls, as many of them are some of my absolute favorites of all time. The personalities behind the bar were very stand-offish, and being in the service industry, as well as my friends, we tip well but not to the attitude and treatment we were given. My sister, girlfriend and I had a great time dancing the night away at this retro little club. They play a great selection of 80's music only, complete with nostalgic music videos that accompany the songs on several flat screen TV's that are put up the the corners of the club.. a la sports bar style. Cool vintage decor, and wild neon lights, its definitely the place for a rowdy night. We went late on a Friday evening, and there was no time for gabbing. Its totally a place to get your drink on and shake your groove thing! There's a a long bar area when you walk in to your left, and a lounge area close by to that. Further into the venue there is a small dance floor surrounded by bar top seating, and a little VIP bottle service lounge. We sat here at the few couches and had our own private dance floor. We haggled the price from the original $250 down to $150- but probably because we came in at 12:30 and the bar closed at 2. Prepare yourself for a great time, but to smell like smoke when you leave. i'm not sure how or why it happened but I had high hopes for this place. The name says Studio Eighty (i'm into just about everything 80's you see) and inside, SOMEWHERE there is an 80's theme. The only thing consistent was maybe the color changing lights outside and I guess the songs chosen by the DJ. I went in and you could totally tell this place used to be a restaurant. Also for some reason it smelled like urinal cakes throughout half of the place. Unless that is what 80's dive-clubs smelled like and I was just too young to get a whiff. The dancefloor is pretty big. There is a pool table in a pretty narrow back area. To be fair I did go at like 11 o'clock on a Thursday night and there were just about 12 people there including some older Ladies that probably just got off of work who just wanted to have a few drinks away from their homes, teenage kids and husbands who were probably off playing their weekly softball game. This place is a great idea but if it's going to have a theme, it needs to be B@lls deep in that theme. read more

So having said that I don't know why any young adults would ever come here. The median age is probably 40ish. I had fun here but would probably rather be at a different kind of dance club. Went here for a friend's bday night out and had a blast. It's definitely an older crowd but very interesting people watching to do! Our waitress was very sweet despite the service being crazy slow. Just go to the bar. Also stay away from anything that's supposed to have pineapple juice in it. It tasted like grapefruit or as though it whatever they were using was expired. We came here for our Miami Vice Party on a Saturday night. Drinks weren't too expensive and came with a glow stick for a cocktail stirrer. The dance floor is smallish but I appreciated the railing that was a handy spot to set down a drink. I'm an 80's kid, true, but I did not grow up with MTV as we did not have cable in our house growing up and were banned from even watching the Simpsons. Regardless, I'm not exactly a wealth of knowledge when it comes to 80's pop culture so the music and theme were not really my thing. I love the 80's and everything about it. Went here on a Thursday night, turns out there happened to be a bikini contest (I am lying, I knew there was going to be one. That's why I went). Even without the bikini contest, Studio Eighty gives off the vibe of a strip club. But it's not a strip club. But it feels like one. One of the girls from the bikini contest asked me to buy a poster from her. She got 2nd place. I told her, "No, but I want to support you in whatever you do, because you're hot as hell." Fellas, a good rule of thumb if you're trying to pick up women from a bikini contest: Go for the girls that get last or second to last place. Amazing crowd. Delicious music. I danced for six hours straight. The 90s room is also a great touch and allows for a nice change of scenery throughout the night. I love me some Studio 80! The crowd is great; like a big party. The music keeps you on the dance floor song after song after song..... You can get some good cardio in! Ladies are free on weekends and guys are $10. If you want one of the few tables that are available for walk-ins you better get there before 8:30. Otherwise you'll end up upstairs or standing. It's great for groups (with a reservation), couples, or singles. Everyone dances together. I'm giving it 4 Stars instead of 5 because of the seating/reservation issue. When we were there, there were empty tables downstairs but you had to pay if you wanted to sit there. A couple of hundred dollars! That's no bueno. read more

Before I start, first I want to thank all active duty personal now serving in our Military. I have been going to Studio 80 a few time and was always greated and given military HONORS with free entry. This time I went with my girlfriend and other friends but was created with, " Sorry Active duty members get free entry." So. the Vetetans that have served no longer get the same respect. Many of the veterans that served in Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, Afghanistan and gave to this country must now pay $10 cover charge at the door. Thank you for your past suport to our war veterans, and shame on you for your current support to those that have served. At prices for one fireball shot and a Angry Orchard totaling $14 is deadly high prices. Most clubs fireball is $4 and cider is $6. UNLESS like the past comments show the bartenders and servers charge their own prices still. Then the waitress that was drunk off her ass amd drinking the left over drinks on the table before clearing them. Great music (like totally 80s music). Non smoking indoors (smoking on patio). Grown up crowd- all ages but everyone is mature & there for a fun time. Dance floor gets crowded but there is a hookah lounge in the back with its own bar area with comfy couches and chairs for a quiet spot to talk or recover. The bathroom is kind of eh and in need of major upgrading. Nothing that will really matter to you in the moment. Major downer that there are only two stalls so the line is always kind of long. Word of warning- don't wait until the last minute to head to the ladies'. The drinks are a little pricier than most bars in Fort Worth. However there are always cheap "drink of the night" options at the back/hookah bar. Overall, I always have a blast there. Parking can be difficult. Studio EIghty was soooo fun! The music was awesome, the atmosphere was so cool and different from all bars in the area. The crowd was all ages and non judgmental. Here's why I only gave three stars....we were over charged by $33 once we got home. Our bill was only $23 when we closed our tab but when we checked charges the next day we were charged $55. I should have known better considering the hundreds of reviews I read stating the same issue. Huge bummer that you can't feel safe having a tab open there. Definitely bring cash! read more

She brought someone else's to me and basically said I never gave her my card, which I did. My husband even watched me hand it to her. Just visited 10/28/2017 for my friend's birthday. We all dressed up in Halloween Costumes. My girlfriend dressed as Wendy Peffercorn and I dressed as Squints from The Sandlot. We arrived at about 9:30pm, very early considering the club was only about a quarter full. I pay my cover charge, $10, and make my way to the bar to start a tab. A bouncer tells me that I'm not allowed to wear a ball cap and to check it at the window and doesn't want to hear that it was part of my costume as Squints from The Sandlot, a baseball movie.... Salty about it, went on with our night and still had fun. Saw 8-10 other guys with baseball hats on and saw another couple dressed as Squints and Wendy Peffercorn. I also saw 50+ people wearing masks that totally covered their faces. So how are masks totally fine yet a ball cap isn't? Side note....all the baseball caps checked in at the window were Texas Rangers hats...So is your sad little bouncer a Texas Rangers hater orrrr? Later on that night a fight breaks out between two older gentlemen in their 40s just between the 80s front dance floor and the front bar about 10 feet from my group as we got drinks. It took bouncers 2 minutes to get there and the cops another 2 minutes. The fight happened about 30 feet from the bouncers are the entrance to the club. How about your train your bouncers on club rules and how to behave and how to do their jobs?
