We started with two orders of calamari for the table. I'm vegan, so I didn't try it, but the others each took a couple of bites and immediately lost interest--it was that underwhelming. Both plates were essentially untouched and eventually cleared away. We didn't request a refund, but it was disappointing to see food go to waste. I ordered the beet salad, which sounded promising but ended up being extremely bland. The greens looked tired and wilted, so I mostly picked at the beets just to have something to eat. At our table, the lobster eggs Benedict was described as overcooked, and the waffles ordered by two guests were surprisingly poor--more like something out of a toaster than a proper brunch dish. I also ordered a fruit plate, which was another letdown. Some pieces still had rind attached, and overall the fruit was hard and not very enjoyable. To top it off, $4.50 for iced tea that wasn't even good felt excessive. On a positive note, our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely tried to accommodate my vegan preferences, which I appreciated. However, the person who delivered the food came across as dismissive and not particularly welcoming. Overall, the experience didn't match the expectations for the price, and I hope the restaurant takes a closer look at food quality and consistency

Although the price fluctuates slightly during the promotion period, it's currently $59 and normally comes with roasted potatoes & green beans. However, this time I asked if any other sides were available and was told I could have a salad instead. I chose the Caesar salad, which was cold, crisp, perfectly dressed and absolutely delicious. The lobster itself was incredible... sweet, tender and stuffed with lobster tail meat and a buttery Ritz cracker topping. I had enough leftover for 2 additional meals at home. I also enjoyed a nice Riesling with my tablemates, and indulged in a DIY Affogato for dessert; I ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream and an Espresso and voila! Our server was outstanding and the views, inside and out, were gorgeous. Looking forward to my next visit.

They had a sale going on for a full lobster covered with ritz crackers for $65. That didn't sound appetizing to me but most other tables had it. End of the day, with too, I think it was about $200-$225 for two adults and a 7 yo. Take that for what it is. Probably won't come back but they did have cotton candy with the check which made it fun with the kid.

We fell in love with her, the house, everything including the murder-by-mail story behind the house from the 1800s. About 2 weeks before the party we called Kaitlyn and told her it was going to turn into our surprise wedding! She continued to be so helpful and excited, giving recommendations for all kinds of vendors we'd need. The day of the party she was professional and hands-on, making sure everything got done on a quick timeline. She calmed nerves and had great suggestions on where things should go to make sure everything flowed just right. Our rental price included some tables and linens she had available, and some glassware too. It was so perfect from the start and we couldn't be happier!!

Beautiful historic building who's tour guides added in a true life murder mystery of the lady of the houses death. This really added to the event as it was so my scene and absolutely fun. I would def host an event here because unlike the Newport mansions I could touch things and see things in the midst of being historically preserved since they're still restoring the house. Then we ordered soup and entrees literally at 4:05 because we knew what we wanted. Lani said she would put the soup in first. Soon my French onion soup came out and I waited a few minutes for Louann's chowder. Lani saw I had soup and said she would check on the chowder. When she brought it out, it was cold. Lani took it back and microwaved it and it came back hot. We were still eating our soup when a male came with our entrees, literally pushing the soup bowls out of the way! So while we were eating our soup my ribeye was getting cold. Louanns seafood was on a heated dish, however, the mashed potatoes, her green beans and my asparagus were all cold! We informed Lani they were cold. She went back into the kitchen and upon return said they were going to bring more out to us. Shortly another woman, dressed more like an manager/asst mgr brought out a bowl with mashed potatoes and green beans. Oh did I mention I ordered a medium rare steak that was almost fully cooked. Now to end our experience while we were resting and finishing a drink, Louann had a view of the salad bar and where the cinnamon bread is kept. She watched as an older waitress with medium length white hair and glasses reached in with her hand and grabbed a piece of the bread. She then shook her hand in order to break off a piece. She then ate the piece and proceeded to lick her thumb and three fingers! She then placed her hand with the licked fingers on the counter. Then a cook handed her a dish of food that she grabbed with that same hand and brought it over to a group of 4 people sitting in the center booth facing the waterfall. I understand it was a busy evening, but this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever run into! (Excluding Lani she kept smiling and apologizing.) If you would like to discuss this with me my number is (508) xxx-xxxx I literally sent the above in an email on the 15th and it is now 2/19 at 4:34PM and have yet to hear back. We were only there less than 1 1/2 hours. We have never had this experience before but given the food safety issues I doubt we will ever go back!

This is the first time in years we've been kicked out of one. We drove there from Boston today for the first time, and heard great things about the place and the farmers' market. As we entered the gate, a banner with a picture of dogs was displayed. We drove on the grass and parked at the rear of the farmers' market. We unloaded our dogs. As we walked through the rear corner of the market, the first vendor sold dog treats and toys. We were browsing around, I was minding the dogs while my wife was looking at vegetables. The owner came over and was very rude and condescending, telling me they do not allow dogs, and proceeded to insist that I was a moron for not seeing a sign that said no dogs allowed. However, all I could see was the rear of the sign, and we had not entered the market that way. We promptly left as asked, again, at their place, their rules. I don't have an issue with that; my problem was with the delivery of the message. My wife and I could have sworn that when we looked at the website months ago, we saw that they welcome dogs, but after revisiting the FAQ page, it is clear that they do not. Our apologies for making the mistake.
