I remember Kaitlin's 60 second bulletins from many years ago when we were both members of a business networking group. She did exceptionally well then and continues to do well now. I purchased their special heat and serve Thanksgiving dinner. Needless to say it was superb! The pre sliced turkey breast was dressed with a delicious compound butter. The gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish and sides were superb. We supplemented with other sides from another restaurant ( which was equally great/ spread the wealth!). I would have to say one of my favorite places in RI. They do have limited hours due to being a carting business however, when they are open all I have to say is OMG! Mike was our coordinator and I felt like I was in good hands through the whole process- he was quick to respond to my many emails and the tasting experience was great. Frank and Kim were the two people who I would want to actually be guests at my wedding- they were so nice and comforting. They brought us appetizers when they saw we couldn't pull away to get our own. They made sure our drinks were full. They are just the sweetest. Ok I just want to say that I think this place is great, it's probably the nicest place to get a coffee and breakfast sandwich in olneyville. They are big on supporting local farms and businesses. The coffee is great and so isn't the food. The reason for the 2 star rating is because of the service (lack of) and the fact that I've been in here 4 times and had to walk out 3/4 times. I own a building in the area so I have stopped in a few times to grab a coffee before work. The first time I went and had to leave because nobody was in the building to wait on customers, there was a woman that clearly worked there that was walking around the parking lot doing the trash and going in and out of another adjacent building so I went in and waited about 10 minutes before giving up and leaving to get coffee somewhere else! My second visit was great, in and out in 5 min with coffee and sandwich. My third visit there wasn't anyone at all at the counter or in back in the kitchen...waited a little bit then left. Today I went in and the woman at the counter cleaning told me she would be right with me, turned into the kitchen and continued cleaning. Waited 5 min, walked outside to answer a 1 min phone call and headed back inside...5 more minutes passed and still nothing!!! This place was completely dead inside except for 2 guys having coffee in the corner, so it's not like she was busy trying to keep up with customers or anything so why the lack of service wtf?!? Anyway, I left without coffee AGAIN and went off to work without. I think I'm going to just start going the route to work that has a Starbucks again, it's a shame because I really wanted to have a nice cafe up the street from my shop that I can stop into for coffee throughout the day. read more

Get an idea of what you want, and then give them a call -- they'll walk you through everything you need to know and do to make sure your order is perfect and exactly what you want. Another thing I love? All of their ingredients -- from the meats to the cheeses to the produce -- is locally sourced and delicious. They're a truly thoughtful, passionate community participant and very obviously take pride not only in their work, but where their product originally comes from. I was lucky enough to see the owner of Easy Entertaining to a presentation at a local food festival with a livestock farmer she frequently works with, and the knowledge, passion and dedication these two women displayed during their lecture was inspiring and encouraging. I am so glad to know of them, and to have worked with them a few times now. I look forward to doing so again, and encourage anyone on the hunt for a caterer to give this group a shot. I usually do my own cooking, but this time I have been so busy and I didn't have the time to cook for a going away party for a long time employee. I decided to try Easy Entertaining catering service for a party of 20 on a Friday eve get together from 5-7:30 pm. At 4:30 ashley and nick arrived quietly and professionally setting up everything start to finish. Within 15 minutes my business was transformed into a really delightful table of goodies. Pastrami sliders, tomato tartlets, pulled chicken sandwiches, veggies and housemade chips. Reasonably priced too for the ease and deliciousness. What an excellent place for lunch. I've been working at Sprout for 3 months now and never had the opportunity to cross the driveway. Why did it take me so long??? It is an adorable space with a lovely menu full of traditional and healthy versions of a good variety of lunch foods. I had a spinach salad which was perfectly dressed and a nice size portion. The apple slices were a disappointment. If instead of chips or pasta salad you offer apple slices, I would expect maybe 1/2 an apple worth? It was a few microthinly slices of a mushy apple. But that is pretty much my only complaint. Easy Entertaining has excellent free parking. It is only open until 2pm. read more

Much love to a place that is making interesting food, using mostly local ingredients, yet still keeping the cost reasonable. The specials are revolving on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis. I have felt really nervous to lose something so tasty on the menu, and then I read the next week's special and feel just fine. I have enjoyed everything I've eaten here, from pizzas to soups to sandwiches. I tried two different donuts one day and was not a big fan, but I am quite picky on that front. They tasted a bit stale and had an odd texture to me. My colleague enjoyed the donuts, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The location is spectacular: gorgeous mill with high ceilings, modern chic decor, a beautiful bar, and some well thought out accents. The coffee is divine! Smooth and velvety, strong but no bite. Served in adorable square mugs with a charming bottle of cream! The whole place looks like it is right out of a shabby chic catalog. It is tucked in to the entrance to Rising Sun Mills and is very quiet. From what I gather catering is their main money maker and they're set-up in-house to do consultations. The cafe seemed like it was a good after thought, but I think it could really go places! There is ample seating, a large and well done bar (hooks for purses next to every seat ladies!) Yet I'm not sure they sell alcohol or even do weekend brunch. If they added on to their cafe menu and expanded hours they could do very well. My breakfast sandwich was alright... it had a bit of a fishy smell to it. But the coffee.. oh my! read more

And the staff are so courteous, professional, and good at what they do, they keep me returning for more week after week! I discovered Easy Entertaining on instagram about three years ago and decided to go there for #donutfriday because my son loves donuts. We've been back countless times since, for breakfast and Burger Night and Mother's Day brunch and our company Christmas party, etc. We love Burger Night and try to go every month - the burgers are delicious and so reasonably priced, and the fries are seriously the best around. Also the cookies! They're warm and the perfect texture - crisp edges with a soft, slightly chewy center. Kait, Nik, Frank, and Cody always provide top notch service too! And I love the space. The little lamps and plants everywhere are a great touch. One of our favorite date night spots in the city for sure! read more

Uneasy Entertaining Originally, we worked with Easy Entertaining's employee Devorah beginning in January 2015. She worked with us to plan a creative and tasty farm to table menu with Chef Ashley that met our budget requirements. We had full confidence in their abilities to make our wedding day a success. Four weeks away from the wedding, Devorah had left the company and we were working with the owner, Kait. We received a new itemized contract that was completely off from what we discussed at our tasting. Big issues like the removal of promised complimentary meals for the vendors and there were approximately $500 in additional set up, cleaning, and breakdown fees. When we inquired about these sudden unexpected costs and changes, Kait was extremely condescending saying "The buck stops here", "We are bending over backwards for you people" and "We wish these things could be handled by themselves, but they can't". Utterly disgusted by the lack of Kait's professionalism and tact, my husband and I decided to save costs and aggravation by setting up ourselves after our rehearsal dinner, having to ask family and our wedding party to pitch in and help. When we told the venue we needed to get in the night before to do so, they were shocked that our caterer wanted to charge us for this and felt so bad that they offered to have some of their restaurant staff do it for us. Flash forward to the wedding day and the catering nightmare ensued. Something we only truly realized at the end of the night when we started asking our guests about the cocktail hour, meals, and cake. The reviews were so mortifying that I was sick to my stomach in tears the morning after my wedding and feeling stupid that we had already paid our catering bill in full before our wedding day. Here's what happened: Strike 1: Cocktail hour. 75% of our 155 guests said they received 0-1 appetizers at the cocktail hour. My husband and I reviewed our wedding video and found there were only FOUR servers serving trays with only SIX appetizers each continuously serving the same areas. We paid for TEN servers and 500 PASSED appetizers. Strike 2: Dinner. Most guests stated their meals were cold or dry or both. Guests found the beef brisket to be dry and tough. We checked our leftovers later and sadly they were right. Chicken with risotto was supposed to be served. Most guests found the chicken to be cold and dry and thought the risotto was mashed potatoes. Again, we checked with our leftovers and found our "risotto' like mashed potatoes. Strike 3: Cake. My mother in law gifted us a 4-tiered cake with Swarovski crystals handing between the tiers. ALL of our guests said they had one bite, went to dance to one song, came back, and it was gone. Our bridesmaid table of 12 people said they only got 6 pieces and had to share. The cake was completely wasted. They tossed it all in the trash and started cleaning up early before the night was even over. Also, we explicitly stated the top layer with topper and crystals needed to be saved. All we got back was the top of the cake (our specially engraved topper missing) and half of the crystals. Rather than offering us a refund after admitting to these mistakes, Kait's silver lining was verbatim, "Well, look on the bright side, you had a beautiful wedding and you're married now." We were shocked by this deflection and do not credit her with the positive aspects of our day. Therefore, we regrettably do not recommend this caterer. read more

We just had our wedding catered by Easy Entertaining, and it was wonderful. We had initially chosen another caterer, but when that fell through, they were extremely gracious when we got back in touch. Kait and Kelsey were so easy to coordinate and communicate with. We went to the cafe and were able to try some options, and got even more excited... Our final guest count was about 75. Kelsey was our point person and her competence and organization really decreased our planning stress. The day of, everything was lovely--exactly how we imagined. And let's talk about that food: we had several passed appetizers (spinach & cheese tartlets, crab cakes, and grilled shrimp cocktail), oysters, and three tasting stations with a variety of options--antipasti, a mezze bar (mediterranean), and a slider bar. Everything was delicious and we had many rave reviews! Our guests loved it, and the displays/stations were all beautifully arranged in our venue (the Lippitt House in Providence). The service was excellent and had everyone was professional and friendly, with a real sense of ease about them. Frank, the ambassador of hospitality, was fantastic as he attended to us personally. So pleasant and gracious--it was so fun. Thank you, Frank! All the other staff were great as well. It really went without a hitch for us. The day flew by, and we will remember it always. Ok so my girlfriend and I have been here twice now and it seems to be get better and better every time. This is shocking since it was amazing the first time. They have a special pizza every week and this week was a taco pizza, which was very fresh and tasty. The mushroom crostini was to die for. It's too bad that it's a special and not on their regular menu. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I recently used them again for my husband's 40th birthday celebration, when we were in complete Covid lockdown. They were amazing and turned an unfortunate situation (Covid 40th party) into the best possible scenario. The owner made meal boxes comprised of my husband's favorite foods and even sourced his favorite beer and cigars. The food was delicious (as always), the presentation was beautiful, and they even dropped everything off at my work since I have such a crazy schedule. We've had several lunches at EE and we love everything, every time. On our last visit I had the Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese and I swear I died and went to heaven!! Delicious, on the whole, though expensive for the portions. Ambiance is lovely and the staff is delightful. The power salad is small and has not nearly enough fresh goodies on it to be worth $11, and if I wanted to add a protein--$15 is too much for grilled chicken on a bed of greens with a few radishes. The skinny taco salad was mixed greens with literally 6 beans on it and a tablespoon of cheese, then came with a massive taco shell (not the best combination of veggies, protein, and carbs if you're trying to eat "skinny"). The soup my friend got was mainly broth. The food is delicious--I just wish there was more of what makes a dish good--the proportion of "fun" ingredients to the whole. I typically make salads for myself that are chockfull of goodies, so I expect similar or better from a restaurant--something I can't easily make at home. read more

These guys recently catered my husbands surprise 40th Birthday Party, which was held in my backyard. I wanted a cocktail party with the works (tent, food, dancing, drinks, etc). Easy Entertaining did the food which was passed hors' dourves and stationary items (cheese and fruit displays). They did an excellent job. They brought 6 or 7 staff people (servers and chefs) and we had about 45 guests. They were all wonderful and very professional. The stationary displays were delectable and so interesting to look at. The servers replenished and continuously cleaned up around the displays. They pride themselves on being a small company and using all local and fresh ingredients which they seemed to accomplish quite well! I wanted raw oysters and little-necks which actually came from Rhode Island. All of the other food was amazing and they cooked the hot appetizers right in my kitchen and served them hot to the guests. Erica (event organizer) gave me a lot of guidance and attention in the planning of the whole party. She even worked with me to stay within my budget. The end result far exceeded my expectations! Everyone loved being served delicious appetizers all night and it made the party that much more fun and entertaining.
