It's always nice to get out of the office and away from the usual work grind. Because we all could…read moreuse a little better time management, I registered for a Time Management through Outlook course at Mission Critical Training. In all reality, it was my boss's idea to attend, so I could come back and brief him and the other supervisors (all 20 of them) on how we can all utilize our time more efficiently. Located off Alton Way in the Tech Center, the building was easy to spot and provided a decent amount of parking. However, entering the lot is a bit tricky, as there is only one entrance and exit creating a little bit of havoc. Despite the awkward parking layout, the building itself is large, and shares the space with surrounding businesses. There is another location in Westminster as well - but I have yet to go there! To the left of the front door, is where the training happens! Filled community tables, with sleek laptops all facing the front, there is no bad seat in the house. The course itself was interesting, both introductory and complex, and lasted just one day. We were given an instruction book, with spaces to take notes, fill in the blanks and provided us with a more interactive experience. We were allowed a generous hour for lunch and ended the day early after plowing through the lessons in record time. Courses are offered on a variety of topics, with some lasting longer than others and start at $450 - which isn't half bad! Ken, our instructor for the day, was insanely friendly, providing fun conversation - both professional and personal - and allowed plenty of time for all types of questions. He also provided coffee with 7, I repeat 7, different kinds of flavored creamer for our enjoyment! After all was said and done, it wasn't a bad way to spend the day and can see me attending more courses in the future!

Vicki is the Memory Mavin and has been teaching, writing and speaking on memory training for over…read more40 years. I first met her in Los Angeles when she was teaching memory training to actors for her, "Off Book In Minutes," course. She helped me with auditions, coaching me with her method to help me memorize lines and most quickly get a feel for my character. She also taught acting as a teacher for Los Angeles Unified Arts Education Program for 10 years. I read her amazing book, "Love Remembers," about how she was in a car accident getting hit by a big rig truck and healed herself teaching memory to Alzheimer's and Dementia patients and they all got better together. I learned that practicing the memory system she taught me will grow new "brain sprouts' so that my mind will continue to get sharper and faster as I get older. I won't have to worry about those diseases I just mentioned because my brain will be so strong from practicing the memory system. She's a nice person too, very kind and cares about you. Check out her Mp3's on her website Brainsproutsmemory.com and her book Loveremembers.com. She's the real deal and can help you and your loved ones with any memory issues and brain function. AVOID THIS SCHOOOL!!!…read more I first went to this school in 2019. I ended up failing (100% on me) I figured hey it was a great school Im going to focus on a little but more and really go after it ! I enrolled again in Summer of 2023, and figured hey ill also take my wife with me. Long story short we get done with ALL the hours. The videos online that Pat does are from 4-5 YRS ago! We noticed that when the books were completely off to what Pat was saying in the video ! And if you look closely at the videos on the bottom right I believe they were from 2020. We contacted them about it and said its all correct but alot of errors on the book. The questions on their quiz don't always match the questions and answers on the book. Did the market not change between 2020 until now dramatically ? They stress "Call us if you need help, or with questions. But when you do Pat and Dave get very defensive. Not only that they take days to get back to you. And finally get to the final. I reach out to the front office (Debbie) and she's reading my old file from 2019, which I was very confused about. And whenever we would have a question she would say "let me connect you with Dave" and he would send me to vm. Mind you I did it online this time as well so maybe there was a little bit of confusion on their system. After the 168 ours were done it was test time and they told both of us that "We only had one time to pass BOTH" They said because we were passed the expiration date? They would be "nice " and give us a discount so we would have to pay $300 dollars each after just paying them $1400. Wouldn't ever recommend and wont ever recommend! They set you up to fail so you can sign up again and pay them again! Thier stats on how good and their passing rate is misleading. They take all of their students who actually passed THIER test and PSI then count that. They dont mention anything about the percentage that actually dont pass at all. IF we would have known we were one and done with testing we would have gone with Kaplan or ACRE or just another school! Hopefully help future RE agents out when looking into their future school.

Therefore, I can only write about the location, the building, and the amenities. Location, it is a beautiful area of Denver right next-door to Washington Park and it's large lake..The size of the school appears to be able to hold at least 1500 students plus and is well designed. It has a very large cafeteria as well as auditorium, all of which are located in a four story building. The main entry needs some work - the painted murals need refreshing. All in all, very nice.

Spent a semester at this school. Definitely has an "inner city school" feeling about it. I met some…read moregreat people while I attended, but I also would chat with sone kids in class and Id ask "any plans after high school?" To which they would respond "I'm not even thinking of finishing high school." or "I don't want to go to college, Ill work fast food somewhere." The drive from many students was sadly quite low and it affected many students around them. I also thought it was very odd when I had a history class taught by 3 different teachers. One teaching in Spanish, the next Arabic, then the final one in English. It was quite distracting and was an inefficient way to teach. I transferred out after a semester.

I was very impressed with the production and the fact that the drama teacher acted as a mentor and the students did everything else from director to producer to set and prop designers. It made me realize that this is the ultimate support of local art and education. For the price of the ticket, the Husband and I had a wonderful evening watching a well done production of The Secret Garden and for $1.50 more we shared a bottle of water and two cookies. You should check your local high school's theater productions and have a fun inexpensive evening out.

The nearby community is safe and convenient to a lot of businesses and shops. The programs such as IB on top of a strong AP program does produce a lot of good students. In terms of the student population I think GW has always had a healthy mix of varying ethnic and economic backgrounds. Both essential to developing well rounded personalities prepared to deal with the real world. If you are a planning to live in this school district definitely check things out for yourself, but don't discount GW just because its a "city" school.
