The driver was aggressively tailgating us and even honked because we stopped at a red light instead of running it. It was unnecessary, unsafe, and reflected poorly on the company. Professional drivers should represent their business with more courtesy and respect on the road.

I had gotten a bid from a landscape company that was $50 more a fixture than Jarrod's, and the other bids I got from two other electricians were comparable to GLE's. I went with Jarrod due to his good reviews and the fact that he was punctual and responsive to calls/e-mails. He was the first to respond and first to come out for a bid. The day of install his electrician Dan had gotten there before Jarrod and arrived exactly when he said he would. Jarrod was picking up the materials. By the time Jarrod arrived Dan had already reattached my fusebox, (which they did for free), and had taken down the old fixture. Dan did a good job and finished that afternoon and showed me how everything worked. He cleaned up everything as well. After he left and the lights came on, one of the lights was not working, even though Dan had tested them all. I e-mailed Jarrod that evening but didn't hear back. I called Jarrod the next day, (today, a Friday), and he said Dan had called in sick, that he was already going to have him come by, but now he couldn't today. He apologized for not returning the e-mail, that he didn't read it until late Thursday night. Jarrod said he was way down South still and asked if he could come back on Tuesday after Memorial Day to fix it. I told him, (nicely), that we had paid for the work and would like to have it wrapped up, could someone come by some time today. Jarrod dropped what he was doing, came to Round Rock, fixed it, then headed back to the other job after he e-mailed me it was done. If I have any more electrical work done I will be calling Green Light Electric, I added him to my phone contacts.

We used Green Light to have 2 ceiling fans replaced on an 18 foot ceiling. The first visit got most…read moreof the work done, but we didn't have the right adapters for the angle of the ceiling - our fault. We had to reschedule a follow up visit because Jarrod's truck broke down, but eventually got them back out. Unfortunately, they decided to install the fan remote control receivers (at the canopy 18 feet high) and not to change the ancient wall dimmer switch that controlled them. That switch wasn't safe to use, and destroyed the remote control receivers the first time the switch was turned off. I replaced the switch (for a whole $1), but the damage was done. A week after I e-mailed Jarrod about this, I texted him -- he replied that he would answer me, but never did. I gave up after another week, and bought new remotes, rented a truck and tall ladder, and replaced the remotes myself. A grand total of $180 extra and a Saturday spent to fix a mistake that shouldn't happen with a professional electrician.

Chadwick showed up on time in very nasty weather to work on our doorbell. The last electricians…read morethat didn't fix it, (referred from the home warranty company), said "the transformer was bad." Chadwick looked at it and we both looked all over for the transformer and could not find it. I don't think the last guys did either and neither did Chadwick. He showed me where the line was cut to the doorbell and how the copper was old and oxidized. He installed a new transformer using existing wiring and made it work. I was very happy to get that fixed and will hire him to set up the lights for the front of our house. 4/7/2014 Addendum: Due to my previous 5-star rating and good experience with Elite Electric I was going to have Chadwick put in some landscape lighting at our house. I made an appointment after the last visit (and the review above) and he didn't show up, didn't call. That was January. Then I rescheduled, took off work to meet him, time came, no electrician. I texted him and then called him and he called me back and said I was on the schedule, but he had forgotten. I asked if he could still make it out, and he said he would try. He called me two hours later at 5:00 to say no he couldn't after all. I was pretty unhappy and will be going with someone else for my lighting. He is a nice guy and knows what he is doing when he does come out, but the last two experiences are going to have me going somewhere else.

Called in early December of 2020 to see if they could come out and give us a "on a job. Probably would have been a 4 to $500 job I imagine. They said that they were really busy and call back in 5 weeks why they couldn't have simply made an appointment for 5 weeks from them I don't know. Called back in mid February of 2021, only to be told the exact same thing again. If you don't want to do the job, just say it. Don't give people to run around and waste their time.

My wife called on Tuesday and he agreed to come out on Thursday after lunch. Here is the frustrating part and why he gets 1 star. I took the afternoon off from work to meet with him at our house. When he actually called us that afternoon he was calling to tell us that he wasn't going to make it to our house but could fit us in next week. REALLY? You are going to call us when you should actually already be at our house and tell us you're not coming but still want the job a week later? NO THANKS. If you make an appt. with someone you do everything you can to keep it. If something comes up and you know there is an issue (which he did admittedly) you call as quickly as possible so that the client can make other plans. In my case, not burn half a day of vacation. I'm typically one of the first people to recommend someone if they go out of their way or do a bang-up job but if a business is inconsiderate or wastes my time I feel it is my obligation to warn others...
