We appreciate how the management is working here, how when a technician pulled the truck out they heard tire rub (which is normal on a 2500 sized truck with wide tires on it)but the manger immediately checked on it to make sure that everything was alright with the truck. To get all 4 tires done it took about 1 hour and 30 mins roughly which is the quickest we've had tires taken off the rim, put back on the rim and balanced! Great crew and great service!

That's the only reason I chose to go there instead of my usual mechanic. When Firestone looked at it, they claimed the problem wasn't the outlet hose at all -- it was the inlet hose, which is conveniently not covered by warranty. That immediately raised red flags. The outlet and inlet hoses are in completely different spots -- one's up, one's down -- it's not a small detail to get wrong. I asked the technician if I could record the issue for my own reference and clarity, and I was met with a sharp, condescending attitude. I came in alone. I fit the image of the "naive woman" they thought they could get over on -- and that's exactly how I was treated: dismissed, patronized, and pressured. When I asked how soon I could get my car back, the tech snapped at me, "So you're not getting any work done?" I calmly said no -- it had already been diagnosed as an outlet hose, and if it wasn't that, I'd go back to my regular shop. His whole energy changed -- cold, defensive, and rude. There was zero professionalism. Let me be clear -- the two shops I went to prior were honest, skilled, good-hearted people. The way Firestone handled me was the total opposite. I left without agreeing to the repair. But when I got home, my coolant reservoir was completely empty. I topped it off and monitored it. Before Firestone, I had to add coolant maybe every 3-4 days. But the next morning -- after only a 10 to 15-minute drive to work -- my entire hood was engulfed in smoke. I immediately pulled over and opened the hood. I recorded a video. What I saw was alarming: coolant was violently spitting from the inlet hose, and it was clearly not even connected properly. The wet interface was leaking profusely. My coolant tank was bone dry again, and I'm just thankful my car didn't overheat on the road. At this point, I felt deceived, gaslit, manipulated -- and like my vehicle had been tampered with to make the inlet hose appear to be the issue. It went from a manageable slow leak to a dangerous, dramatic failure within hours of Firestone touching it. I didn't pay a cent -- and never will. This wasn't just poor customer service. It was unsafe, unethical, and deeply disappointing. If you're a woman, document everything. If you rely on their warranty, get a second opinion. I don't have a great sense of how the price compares with other places, but I have always felt like Jiffy Lube provides a great value compared to a dealership or other vendor. Especially for a walk in appointment! I don't think I even got through a whole chapter, they were so quick! I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I returned to the Valvoline later the same day. There was one employee left for the day, even though it was more than an hour before they closed, and he said he wouldn't be able to "do anything" on his own (?) but went below the car to check. He said it was just "frame oil" meaning oil dripped during the change. He said he wiped it up and I should be good. When I woke up the next morning, my car was still leaking oil. My partner took the car in and had them re-do the oil change. He also checked my tire pressure and found one of the tires was almost flat. He asked the Valvoline employees if they checked my tire pressure the day before and they said they did. While Valvoline claims that oil change services include an 18-point maintenance check, which includes tire pressure, my receipt from the day before indicated that the tire pressure was not checked. So I guess you have to explicitly ask for air in your tires, even though the marketing includes that as part of the service you're paying for. Amazing. The re-did oil change was performed free of charge. It did not fix the leak. So began a claim process with Valvoline corporate. Valvoline corporate had me get the issue diagnosed at a mechanic and get a quote. The diagnosis was that the oil filter housing was crushed and damaged. Apparently not uncommon at quick oil change places that use machines and move quickly. Quote was more than $300. There was also a nail in my tire. Good to know. So I sent the quote to Valvoline corporate. They said they'd get back to me within 48 hours. I called back a few days later, they said they had to wait for the manager to approve it. This went on for a couple weeks. At one point a call rep mentioned offhand that the money had already been transferred to the mechanic for the work. I asked if I could go get the work done then, since Valvoline had paid for it. They said no, we had to wait for the local Valvoline location manager to approve it, that's "just how it works." They would put me on hold and call the branch and no one would answer. What a huge flaw in the system, huh. That happened multiple times. Valvoline corporate assured me they would call me back and they never, not once, did. After about a month, my car slowly leaking oil this entire time, I called one last time. The rep pulled up my claim and immediately apologized and said he was escalating it to every manager and they would get back to me the next business day. I waited a week after that and then finally just went to the mechanic and got the fix done that Valvoline had already paid for. I'm not sure why any sane person would wait as long as I did to get a "green light" from a manager who clearly did not care. The customer service process seems intentionally created to put all the burden on the customer. What is happening that nowadays we go to a get an oil change, receive a maintenance problem instead, and the company runs in circles for five weeks. At least my car was drivable in the meantime. At least Valvoline did pay for the repair. But I should have at the very least also received a refund for the botched oil change in the first place without having to ask.

I've never once been upsold on things I did not need, they only verified what I already know needed to be done.
