Do you know what James said? "I've got some window units that I'll bring by so you'll be comfortable until I can get back to install the new system". JKJ was awesome. They were recommended to us by a friend who is a contractor. While in the process…read moreof buying a home, we discovered that some electrical work might need to be done on the house. In order to better inform our negotiation process with the sellers, we asked JKJ to do an estimate on the work. From the time that we got the recommendation from our friend, it took about 48-72 hours for us to call JKJ, get a technician to the house, and receive a complete estimate for the work that needed to be done. Thanks to the incredibly speedy estimate JKJ did for us, we were able to negotiate a decrease in the price of the house. Fast forward two months and we had closed on the house and needed the electrical work to actually be done. We talked to two other electricians and got estimates from them (in the interest of making sure we were getting a good price). One was extremely unprofessional and rude and they would not have been a good company to work with. The second company was unavailable to do the work on our schedule. So we ended up going back to JKJ and hiring them for the work. Within a week and a half of calling them to schedule the work, it had been completed - installed recessed lighting, re-wired some of the kitchen appliances, installed outlets in the kitchen, and did a heavy up on our electrical panel. We were extremely please with how speedy they were. They were also professional, knowledgeable, and extremely easy to work with. When we had questions about what needed to be done or the best way to go about the work, they were always there to provide very satisfactory answers. Their price was minimally higher than the other estimates that we had done, but it was not a significant difference (a few hundred $ on a $6k job). Even when things took a little longer than expected, the cost did not change from the estimate we were given, despite the extra man hours. I would recommend JKJ to everyone I know who needs electrical work done.

I strongly recommend against selecting MiselBerger Inc. for HVAC services. Prospective customers…read moreshould exercise caution and ensure that any proposed system is independently verified for proper sizing and design before proceeding with this company. Or, just don't hire them at all! MiselBerger Inc. recommended, sold, and installed a central AC system that is fundamentally incapable of cooling the 2nd & 3rd floor of our home, as agreed upon in the contract for their services. From the outset, the system has failed to perform its most basic function: maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures. Even while running continuously at maximum output, it struggles to bring the 2nd floor below the high 70s during late spring and summer weather conditions. MiselBerger Inc returned to our home more than five times to inspect the system and attempt modifications or fixes in the weeks after initial installation. None of their interventions resulted in a reasonable indoor temperature. After the repeated visits, they eventually gave up, blaming our "leaky house," rather than taking responsibility for their own errors. At no point did they acknowledge the improper sizing or offer a meaningful solution, refund, or corrective action. We eventually sought an independent evaluation from another HVAC contractor. That assessment confirmed what MiselBerger Inc. refused to acknowledge: the system they installed is significantly undersized. They installed a 2-ton unit (24,000 BTUs) for a space that requires approximately 33,000 BTUs (2.7 tons). This is not a minor discrepancy. It is a clear failure to perform basic load calculations and recommend appropriate equipment. We relied on MiselBerger Inc's expertise to guide this decision. Instead, we were sold a system that was never capable of meeting our home's cooling demands on the 2nd and 3rd floors. MiselBerger Inc failed to perform due diligence and left us with a costly, ineffective system that cannot do the job it was sold to do.

We called MiselBerger and they responded quickly. Jesse showed up on time and was simply wonderful in every way. He was respectful, professional, and friendly. He worked very hard to get that unplugged... used a 30-50 feet snake (can't remember the actual length). Looked like it may not work and then BAM! He unclogged it and gave us tips for prevention in the future (even though it's really just these old pipes) And the price was a BARGAIN.
