I finally got a chance to stop in at Strickland's last week for lunch. I ordered the burger and fries. The fries were decent and the burger was prepared exactly as I had asked for it. The customer service was prompt and efficient. My only complaint was that the burger was very very pink throughout and I was not asked what temperature I would like the burger cooked. I didn't eat most of the burger as I don't care for mid rare or mid burgers. What I did eat of it was tasty, the fries were fresh. read more

Very clean when I walked in the door. Hand sanitizer at door. 50% capacity at present. 8 tables, seating 4-8. With that said, let's get to the menu. BREAKFAST & LUNCH SERVED ALL DAY. This is important, because we have picky eaters. Omelets, Burgers, etc. We ordered the Breakfast Tacos and a Cheeseburger w/egg. Three breakfast tacos were loaded with cheese, turkey sausage, tomato, peppers, and onions. Salsa on the side. More meat/toppings available. The burger was big. On a glazed brioche bun, dripping with Monterey Jack cheese and sautéed onions. Homemade cookies coming out of the oven. Peanut butter, Oatmeal, and Choc Chip. They also had the basic breakfast choices & then some. Cafe is nothing fancy, but the service was good and the staff was friendly. I gave them a 4 star, not based on venue. But on cleanliness, attitude, food variety @ breakfast, and my food was very good. read more

Cheerful atmosphere, great food and wonderful service. We stopped here for Sunday morning breakfast. 30 minute wait well worth it. Staff are friendly and kind. I watched them take time to care for someone who needed a meal and didn't have the means to pay and learned they have a benevolent fund and a first responder fund. Food was good home cooking. I highly recommend this place. Mr. Strickland knew what he was doing in opening this place up. It is open for breakfast and lunch, I think they close around 3 PM. I have eaten both lunch and breakfast here, and because the menu is so diverse and so delicious, the only difficult thing is deciding which one to order, because everything I've eaten here was delicious. The huevos rancheros were great so we're the breakfast burritos. All of the sandwiches that I sampled made for a great lunch. One that stands out especially is the BLT. It's served on Texas style toast, and the amount of bacon....VERY ample!
