Their coffee is roasted down in Texas using oak which is really cool.they're coffee is so good and I had an oat milk cinnamon iced latte and it was perfect not sweet at all. The service was cool. I tend to avoid chain coffee places like Starbucks whenever I can and look for local. Summer moon was it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was fairly busy and they have seats along the windows where all of the college kids were plugged in doing their homework.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I was in college I went to a library for that lol. They have a decent selection of pastries and handhelds but not a lot but you really don't need a lot because you're there for the coffee anyway. My daughter got a chai latte and I got the mocha Moon and you can tell them how much of the pre-made kind of looks like chocolate milk Moon mixes in. I really enjoyed this coffee so much I went back a second day because there's not a pile of chocolate at the bottom because it's already mixed in. It's almost like and I could be wrong that they steam and froth chocolate milk for you which totally works for me! The coffee was a good strength and a good value as well. Perfect refreshment for a warmer than experience extend game day visit. I ordered my iced coffee with the suggested/most popular half sweetness and it was perfect. More sweetener would have definitely been overwhelming. I purchased a bag of beans to go and also enjoyed a ham and cheese hand pie and pumpkin scone. The hand pie, although asked to be heated only slightly for my 2 year old child came out with actually boiling cheese. I'm so glad I decided to break it in half for her, it gave me a blister! This really needs to be looked at but once the hand pie cooled down it was seriously soooo good. I heard such great things about this coffee shop. Was a bit disappointed when I got my drink. I ordered a matcha. It was very milky. The matcha flavor was nice but wish it wasn't so milky. Clemson needed another coffee shop and this place brings a unique twist to the scene. The coffee boasts a smoky flavor that is balanced well by their addition of "moon milk". Moon milk is similar to a sweet cream and they have a chart on the wall that provides guidance for first timers. I ordered a hot summer moon with the least amount of moon milk and it didn't disappoint. Summer moon was a delightful surprise. I'm always a little weary of coffee chains and although this is one that is based in Dallas, it fit the Clemson small town vibe and was a favorite. Summer moon offers a free flowing energetic atmosphere with a signature spin to their coffee add ons. Their infamous moon cream sweetener adds a little extra pizazz to your daily cup of joe. The coffee itself was bold/had great flavor. Along with its vibes, location and lastly excellent service, I'd give this coffee shop a 4. It stands out in this area. Ambiance is great in downtown Clemson. I definitely ordered wrong which is nobody's fault so I wasn't super satisfied but my friend ordered something delicious. Everyone is very nice, but the menus are really hard to interpret. There's 4-5 menus with all different things and the names of drinks are not as indicative of what's in them. Overall, I think this place has great potential and I can't wait to get to know the menu better so I can order perfectly next time. read more
