I just have to say, out of the 10+ years I have been going to Starbucks, today was hands down the best experience I have ever had. I was greeted by a wonderful lady named Nissa and I could tell she was more passionate about giving you the right cup of coffee for you rather than you just being another transaction. I am never confident in trying new things at Starbucks because I honestly get overwhelmed by the menu. Nissa really slowed down and personalized my experience by asking me literally if I wanted a coffee flavored drink or a refresher and we built up from there. I now have my own drink I know I can order from Starbucks whenever I got. I highly recommend this store and I absolutely appreciate the extra mile service I received today. read more

Ever since they have remodeled the space, I feel as if the interior is more welcoming in a way. It reminds me of the interior of Biscuit Head due to the community table. They have a giant table where many people can sit around it/together. This location is close to my home and convenient for me. It is also in front of the movie theater. read more

A great place for homework or work work! I went there today to get caught up on work while enjoying some joe, and it was amazing. I love the new layout of the location. They got rid of the smaller tables where often 1 person would take up and did longer tables where people can share. They also have little nooks of comfy chairs. The service is always great. What's the point of ordering on the app? This is the second time this week I just left without my drink. Worst experience so far at a Starbucks. I was under the impression that the employees had some sort of training in regards to customer service. Apparently this location not so much. I came thru the drive-thru at lunch time and ordered a venti ultra caramel frap. When the young lady at the window handed me the drink I stated that it didn't have any caramel in it, certainly not an amount to warrant the label "ultra" I asked if she could remake it and she took the drink back. The second drink came a short time later with a "is this better?" Comment. It looked better yes, but upon driving away I discovered it was almost entirely foam. With most of my lunch break now gone, I turned back and went into the store. I asked for the manager and a guy named Nick came out of the back. I asked him how much a Venti Ultra Caramel Frap was and he keyed it into the computer and told me it was about $6 and some change. I then asked him if he thought that I had a $6 coffee in my hand and asked him if he could please make me the drink that I paid for. He grabbed the cup from me, chucked it into the sink, and began slamming and throwing things around as if I had done something wrong. He was visibly upset and then started complaining to another worker, (bigger guy with piercings) At that point I was done inconveniencing them and asked for a refund. He came back with a "oh you want your money back now" and I said yes, it's not difficult to make a coffee and you're visibly upset so I will take my business elsewhere. This is the first poor experience I've had at Starbucks and I go to various locations at least twice a week and up to four times a week. I can say without a doubt that I will not be returning to this location and I hope that upper management is able to see this review and speak to Mr. Nick about his attitude. Eh, the baristas were nice enough... after they asked me what I ordered two minutes after I originally placed my order because they were "trying to figure out which one's they'd done already." The real problem was I asked for a Pumpkin Spice Latte Frap, which they can make easily, something I ordered regularly while I still lived in Los Angeles, and they made me something disgusting. The end result tasted like lightly flavored coarse snow, and since I'm non-confrontational, I didn't want to complain. I doubt there was coffee in it, they mysteriously put the latte in two stacked cups (???), and it was doused in a tablespoon of cinnamon or something (as opposed to a light sprinkling). Learn how to make coffee. Seriously. If I'm paying $5 for a fancy corporate beverage, I expect it to be outstanding. read more

I am completely blown away by the staff here at N. Pleasantburg. When I entered on Thursday night I was concerned it was going to be a rough experience considering they looked understaffed and swapped. Working in food industry I was prepared to muster up my patience. This was not the case at all though; Rose who was on the bar alone managed to hold her composure the ENTIRE time I was in the store (around an hour). She smiled and apologized to guests for delays and never allowed herself to lose herself amongst the chaos. My drink came out quickly and the staff were all delightful. Even when a guest snapped at a barista in training, Rose calmly tried to speak to the woman without losing her patience. The woman stormed out, but again Rose consoled the trainee who had begun to tear up. Her tenderness and patience (as well as the rest of the staff's) BLEW ME AWAY. Excellent job. read more

I come to this particular Starbucks quite often; sometimes just dropping by on impulse or to claim a Lucky Dozen from my Gold Level Rewards, and I'm always happy with my visit. Tonight, after seeing a movie with a friend across the street, I decided to come in and get a late-night caffeine fix. I didn't realize they closed at 10:30 and it was 13 after, so I was hesitant to come in and felt guilty doing so. But the young man and young woman (I wish I could give them proper acknowledgement by name) working were very polite and were happy to make my drink and answer my questions about the transactions' impact on my Rewards. I appreciated it. I highly recommend this location (and also the Greer/Wade Hampton and E. North Street locations) because of the great people there who are unconditionally positive and helpful!
