I love her Tower, Yamuna, and TRX Pilates classes. She has been a fitness instructor for many years and keeps the energy up and positive and humorous but also uses expert clinical direction for body movements and alignment. She has a keen eye for proper form and offers personal adjustments which is my favorite kind of instructor. You will see and feel results when you start coming to her classes. I also love Jennifer's jump and Power Tower classes. I can feel every muscle working and it's a guaranteed solid workout. Plus she's so kind and friendly and the classes have great sequences. I purchased a package of private Pilates sessions with Teri as a gift for someone else and they absolutely love her attention to body movement and how their body feels after a 1:1. They say there is so much more awareness throughout the day of body position and posture and that they make corrections for better support. This place is a gem-- I don't mind the drive from St Paul in rush hour to attend any of the classes here. The instructors are high quality and very well trained.

I initially discovered this as it was new to my local area, and I can't tell you what a fantastic find it has been. Each instructor is very well versed in the arts of the Stott Pilates Methods and has the in-depth knowledge to create an individual, program to help you regain strength post surgery, or something such as run you through the Pilates principles to prepare you to enter a reformer course. The fun doesn't stop there! The also offer mat, Yamuna body rolling,,4!types Pilates classes and a nutritionist to help you meet each goal. This has been be best, most rewarding find since my move to Woodbury. Check them out. They each are wonderful, and will tailor a program suited to your individual or group needs. .

This is fair, as you would NOT want to share hand wraps (sharing the gloves is bad enough), though for a complete beginner, it is kind of shocking that you need to drop six dollars just as you walk in the door. The staff will wrap your hands for you, to protect your wrist, fingers, joints, etc. They do a great job, and before class starts there are some lockers that you can stash your stuff in. There are no locker rooms mind you, there is a shower room, and bathrooms. If you need to change, you can do it in there. So you pick your bag, and hopefully you brought water, because you'll need it. You start with warm ups, which is actually pretty fun- it's different every time, and it ranges from stretching to running, to HIIT exercises. This lasts approximately 10-12 minutes. Next is the actual boxing! You put on your gloves, and it's time to punch the bag. If you're new, the instructor will pay a lot of attention to you. Helping you get your footwork down, teaching the correct way to punch, etc. You may feel a little lost or overwhelmed, but stick with it, and it's great fun. After the boxing ends (8 rounds, each round is three minutes long) it's onto the ab workout. I don't love this part- I'd prefer just to keep boxing- but you can leave whenever, it's not like you're chained to the bag. Overall it's a really fun experience. It's an awesome workout, and a great way to get out some stress and tension from your body! It isn't cheap- the pricing is comparable to that of a yoga studio. You're paying for specialized exercise classes, so it makes sense- I believe it's right around 60-80/month, and has health insurance reimbursement to a point. My one complaint- why no class packs? I'd be more than willing to buy a class pack, or a punchcard for a certain amount of classes- but packages are not offered, only membership. I was told that "Membership encourages a close knit group". Hmm.
