Price isn't bad. It's $7.00 a person to get in which is very reasonable for all day. We went right when it opened at noon and managed to snag two of the last lawn chairs which can be hard to come by. There is also grass if you miss out on the coveted lounge chairs. Kiddie area has the sprinklers and three smallish slides, very small lazy river, the main area has a pool and is close to the jump off fabricated cliffs, rock wall and a diving board. It was our first time visiting and arrived around 12:30. There were lifeguards who really were everywhere and VERY attentive!! People (guests) were friendly even though they were crowded. It never felt super crowded because of the three available areas for swimming or floating. All the loungers were taken, so we grabbed a picnic table and I brought my own chair. The snacks are expensive! $8 is crazy for a hot dog! The website said no outside food or drinks - except for water. I didn't give it 5 stars because of that reason. read more

LOVE! I wish I could have spent more time here this summer but for the times I made it in, it was a huge splash! The water aerobics classes are top notch, the lazy river is relaxing and the entire pool space is extremely clean. I find it totally refreshing to be outdoors and the landscaping with the beautiful flowers makes every trip worth it. I cannot wait to make more splashes next season. This is a pretty big outdoor pool. The prices are cheap, and it's a pretty busy place. I love that they have different heights for rock ledge jumping and diving boards and ziplines. You can also do lap swimming. There is food such as ice cream, pizzas. They offer lockers to lock your items in. The deepest part of the pool is 12ft. Really enjoy going to water aerobics and water walking here in the summer. Most of these classes are held when the rest of the pool is closed, so it's fairly quiet and can get a decent workout. I would not recommend coming during hot weeks or when groups are outing, it's a mad house and you end up spending half of your day in line to pay. Best toddler pool area in the twin cities! With a busy 2 year old we have been checking out nearly every splash pad/zero entry/toddler pool in the twin cities this summer. This has far and away been the best! Most pools have slides for big kids, a lap pool for adults, and a only a zero entry pool for toddlers. This pool has a HUGE zero entry pool, big water table, and 4 slides just for toddlers! The lazy river is also lazy enough for little ones. By the second time we went down the "family 4 person" slide together, my two year old was ready to do it on his own. The landing pool was even his size and he could easily right himself to swim away, something other toddler slides have been difficult for him to do the same on. The facility is really nice, lots of chairs, tables, lockers, food options for reasonable prices, and even quite expansive landscaping to top it off. Most of the reviews here complain about terrible lines, which wasn't a problem for me on a Sunday at all; actually it wasn't busy at all as you can see by my photos. Overall, the is my favorite toddler pool around! Well worth the $20 for the family. read more

Como Regional Park Pool is a great place for children and families, but not so great for young adults. It gets really crowded here during hot summer days and there's plenty of kids roaming around. The water park itself is decent, given it's price and target audience. There's some cool stuff like some water slides, ziplining and diving boards. I probably wouldn't spend a whole day here. Not that much stuff to do and can get very hectic at times. If you have a family of kids, it's a nice place for them to enjoy the day. Wouldn't recommend it to young adults though who want some fun. read more

Love the new pool. So much so that we got a family membership this year for the first time. Love that members can walk right in and not wait in line! My kids love the zip line and diving area. I only wish people couldn't save 6 chairs in the shade (and end up not sitting there all day). Plus, it seems that the parents camp out during their kids swim lessons and then all those chairs are taken when the pool opens. First there are pools - the kind where you pay through the nose, are surrounded by screaming kids, dirty walkways, sticky bathrooms, overpriced concessions, and inattentive staff. Then there are POOLS. Como pool is fantastic. It seems so new - no chipping paint, broken picnic benches, or rusty showers. The pools are impeccably maintained, and the lifeguards are on point. They were sweet to all the kids, walking around making sure everyone was alright, and gave direction at all the stations with great attitudes. There are 2 separate sections, the kids area, and the big pool with all the amenities to keep you entertained all day. The kids area had zero entry wading pool with sprinklers, stationary water guns, and large water slides into 2 feet of water. They also have a lazy river which I floated in for an hour and really enjoyed. The bigger area has a nice lap pool, climbing wall, diving board, 'cliff' jumping, and a zipline ... a ZIPLINE! That was my favorite part - it drops you into 12 feet of water and is fun for people of all ages and sizes. The pool recliners are wonderful, and the areas are not overcrowded. There are concessions, a picnic area (although you can not bring in your own food - you can eat outside and get your hand stamped), and clean bathrooms with showers. The lockers are outside, and they even have a vending machine with diapers, goggles, and the like. They also have life vests to rent for free, which I thought was a nice touch. The only weird thing about the pool is that I believe it opens up at 12pm for open swim because they have fitness classes and lap swim in the morning. I would definitely recommend this pool to my friends, the admission was $6 for an adult, and $20 per family which is really reasonable. Definitely check it out this summer! read more

After closing in 2008, the Como Regional Park Pool is finally open (summer 2012). This completely renovated aquatics facility is an amazing place. The lifeguards are very, very alert and quick to jump in the pool if they need to. The children's activity pool takes up much of the area and is perfect for any young child or infant. The downside to this pool is that, on a hot day, it will reach capacity rather quickly and you will have to wait in line to get in for a while. There is also a lack of seating when the pool is busy because most parents tend to take more chairs than they need. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the pool is well-maintained. They advertise that they use moss as a filtration system so it's more eco-friendly and safer than chemicals. They have $2 days every third Friday of the month. My plans to go biking and to have a picnic with my mom fell through so we ended up here. The lines weren't that long considering we came around 4pm but the place was crowded and chairs were hard to find. No outside food was allowed according to one of the staff members but no one else made a big deal out of it. I did see a lady with a box of cheez-its. We were lucky to find a chair so we dropped off our stuff, loaded up on sunblock, and headed toward the lazy river. We were surrounded by a lot of kids. Thanks to our Asian genes and being petite; we fit right in. My mom and I grabbed a double tube and started pushing the crazy kids out of our way and laughed uncontrollably when we went through the sprinkles. We repeated this about 10 times. The lazy river was only 400 ft. but we had a great time. We then headed over to the swimming pool where I stayed on the shallow end because I don't know how to stay afloat. We swam a little bit and watched kids zip-lined, dived, and climbed walls in the designated diving area. About 5pm, the swimming pool was only open for the water aerobics class. They didn't make a big deal when my mom joined so it's open to anyone that wanted to participate; no registration required. For an hour my mom had an intense water workout while I sunbathed. There were also a kiddie pool, a concession stand, vending machines, and lockers for rent or you can bring your own locks. I felt the ladies restroom was a bit dirty. But it did have a mini spinning machine that wrings out your wet bathing suit. Fun place to bring your family and friends and pretty cheap too. read more

OK. The facilities are very nice but it is sooooo crowded!! If you go, definitely get there before they open. I got there about 15 min. after they did and I had to wait in iine about 20 minutes. I was lucky to get the last chair on the deck and I'm sure it's because I was a single person. Anyone with friends would have been out of luck. The lazy river is nice but it is extremely short. If you are used to the rivers at places like Soak City or Cascade Bay you will probably laugh, actually. The snack bar was OK, not a great selection and the pizza is the kind you probably got in elementary school. The line is long and the service is slow. I will probably go back to Como pool, but I will get there early and try to eat beforehand! read more

It looks nice and kid friendly, but we were really disappointed when we arrived to find out open swim doesn't start till 12noon. ** So we came back at 12:30 parking lot was full, and there was a line around the front to get in, one mom told me it was going to be a 45min. just to get in. * We hope to check this pool out soon, and I will add to my experience. read more

Great overall, but minus 1 star for slow snack bar. There is 1 line that feeds into 2 windows, but it is SLOW. A lady in front of me says it's always like that. Maybe they could separate the windows for ready-made quick items and the other for cooked food. Anyway, they run a tight ship. Lots of life guards everywhere, huge kiddie pool (all ages), free lockers (BYOL), nice bathrooms, family bathrooms, can bring outside food/drink, etc. We arrived at opening time (on a wknd) and all chairs were taken in about 15 mins. Otherwise, there were a few singles, places on grass, and boulders. I'm sure weekdays are much less crowded. read more

Like over capacity limit it seemed. & the pools are not clean at all I saw multiple band-aids floating around in the pool & everywhere I swam I'd get hair stuck to me under the water which made me shiver & want to get out right away. I am a huge fan of the Como Pool, and we do go there frequently (because we live so close). However, I do not think it is run terribly well. The lines are extremely slow (even if you have a membership), the pool is often extremely crowded (too small), and the lazy river is pretty short and can get very crowded at times. Our kids love the extra stuff that you can't find elsewhere such as the climbing wall and the zipline. My biggest complaint is the rule of no outside food and drink. We go frequently and usually do not buy tons of food out, so we like to bring out own. I also expect to be able to feed my family what I want to and not be dependent on their offerings. Although they claim that this policy is "family-friendly" I find it is anything but. Anyone who has gotten 6+ (when we are with friends) kids out of the water, to the lot to get food out of the car, then to the side knows this is not a friendly policy at all. It is particularly difficult when you have a one-year-old who is hungry, when no one else is, so you have to drag everyone out. Clearly they are trying to avoid just admitting that they want to make it harder to bring food so that you are more apt to spend money at the concession stand. read more

I saw a child drowning at Como Pool this past Saturday, August 6, 2016. I've had no training in life guarding, so it took me about a minute to realize there was a problem. There was a child, approximately 4-5 years old, struggling in the deep end of the lap pool. Once I fully realized that there was a problem, I jumped in and got her. The lifeguard never saw any of it. Never saw the child struggling in the water, never saw me in my neon snot green long sleeve rash guard (how do you miss that!) jumping in and racing to get to the child, never saw me pulling her up out of the water and the child heaving and gasping. When my husband ran up to her and said something, the guard was totally apathetic and even the supervisor, upon reporting it to her, didn't seem very concerned. They didn't blow the whistle, they didn't come and check on the child and evaluate her. I guess you have to be unresponsive to have them take things seriously. When we packed up to leave, we stopped at the office to talk to the supervisor and voice our concerns about the lack of action on their part and to ask for their first names. The supervisor refused to give me their names and told me she would handle it...basically telling me to let it go. I found the entire incident to be very disturbing! read more

I took the kids I nanny for to the pool and we had a great time. The lifeguards were very attentive and responded extremely quickly to someone who needed help out of the pool. When I went to leave, I discovered that my iPhone was stolen. The staff was extremely helpful. They even let me use their computer to track down my phone which I got back a couple of hours later.
