Dropped in the other night because it was so blasted hot out. Only $6.00 after 5pm. They've added a new slide and the place is clean!Lines for waterslides move fairly quickly and the staff is friendly upon admittance and departure.

I'm just gonna say this place was awesome but I'd say a few more water slides would do

This is a good water park for families. The pricing is reasonably good for the amount of activities that is there for $11 per person.

Once inside, there is a sand play area for young kids, plenty of lounge chairs and sun shades, a nice dining area, a mini golf course and slides, slides, slides!

Our staycation getaway spot! The kids always ask to come here for spring break and Groupon usually…read morehas a good deal around that time. We get a hotel stay and 6 waterpark tickets for two days. The day we check in and the next day. The kids spend hours here, lots to do for them. The lazy river, kids area, pool area and water slides for older kids and adults. When they get bored with that they hang out in the arcade. They also have a fun magiquest option where you go around the hotel with a wand. Be prepared to spend lots of money here. They do have free swim diapers for babies though! The food is typical fast food, not that great but only option in the waterpark. Expensive but it hits the spot when the kids get hungry. Feel free to pack your own snacks and drinks if you are prepared. We usually just find some seats and set our stuff there, nothing has been stolen yet but they do have lockers available. They provide towels if you are staying at the hotel too. Hotel beds are not comfortable so you won't get much rest but after swimming all day you will be exhausted enough to be grateful for any bed. They do have a bar and other food outside of the waterpark area.

We had a fantastic time at GWL. (Due to the weather, our original plans of going to Cancun…read morechanged.) Our daughters (8 and 10) took full advantage of all of the activities. We purchased the Wolf Pack. They loved MagiQuest! I didn't really understand it but they completed the game and loved it. One night we ordered pizza and it did not disappoint. We appreciated the warmer temperature in the pools:) Kiosks, charging to the room and having our bracelet to scan for purchases and to open our room was nice. A few things that were a little disappointing... 1. The water area had several slides closed for the majority of the time. (otter slides) I know the surf attraction was closed too but that didn't affect us because that is something we would not have done anyway. 2. Your life guards were 100% SPECTACULAR and super attentive; the same goes for the staff who swept and mopped common areas. With that said, I was disappointed that the food area by the pizza place and the pool area didn't seem to have many (or any) staff cleaning or wiping things down. I brought my own wipes to clean the tables when we were on the second level eating dinner. With all the kids present, it shocked me that GWL would slack in that department. 3. And really... why is Dunkin only open until noon?! Y'all would make bank if you stayed open later. We are with our children who are on the GO. We want caffeine:) 4. We thought it was a little strange that our room was never cleaned. We were there for three nights. I had to find someone in the hall to get our recycling and garbage cans emptied. 5. A gym and hot tub would be nice. 6. The kiosks in pool area didn't show tap beer so we had to track a worker down from the back to ask him if that was an option. He said it's on the screen and we told him it wasn't. He came out from behind the counter and he couldn't find it either. He was as confused as we were. 7. $20 a night to park. That's a bit much... Staff was great! Lovie and Oscar were super helpful.

We have been here twice now, and both times my son and I had a blast !! It is super affordable,…read moreright next to the St. Paul police station- (so it feels very safe), plenty of parking, room to do different activities in separate pools, and did I mention the glizzys at the snack bar?! Only $8 for adults and kids under 2 years old are free! There is a couple mandatory 25 min breaks, but it's a good time to grab a bite to eat. The splash pad stays open if you get too hot or for it the little ones that can't sit still for very long! (Like my son lol). Come early if you want a foldable chair for sun bathing, the place fills up very quick, but there's always usually some room in the back grassy area for you to lay down a towel and cozy up with a good book. If you get hungry, run to the snack bar and they've got multiple options for hot dog toppings and even a meal deal with chips and a drink! The staff are always so kind and they also have life jacket rentals for FREE! (with admission) We will absolutely be spending more hot summer days here!

Dear Municipal Pool,…read more Thank you. I love you. See you next year. XOXO, Katherine B What is it that you want from your public pool? I want a fairly cheap entry fee and lots of seating and a decent sized pool. That's all. Highland has this, and more! Parking, shade, a decent bathroom and concessions. You can bring your own food in. Plenty of space for the little ones to play in the two small pools/splash pads. A good diving board for the bigger kids. (The drop slides aren't really drop slides per se, and they are best for shorter kids) A big water slide...that's truly only ok but who cares. A HUGE POOL. With a HUGE DEEP END. No lifejackets in the deep end, and still a large area where your tweens+ can easily touch. Bring a pool friendly throwing item. (no nerf, just light weight stuff that won't hurt if you get bonked. The lifeguards will tell you)

It isn't Great Wolf Lodge, it is a manageable size, and has all the things you need - including nachos with the terrible but delicious cheese (that is so wrong yet so right). My kids like bouncing back and forth between the pool with the slides (a walk-in kind) and the lap pool nearby that is more your traditional pool. Prices are reasonable. Playground, basketball, volleyball, yoga, exercise equipment, etc. are all offered and more. But it is the lap pool and swimming I'm writing about that is so awesome. A lightly chlorinated pool. That's right. They have a different filtration method here using sphagnum moss which significantly reduces the amount of chlorine in the water. There is nothing better then getting out of a pool and NOT smelling like a chlorine tablet. Less burning of the eyes and itching of the skin. A win all around. Plus they open @ 6:30am some days for you early morning risers and open it up from 5:30-7pm on other days (see website for schedule). Plus if you got the toddlers and young kids, there is the water park, 2 water slides, and a shallow pool to get them acclimated. Me likey.
