The 2 HUGE drawbacks for the grown ups were 1- They blast bad pop and "classic" rock music, pretty sure they do it on purpose to annoy people enough to want to leave sooner than they normally would. 2 - The food. 3 of us chose cheeseburgers and they were so dry, salty, and overcooked! Another problem was there wasn't really enough shaded spots. We got there 5 mins after they opened and we were able to find chairs but nothing in the shade. Went to Cascade Bay for water walking. It was my first time doing it and I'd for sure go back. It was a great low-impact workout. Lots of people there, but not enough to ruin the experience. For $10 it's a good after work activity. read more

so first the lifeguards are disrespectful and give you judging glares. next we went to concessions hopeing to have a better experience. the food is very overprice. we went to get cotton candy. we came out and opened the bag and turns out there was dirt in it. So we go up to the cashier and she tells us she serving us a burnt cotton candy when obviously it was dirt like it's not burnt cotton candy. It's dirt it smelled like dirt. What do you like? Awesome water parks or kids of all ages. Little kids can enjoy the 0 entrance pool & younger kids can enjoy the smaller water slides off of the broken ship! My big kids love the big water slides, diving board & deep end of the pool. The lazy river is fun for everyone! My 3 kids and I love to all grab a tube and go around the lazy river a few times together. It's sometimes hard to find a chair to relax on, but there is a grassy hill you can lay some towels on. My kids and I can easily spend 3+ hours here!!! We love it! read more

I grew up going here with my parents and now being my own children here. We have been here a couple times this summer and the bathrooms are very gross. I see other reviews say they were clean so maybe I pick the wrong days? Walking in, you can see workers grilling and making the food. Today I saw one of them with gloves on eating from his gloves and going back to the grill to cook so that was pretty gross. It is a great place but for the price I would hope for it to be a little cleaner. I also wish they had cheaper evening admittance fees like they had in the past. read more

Cascade Bay Waterpark - Water Parks Near Me - Eagan, Minnesota

It looks like they've raised their prices up from the last two reviews back in 2010. Its now $10 a person which is a descent amount still a better price than whatever the price is at Bunkerbeach plus the fact that cascade bay offers free parking, and no fee for tube rentals. After 4pm gets you in for $8. They have sell light beach food like nachos, pretzels, pizza and snacks connected to that is a mini golf course where its $2 for 9holes. Make sure if you plan to go after 4pm give them a call to see if there are any private rentals because I've had it close on me 2hours early for that which isn't any fun since they don't post it online. now go out there and chill out on the fun slides, and be lazy on the lazy river while getting your tan on! read more

Best municipal pool that I have EVER been to! Nice lockerrooms, great snack bar, really really professional and friendly staff (especially in the snack bar and at the front gate). Plenty of free parking. Once inside, there is a sand play area for young kids, plenty of lounge chairs and sun shades, a nice dining area, a mini golf course and slides, slides, slides! My all time favorite is the lazy river! I can spend HOURS just floating in a tube around the lazy river. This is a great place for the whole family to spend an entire day! read more

No coolers or outside food! We packed a lunch because we are on a budget. Well, we can get a stamp to go outside and eat on the grassy knoll. Apple Valley Aquatic Center allows food and drink. The kids wanted ice cream. So we ventured to the concession stand, it was decent. They have Red's Savoy pizza, ice cream, mini donuts, cookies and milk. The ice cream is $3 for a small cup and a bottle of pop is around $2.49, which I thought was spendy. The bathrooms were clean. The kids seemed to enjoy it for 2 hours. My husband feels there is more shade at Cascade Bay because there are more trees. Shoulda, coulda, woulda, went to Apple Valley. read more

Normally a great water park, however they let so many people in today I would imagine it's breaking rules of being over capacity. Lines everywhere, long waits, not a good summer experience. In fairness they do have a great lazy river (if you want to stand behind 25 people for a tube). read more

My son and I enjoyed this park. It's clean and they have slides and equipment for all ages. Leaving off one star because it's 50/50 on if the lifeguards are going to enforce the rules. We got cut in line three times in clear view of the staff, who ignored it. A lady standing near me even asked a staff member if they were enforcing the lines and the employee just shrugged and walked away. We had a very disappointing visit to Cascade Bay. I would NOT recommend this park, especially if your child is not able to swim without a life jacket. My son loves to go down slides, but cannot swim independently yet (and is 42" tall). We were told he could not wear his life jacket on the slides. However, the slides drop into 3 and 6 feet of water. We were not able to let him ride any slides due to his swimming ability. The staff said the life jacket rule was posted on the boards outside their facility so we would have known this, however we purchased our tickets online. After our visit, I went to search for the life jacket rule online to see how I missed it. It was listed under "things to bring" rather than under the pool rules. Also when purchasing online, it asks about height. 42" and above is one price and 42" and below is another price. If a child that is 42" and can't swim can't ride any slides anyways, they should be charged the lesser price. This facility should also make the life jacket/swimming ability rule clear during the online check out process to make the information more accessible to those who are using cell phones for purchases. We would not have gone here if the information would have been laid out better online. So disappointed, as my son was looking forward to this the most. read more

Greatest little water park! This is a small water park with everything you need for a great price! I took my 2 boys ages 8 & 11. This park has 2 large slides (1 open & 1 closed), a pool area of various depths with a pirate ship hosting 3 tunes slides from kiddie to small and a lazy river with a medium sized optional tune slide. My boys tried out all of the slides. The large red tube slide was the fastest however we spent most of our time playing in the lazy river and hoping out for an occasional slide. The lazy river is in its own area so it's easy to find each other if you get separated. We arrived at 11am when the park opened. Lines didn't start forming until after 1:30. We ate lunch there. They have a basic hamburger, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, pizza menu with ice cream. The three of us ate for ~$22. We didn't take a chair since we used a locker for our stuff. When the chairs fill up there is plenty of space on the grassy hill to lay out on a blanket or towel. Guests were there of all ages. read more

Love this place. It is only $9 for an adult, and that is for all day. You can swim, play in the sand area, go down the lazy river, go on the slides, or just get some sun. There is mini-gulf, and concessions that are yummy, or you can picnic. My kids have a blast everytime we go. read more

Dreaming of summer I decided to write a review of Cascade Bay. I wish I lived closer because this is such a nice pool. I love the lazy river and the zero depth entry to the pool so you can soak up the sun and be in the water at the same time. This year I have a season pass to Valleyfair and Soak City but I'll still probably hang out at Cascade Bay a few times, it's much more relaxing here. Side note, I had to laugh because my friend and I, in our 30s, were followed around the lazy river by a 16 year old kid who was definitely "into" us. Good times. read more

I couldn't take my eyes off my kids for 10 seconds because the Lifeguards did a lot! I felt they were slacking and/ or are poorly trained in their skills. My kids were allowed to go off the diving boards and into the deep parts of the pool where they were clearly struggling to swim. The lifeguards hardly hardly monitored them. I was very close to them the whole time because I felt i couldn't relax. I know it's not the lifeguards job to babysit but they can tell my children where they should or shouldn't play and watch the younger crowd much better... I couldn't bring outside food and beverages in unlike in the Apple Valley Family Aquatic Center and Redwood facility... I could bring in as much as I wanted at those places as long as it wasn't glass or alcoholic in content. My friends children have done swimming lessons at Cascade bay and the lifeguards who teach the children apparently are not WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certified... I'm not sure about this one, but I'll play it safe with my family and go a few miles farther to the safer Apple Valley facilities where I can also bring my own food in. read more

We arrived 30 minutes before the park opened, the line kept getting longer and longer so I am happy we got there a little earlier. The water park is nice and clean. The food prices aren't too bad, 2.75 for pizza or hot dog, the prices are on their web site. They say you can't bring food in, Well I did and no one said anything, just have to be discreet about it if you don't want to eat pizza, cheeseburgers, ice cream, cookies etc. all day. read more

Aside from limited parking and chairs make sure to note what line you are waiting in for tubes on the lazy river. I accidently waited 20 min in the wrong line and was told to go back to the end. If I were 't 9 months pregnant I wouldn't have cared. Not looking for special treatment but next time I'll go somewhere else. Kids had fun though. read more

Cascade Bay opened when I was in either elementary or middle school, and my parents got the family pass, which meant we were there every week-and it never got old. Even now, pushing 30, I still enjoy it; my boyfriend and I went recently and had a blast. It's such a great place for families to spend hot summer days in Eagan. There's a good variety of slides, ranging from short and simple to long, twisty, and fast. The Lazy River is fun and relaxing. There's a good-sized pool for swimming/splashing around. There's a little sandy area as well as a splash pad for young children. Lounge chairs fill up fast, but there's a big, grassy area between the water park and the library that is very comfortable to lie out on beach towels. My one complaint is that you can't bring in your own food (I think you used to be able to back when it opened), which means if you want to eat while you're there, you have to pay for the bland, overpriced fare at their little food court thing. Considering you're there for the water park and not for food, though, it's really a minor issue. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this place. read more

Cascade Bay either needs more chairs or a policy that doesn't allow families to take up so many chairs while they really aren't using them. I spent 4 hours sitting on concrete staring at hundreds of chairs with towels over them, but no one actually using them. I watched a veteran get yelled at by a dad for sitting in a chair that the dad had "saved" but hadn't been near in an hour. (This was opposed to the veteran leaning against a trash can like he was prior). I would have left but was with a special needs man who wouldn't have understood why I'm brought him to a water park only to leave right away. Sorry Cascade Bay that your parents aren't better at sharing but this really turned me off. You have a great park, just need better parents or more chairs. read more

I am a school bus driver who brought one of two bus loads of kids to the park. The buses had to park a few blocks away, so when I walked back to the park and told them I was a bus driver, they would not let me in without paying. Not even to use the facilities. I asked for a manager who confirmed that. I told him I wasnt going to swim also. I have been to other waterparks where this is not a problem. I hope the owner sees this post and changes this policy. read more

Once again experienced parents who seem to think they are way too entitled and find joy in yelling at lifeguards and management, but I'm starting to sum it all up as something that happens in the suburbs? Can't everyone just chill and let us enjoy our time without distracting the lifeguards by yelling at them for simply enforcing rules? Anyways, I love the slides here! The tube slide is probably the most fun of them all. I have five children and there was something for each of them to enjoy! The snack bar has a great selection of food which is really nice. My only complaints are that you cannot bring your own food (let alone a cooler) and you can't bring your own chairs, which you can at the Apple Valley water park. It's hard with five children to afford snacks and/or meals for them there every time we go, but I can easily plan around meal times. Not a big deal to me but it might be for some! read more

I am a little confused on the second comment on here just in terms of Cascade Bay does not have diving boards. Could have been a different park, perhaps? Anyways, I love Cascade Bay! The staff are super friendly and observant. Lifeguards are always on high alert and are just wonderful. The guest relations are wonderful and always have a positive attitude as well. Loved Cascade bay - the lazy river and slides were a treat. But the snack bar is atrocious. There isn't one thing fit to eat by a human - processed, greasy gross processed crap and chemical-laden candy. Disgusting. Certainly doesn't help to sustain you when you're running around in the water. And you're trapped. You'll get kicked for bringing in real food like strawberries. read more

This waterpark is amazing. I love that most of it is only four feet deep at most. They were packed today but the lines for the water slides went fairly quickly. They are also reasonably priced. I live two blocks away from my city's waterpark and I always drive out to Cascade Bay. read more
