I went to Viverant for a partially torn rotator cuff. Their therapy consisted primarily of dry needling with running current through the muscles as well as some neck "massage" and a few at-home exercises. This was both painful, and when I saw my Mayo orthopaedic sports medicine doctor, not what they had in mind. I think some of the things they did primarily related to their ability to Bill insurance for them. I didn't feel like they assisted my recovery, and in fact I felt that one session damaged my shoulder enough that I couldn't do exercises for awhile.
I tried another place, Accelerated Sports and had a better result. The approaches were certainly quite different, and I felt a little sheepish leaving a therapist, but I'm glad I did. read more
