I really wanted to like StretchLab, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. First, I specifically asked to use TrueMed for my FSA payment and was told everything had been completed successfully. Later, I found out it hadn't actually been processed correctly. That was extremely frustrating, especially since I had confirmed it upfront to avoid exactly this kind of issue. When I contacted the San Mateo team to resolve it, I felt brushed off rather than helped. There was little accountability and no real effort to correct the mistake. It felt like once they had my membership, customer service was no longer a priority. Second, I found the team to be relatively inexperienced. Some staff didn't seem fully confident in their techniques or in tailoring stretches to individual needs, which didn't inspire much trust. Between the billing confusion, mishandled TrueMed/FSA payment, dismissive customer service, and overall lack of professionalism, I can't recommend this location. I'd strongly encourage anyone considering signing up to fully understand the billing terms and payment process beforehand. I plan on using my remaining credits that I cannot get a refund for at the Burlingame location. read more

I've been coming here for several months because of a frozen shoulder. Every different technician brings a different level of experience and knowledge. I've never had a bad experience and whoever I'm with is terrific. Jordan gives a great neck and head massage. Marcus has helped me not only physically but mentally when I came in with heat exhaustion. Hailey knows how to move a women's body and gives a high level of relief. I didn't know this is what I needed until I did it. I've been walking around with pain for a while now and nothing has worked much for me including massages, acupuncture and medication. Even after the first trial session I had with Layla it felt a difference. There are just some muscles you just can't stretch yourself and they are here to help out. I was curious about Stretchlab watching it grow as a franchise however, this is a franchise that abuse a staff and undercuts the customer. It's all about the profit for the franchise owners often with little or no experience in fitness. I am a former ballerina and was excited to offer the service to my students through Stretchlab. I quickly saw that there were major laws in Oakland. Nobody seem to know who was in charge. I showed up for two interviews with nobody there and the stretch professionals left to pick up pieces that they were not supposed to be dealing with. If staff are not treated and paid properly, this is what happens greedy franchise owners, cause the structure to fall to pieces. Great concept, poorly, and improperly executed with shortcuts and potential injury to the customers. read more

Wow! StretchLab has provided me with so much more flexibility during my workouts and everyday life. The studio is spacious and very, very clean! the stretching is great - when you can get an appointment. I was talked into a package, but wasn't able to use it on nights or weekends when I am free. Canceled three months ago and am still being charged. I have called and emailed multiple tIke's. I stopped in to make sure the cancellation was processed and the young woman "left a note for the manager." I know that the manager, Alexia, has seen my messages but simply won't respond. I'm still getting messages to book an appointment, which I can't do because my account is cancelled! Make it make sense. Do not recommend. read more

I have been living with chronic back pain with stenosis and neck and arm nerve damage. the stretching has done more for me than I expected. I am able to push the stretches for a longer period of time since it is assisted. when I walk out of there I feel like a new woman! I will be bringing my 91 year old once we get her back pain under control just to keep her joints moving and feeling better! if recommend this to anyone that is in chronic pain and trying to maintain their day to day lives and being able to do the things you want to do. it take a village to control chronic pain and I'm happy I found Stretch lab. read more

This place is great. I have been going here weekly for a month now. My trainer Alphonso is very capable, careful, and considerate. If you have any sort of stiffness, lingering injuries, or losing your stretching ability, this place will be very helpful. I've been working on both my lower body and upper body stretching and can feel the difference already in terms of helping me with my fitness goals. In particular, I have a stiff right shoulder from my job as a computer person, and they were able to target the issues specifically, used theragun equivalent, and loosen it up and it's been feeling remarkably better since. read more

Several months ago my wife wanted to cancel her membership but the manager convinced her to freeze it. With no contact to let her know the freeze was coming to an end, when the freeze was up she was charged again. She never wanted to continue with membership in the first place. She contacted StretchLab and they offered to turn the cost into a gift card but not to refund the amount. This is bad business. Goodbye StretchLab. read more

I had scheduled an appointment after my introductory visit in early February (which was fine), but had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts. I cancelled well in advance of the cancellation period, though it took 3 separate calls for someone to actually cancel the appointment. The $65 charge was not refunded to my account, so I opened a dispute with my bank. Now stretch labs is trying to charge me $25 for opening a dispute, which I wouldn't have done if I was properly refunded for my cancelled appointment. I spoke with billing and was directed to speak with the location directly, but the call drops every time someone answers the phone. This has been extremely disappointing experience, especially given the great reviews I've heard about other locations. read more

I loved it! I was greeted by Alfonso and my flexologist was Jordan. I was pretty nervous because I hadn't exercised much and was very tight but left feeling really inspired, not judged and stretched out.
