When I was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year, one of the first things I did was sign up for personal training. This studio looked great and was well-reviewed, so I became a longtime client and even prepaid for a package of classes. One day the studio was very cold -- Parkinson's makes it hard for me to regulate my body temperature -- so I closed the door. I was the only client working out at the time. Moments later, a man violently slammed the door back open in my face. No explanation, no apology. I later learned he was the owner. We adore our trainer, who went above and beyond to help, even arranging a meeting with the owner to address what happened. Instead of apologizing, the owner insisted I had violated the rules. All it would have taken was, "We keep the door open here -- please leave it, and let us know if you're cold." Instead, he doubled down. I trusted this studio with my health and my money. Take yours elsewhere. read more

If you want a trainer who's equal parts coach, motivational speaker, and part-time comedian, you need Chermayne at The Fix Studio. She's been my trainer since 2023, and my health has never been better. She's Hawaiian sunshine in human form, always upbeat, which definitely helps at 7 a.m. Her happy-go-lucky energy is so constant I can't decide if she's my trainer or just a very cheerful Energizer Bunny in disguise. She's also dedicated, always learning the latest fitness research to fine-tune my workouts. She helped me get stronger, and now we're tackling weight loss. But don't think it's all serious science--sessions with her are also comedy shows. She'll get distracted, lose count of my reps (always when they're the hardest ), and then showers me with a nonstop chorus of "Good job! Good job!" until I finally give her the side-eyes . But here's the thing: even with the chaos, Chermayne knows exactly what she's doing. She motivates me, keeps me accountable, and somehow makes sweating buckets feel fun. If you want a trainer who'll push you, cheer you on, occasionally forget what number you're on, and still make every workout the highlight of your day--Chermayne's your girl. read more

As someone who has trained his whole live and is very selective with trainers, I can say with confidence that Mike is absolutely exceptional. He combines a no-nonsense approach with expert adjustments and motivation, which gave me noticeable results within weeks. Beyond the workouts, he provides extremely valuable guidance on recovery, nutrition, and overall lifestyle making each session not just training, but true personal improvement. He's also fun to be around, bringing positive energy along with his professionalism. One of the best trainers I've ever worked with. Would recommend to friends and family any day... I've been training with Kofi for just over a month now at The Fix, and the experience has been excellent. From day one, he's been attentive, supportive, and very intentional about tailoring workouts to my specific needs. What I really appreciate is how mindful he's been of my recent injuries--he designs each session to not only avoid aggravating them but to actively help strengthen the areas that need support. His approach feels both challenging and safe, which is exactly what I was looking for. Beyond the technical side, Kofi brings great energy and motivation to every session. He takes the time to explain the purpose behind each exercise, which makes me feel more confident in the process. The Fix itself is a welcoming, well-equipped space that makes training something I actually look forward to. If you're looking for a personal trainer who listens, adapts, and genuinely cares about helping you progress, I can't recommend Kofi and The Fix enough. read more

Have been going there year and half for personal training, decided to quit and go to another gym due to the fact one of the owners decided we broke too many rules on what we can and can not touch and do while getting trained, it is a not a welcoming place bc every equipment I use I need to get permission or else rules are broken at this place. We will miss our trainer Chermayne! read more

I cannot recommend working with Yolanda ENOUGH - she is incredibly thoughtful with her workouts, and she really helped me look at fitness + nutrition in a gentler way. My life has changed so much since I met Yolanda- now I know how to confidently navigate a gym, push myself in workouts without overdoing it, and find new unique ways to add movement into my daily life. Thank you so much to Yolanda for sharing her knowledge, creating a safe environment to grow, and always being so supportive in my health journey - Yolanda is amazing! read more

I have been going to The Fix to see Yolanda since early 2022 and couldn't have imagined a better personal trainer for myself! She has built up my confidence with exercise and improved my own self image with my body. I never thought exercise would be something I look forward to but I always look forward to our sessions! She takes safety and form seriously and if something isn't feeling right that day she is quick to adapt to something that feels better. During my time with Yolanda I have gone through pregnancy and c-section recovery and she has been phenomenal at supporting through both. She researched and adapted exercises to tailor them to my specific symptoms and changes in ability. At 8 months postpartum, I have felt back to normal for several months and I know that is because of Yolanda's care in helping me slowly strengthen my core and the rest of my body. She is also very flexible schedule wise and will do her best to reschedule rather than skip sessions if I can't make one for whatever reason. The Fix itself is a great place as well - small but has plenty of different equipment, easy parking, clean, and the vibes are friendly and chill. All the trainers there seem knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly, but I will never stop seeing Yolanda :) read more

I've been training intermittently at The Fix for years, and have always loved the feel of the gym - it is small, clean and professional. The owners and trainers are welcoming, which makes me feel comfortable and part of a community. There is no judgement or pressure, just a respect for health and effort. I've been more consistent with training for the last two years, thanks in large part to a trainer that I was well-matched with: Chermayne. She has both the knowledge and commitment of a trainer tasked to keep me motivated and healthy, while being friendly and so fun! I look forward to all of our workouts, and it has changed my mindset about exercising in the most positive way! Her workouts are well thought out, organized, and challenging. I love walking out of the gym knowing that I'll feel it the next day: muscles sore with that steady work that really adds up. Chermayne can tailor to what you need and you'll feel confident and proud, with her as a fitness partner. read more

I trained with Yolanda for almost 4 years and can honestly say she changed my life for the better in every way possible and I am forever grateful to her. I was already focused on health and wellness when Yolanda became my coach. She met me where I was at, became my sounding board for all things health related, and worked with me over the years to dial in every aspect of my fitness, diet and bio-markers. Getting strong, losing weight, getting my bio-markers in check, and just becoming happier overall were all part of the journey. What I value the most about Yolanda was her vested interest in my overall health (not just fitness) and through encouragement and guidance she helped me to achieve, and even surpass, my goals. I am the healthiest and happiest I've ever been, armed with many good habits that I will carry forward with me into the future, and I attribute this in a very large part to Yolanda. She changed my life, as she has with many of her clients, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. read more

I really wanted to make a push to improve my fitness so I decided to look into a personal trainer. I had an intro call and was recommended Mike. It has been a pleasure training with Mike the past few months! He gives a perfect blend of encouragement to push me past what I think I can do while also listening to me and my body concerns. I'm working through a small hand injury and his knowledge allows us to workaround it while still getting a great exercise session in. He's also just fun to be around with a super positive attitude. Would recommend to anyone looking for a personal trainer that will push you to meet your fitness goals! read more

I've been training with Mike for a while and I can't recommend him enough. He's knowledgeable, motivating, and truly cares about his clients' progress. The Fix is a great training space & studio. I worked with Yolanda Marquez, who is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic & supportive. We scheduled time when the gym was pretty quiet, and it was a great environment. Equipment is comprehensive and kept clean and organized, and the trainers all seemed very competent. I purchased a 10-pack of sessions with Yolanda and it was a great investment - I not only increased my comfort with strength training, it increased my strength! Yolanda was very supportive and would adjust my workout intensity based on how was I feeling. I highly recommend both the studio & Yolanda! read more

My personal trainer Yolanda Marquez at the Fix studio is exceptional! I was feeling weak and out of shape when I started with her in 2024 and after 8 months of training with her, I felt like a new person! She always gave me exercises and adjusted our workout on the areas that I would like to focus on. She was amazingly supportive and patient with me . Even though I have been suffering from sciatica nerve pain for years now, she was able to train me successfully around my health limitations and transform me into being strong and energetic again. I always looked forward to our workouts since time would fly by carrying pleasant conversations. I could not recommend enough Yolanda!!! read more

I couldn't have been paired up more perfectly than with Kofi! He is knowledgeable, engaging, and everything you can ask for in a trainer. He understands and works with your strengths and weaknesses and pushes you to be a better version of you (even if it takes forever on my part haha). He listens and executes according to your goals and is realistic with the outcomes. He encourages you even if he knows you're slacking and is your accountability partner. If you want a chill, personable, patient, and talented coach, then Kofi is the guy for you! If only I could win the Powerball lotto to be able to have him train me forever haha. Props to you Kofi and keep doing what you do! read more

This review is for Camille! She is an amazing and professional trainer. She pushes me to my max and I can see the growth and my body starting to lean out in the 6 months we've been working together. What I like the most is that she works from data, and doesn't guess what my lifting weights are but actually tracks it and pushes me and shows me the amount I've increased. At times when I went in not feeling 100% with an injury she was able to adjust my workout and still address my injury at the same time. Nutrition is also a biggie for me and she is able to point me in the right direction break through my existing believe systems and keep me consistent with my eating. I'm from an old school mindset of eating less is better, but she works through that and is starting to create new believe systems on fueling my body to get more. I would highly recommend her. She is a true professional! read more

Yolanda is the absolute best! I first trained with her when I moved to SF, and I loved her so much that when I came back after living in New York, she was the first person I called--especially to get ready for my wedding. She's funny, chill, and motivating in the perfect way--she pushes me when I need it, but also knows when to let me rest. Couldn't recommend her more! read more

All of the trainers are super friendly. The gym equipment new, kept in great repair, routinely cleaned by the trainers after every use. I have been working out here with Yolanda for the last 2 years. Yolanda helps keep me on my weight loss and strength training goals by taking an active role in reviewing my macronutrients in my diet and giving me home workout routines on my days between sessions at The Fix. In the first 6 months, I was able to lose 30 lbs, and since then I have been working on building muscle. read more

I started strength training at The Fix about 6 months ago per recommendation of my boxing trainer. At The Fix, you work with a trainer and have a dedicated station (I.e. Squat rack and machines) during your scheduled workout. After my first call with one of the owners, he assigned me to Brandon Fahrer. I highly recommended Brandon and have had a blast training with him! He's a great accountability partner and knows how to motivate people of all fitness levels. He can help with mobility like a PT and diet and nutrition in addition to strength training. Whenever I train with Brandon, I feel safer knowing that I can push myself to hit a PR without getting injured because he focuses on technique and steady progression. I've made so much progress thanks to training with Brandon the last 6 months! I started at squat 95lb 5x3, bench 65lb 5x5, deadlift 95lb 5x3, RDL 65lb 10x3. Now I'm at squat 135lb, bench 90lb, deadlift 165lb, RDL 125lb - so 1.5-2x all my PRs. Up until now I've been pretty athletic having played basketball and done martial arts my whole life, but strength training (and a higher protein diet) helped me reach a new level of fitness for the first time to keep off body fat. I've become more tone and energetic throughout the day. Hard to go back to a regular gym after training at The Fix. read more

This review is for Camille, whom I've worked with for almost two years now. I've worked with a few personal trainers over the years, and Camille is undoubtedly the best one and the one I've stuck with for the longest time. I originally started working with her because of a tendonitis issue and lower back pain, which she helped me recover from with a very thorough rehabilitative exercise program. During and after that phase we continued building my strength through the classic compound exercises (squats, deadlifts, bench presses) plus many accessory exercises. Most recently, we targeted my body composition. Camille has been the only trainer to give me a nutrition plan to achieve weight loss; other trainers had given me generic advice like "don't eat carbs" or "make sure your diet is on track." Camille's plan had concrete macro numbers and it has worked miracles in that I am literally the leanest I have ever been in my adult life. This has given me a huge confidence boost which I take into my daily life. I am grateful for her accompanying me on this journey of lifelong fitness, providing me incredible knowledge and support. I doubt I would have gotten here on my own. As far as our training sessions go, Camille is patient and explains exercises in a clear way. I am not athletically-oriented by nature, but she guides me through new movements and exercises until I've become comfortable and can do them independently. Also, she strikes the right balance between pushing me and being mindful of my current state when my energy levels are low, as I typically work out with her in the evenings after a long day at work. Finally, she's very flexible as to what I want to work on for our sessions together. There have even been times when my lower back was in pain, and she would help me recover with breathing or other back-specific exercises, instead of the workout she might have had in mind prior to the session. Outside of our sessions she makes herself available through email and text. She's always telling me to send her a text or video of a workout if I'm ever unsure of my form. We use an app in which I log my workouts and where she programs workouts for me throughout the week when I work out on my own. I find it very helpful in tracking my progress and having a plan when I get to the gym. All in all it's been a great experience working with Camille, and I highly recommend her as a personal trainer. read more

I've been training with Don Donnelly at the Fix for the past two years, and he's gotten me into the best shape of my life. With his coaching and programming, my strength has dramatically increased: I spent several years in a plateau training alone, but since working with Don, I've been able to hit new PR's on nearly all my lifts. I really enjoy his no-BS training style: he's supportive but keeps you accountable, and will push you to become the best version of yourself. I also appreciate his expertise and attention to detail when it comes to improving form and rehabbing injuries. I look forward to every session, and always leave feeling stronger and more confident. The Fix is a nice, clean facility with tons of great equipment and space to put in work. Everyone there is always friendly, and it's generally a non-intimidating, welcoming environment. read more

This is a review of the Personal Trainer, Danielle, at The Fix - Personal Training Studio. I've been working with Danielle twice a week for over half a year now, and am thrilled with my results! Danielle creates custom workouts for me, tailored to my specific fitness goals. The workouts are fun, appropriately challenging and leave me feeling empowered and confident. Before working with Danielle, I incorrectly believed there was "no gain without pain," and in order to see the fitness results I wanted, I would have to endure soreness and fatigue. Not so! I leave my workouts with Danielle feeling enervated, and ready for more. Which makes exercising a rewarding and sustainable activity that fits into my lifestyle. And not only does Danielle design awesome workouts. She uses her expert skill set to help me rehab old injuries as well as treat muscle knots I sometimes develop from working at a desk job. Danielle, thank you for being excellent at what you do so I can live my fitness goals with all of the benefits and none of the pain. read more

I've been working with Connor for the last 2 years. His education and experience level on training and mobility is above and beyond. I am able to move through my compound exercises pain free. Prioritizing mobility has made my training so much more effective and I'm so glad I found him. I meet with him in person and sometimes even virtually! The option of training virtually has allowed me to get my workout done on my work breaks and more times during the week. By increasing my frequency I have been able to establish good training habits and consistency. He is very patient and has a great personality.
