When I was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year, one of the first things I did was sign up for personal training. This studio looked great and was well-reviewed, so I became a longtime client and even prepaid for a package of classes. One day the studio was very cold -- Parkinson's makes it hard for me to regulate my body temperature -- so I closed the door. I was the only client working out at the time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Moments later, a man violently slammed the door back open in my face. No explanation, no apology. She takes safety and form seriously and if something isn't feeling right that day she is quick to adapt to something that feels better. During my time with Yolanda I have gone through pregnancy and c-section recovery and she has been phenomenal at supporting through both. She researched and adapted exercises to tailor them to my specific symptoms and changes in ability. This review is for Camille! She is an amazing and professional trainer. She pushes me to my max and I can see the growth and my body starting to lean out in the 6 months we've been working together. What I like the most is that she works from data, and doesn't guess what my lifting weights are but actually tracks it and pushes me and shows me the amount I've increased. At times when I went in not feeling 100% with an injury she was able to adjust my workout and still address my injury at the same time. Nutrition is also a biggie for me and she is able to point me in the right direction break through my existing believe systems and keep me consistent with my eating. I'm from an old school mindset of eating less is better, but she works through that and is starting to create new believe systems on fueling my body to get more. I would highly recommend her. I started strength training at The Fix about 6 months ago per recommendation of my boxing trainer. At The Fix, you work with a trainer and have a dedicated station (I.e. Squat rack and machines) during your scheduled workout. After my first call with one of the owners, he assigned me to Brandon Fahrer. I highly recommended Brandon and have had a blast training with him! He's a great accountability partner and knows how to motivate people of all fitness levels. He can help with mobility like a PT and diet and nutrition in addition to strength training. Whenever I train with Brandon, I feel safer knowing that I can push myself to hit a PR without getting injured because he focuses on technique and steady progression. I've made so much progress thanks to training with Brandon the last 6 months! I started at squat 95lb 5x3, bench 65lb 5x5, deadlift 95lb 5x3, RDL 65lb 10x3. Now I'm at squat 135lb, bench 90lb, deadlift 165lb, RDL 125lb - so 1.5-2x all my PRs. Up until now I've been pretty athletic having played basketball and done martial arts my whole life, but strength training (and a higher protein diet) helped me reach a new level of fitness for the first time to keep off body fat. I've become more tone and energetic throughout the day. Hard to go back to a regular gym after training at The Fix. read more

This review is for Camille, whom I've worked with for almost two years now. I've worked with a few personal trainers over the years, and Camille is undoubtedly the best one and the one I've stuck with for the longest time. I originally started working with her because of a tendonitis issue and lower back pain, which she helped me recover from with a very thorough rehabilitative exercise program. During and after that phase we continued building my strength through the classic compound exercises (squats, deadlifts, bench presses) plus many accessory exercises. Most recently, we targeted my body composition. Camille has been the only trainer to give me a nutrition plan to achieve weight loss; other trainers had given me generic advice like "don't eat carbs" or "make sure your diet is on track." Camille's plan had concrete macro numbers and it has worked miracles in that I am literally the leanest I have ever been in my adult life. This has given me a huge confidence boost which I take into my daily life. I am grateful for her accompanying me on this journey of lifelong fitness, providing me incredible knowledge and support. I doubt I would have gotten here on my own. As far as our training sessions go, Camille is patient and explains exercises in a clear way. I am not athletically-oriented by nature, but she guides me through new movements and exercises until I've become comfortable and can do them independently. Also, she strikes the right balance between pushing me and being mindful of my current state when my energy levels are low, as I typically work out with her in the evenings after a long day at work. Finally, she's very flexible as to what I want to work on for our sessions together. There have even been times when my lower back was in pain, and she would help me recover with breathing or other back-specific exercises, instead of the workout she might have had in mind prior to the session. Outside of our sessions she makes herself available through email and text. She's always telling me to send her a text or video of a workout if I'm ever unsure of my form. We use an app in which I log my workouts and where she programs workouts for me throughout the week when I work out on my own. I find it very helpful in tracking my progress and having a plan when I get to the gym. All in all it's been a great experience working with Camille, and I highly recommend her as a personal trainer. read more

I've been training with Don Donnelly at the Fix for the past two years, and he's gotten me into the best shape of my life. With his coaching and programming, my strength has dramatically increased: I spent several years in a plateau training alone, but since working with Don, I've been able to hit new PR's on nearly all my lifts. I really enjoy his no-BS training style: he's supportive but keeps you accountable, and will push you to become the best version of yourself. Danielle creates custom workouts for me, tailored to my specific fitness goals. The workouts are fun, appropriately challenging and leave me feeling empowered and confident. I've been working with Connor for the last 2 years. His education and experience level on training and mobility is above and beyond. I am able to move through my compound exercises pain free. Prioritizing mobility has made my training so much more effective and I'm so glad I found him. I meet with him in person and sometimes even virtually! The option of training virtually has allowed me to get my workout done on my work breaks and more times during the week. By increasing my frequency I have been able to establish good training habits and consistency. He is very patient and has a great personality.
