TLDR my knees don't hurt anymore and Ika is the best :) Never been a gym-goer in my life, but I'd always been bothered by my bad posture, low energy, and general lack of strength. I struggled with motivation, was intimidated by gym machines, and health just wasn't a priority, until I started getting persistent knee pain that finally alarmed me enough to start looking around. I came across Morph Fitness by coincidence and I'm glad I did! I had my first consultation session with Wayne -- we talked through my journey, concerns, and he helped me set realistic expectations and intentions for what was ahead. That conversation was important, and I genuinely appreciated it. Then I was paired with Ika -- the sweetest and most warm and supportive person, who's also incredibly knowledgeable (in multiple languages too!) I've always struggled with coordination and body awareness, and Ika was so patient and encouraging. She helped me connect with my body, made sure I was moving safely and effectively, and always kept me motivated without ever making me feel overwhelmed (but still sent me home sore for days) She also 100% knows how to train you to look your best! Since starting I've felt stronger -- physically and mentally -- more energized, and more present in my day to day. I look forward to another session most days, and on those days I don't (because life happens), I've never regretted showing up and always end up leaving with more energy and good vibes thanks to Ika

While I've always enjoyed casual exercise I've never followed an actual strength training routine, and after developing a nagging pain in my hip that flared up after every hike, I decided it was time to finally get some professional help in building a stronger body. I had previously done 6 weeks of personal training at another business but didn't feel connected to my coach and didn't feel motivated to keep training after our time ended. But with this new hip pain I decided to give personal training another shot, and that's when I found Morph Fitness. The vibes and energy at Morph are awesome. I always enjoy walking in and saying hi to folks and seeing all the coaches giving their clients their full attention. I often see teams hanging out after a session chatting and laughing. You can really tell everyone there is super passionate about helping their clients reach their goals, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. One example: I came in for a session on Halloween, wearing a skeleton onesie, and was so happy to see that both Wayne and Ika dressed up too - and they were excited to see me dressed up as well. So fun! My coach, Dimíçeus, is the BEST. I cannot recommend him enough. He brings great energy to each session which keeps me in high spirits through even the toughest workouts. He'll ask me how I'm feeling that day and take things a little easier if I had a terrible night's sleep, or push me further if I'm feeling refreshed. He also immediately modifies exercises if there's something I can't do or a particular body part starts hurting mid workout. There's an in-house scale that measures a bunch of different stats that I use prior to each session, and he'll review my progress with me and give me long-term workout and nutrition guidance based on what my goals are. My post-hike hip pain has significantly improved, as well as my posture and tech neck. And after losing 7% body fat (almost 15lbs) in 3 months and seeing and feeling my body get stronger, I think the results speak for themselves and prove he knows what he's doing. After loving my experience these last 3 months I re-upped another 100 sessions which should see me through my goal of climbing Half Dome by my birthday, and I cannot be not excited or grateful. I'm embarrassed to admit how many gym memberships I've purchased over the years. I'd maybe show up once a month (and that's being generous) before guilt would set in about the wasted money. I even tried OrangeTheory, thinking group fitness might motivate me, but I just felt anxious throughout the sessions and worried about getting injured. Then I saw what my friend was doing with partner training at Morph and was like... okay, maybe this could actually work for me? I was ready to try living healthier, so I figured why not give it a shot. My trainer has been incredible - he genuinely monitors my progress each session and adjusts workouts based on how I'm feeling that day. He develops customized training plans and logs everything in their app so I can reference it anytime. When I injured my back from something completely unrelated to exercise, he guided me through recovery techniques. His nutrition guidance is also practical and realistic. I'm definitely sleeping better now and can lift way more than when I started. But honestly, the best part is just feeling happier overall. After years of starting and stopping and feeling like a fitness failure, I finally found something that clicks. Seriously worth every penny.

I was really on the fence about if I wanted to do personal training since I always considered myself someone who knew how to be "healthy", but I had a friend who had amazing results with Wayne so I decided to pull the trigger and I'm so happy I did! I started training with Wayne in September and it was the first New Year where losing weight/getting stronger wasn't an unachieved goal! Wayne really helped identify a handful of things that made the biggest differences in my weight loss/training and now I feel like I have a sustainable method for the rest of my life! My results were great (hello first pull-up!) and Wayne was the most supportive trainer the entire way through :) Can't recommend it enough!

My friend and I have been training with Marcellis at Morph Fitness for about four months, and we've really enjoyed the sessions. He's one of those coaches who takes training seriously but also makes the process approachable. Every workout feels intentional -- he explains the purpose behind each movement and adjusts things based on how we're doing that day. We've both seen real results: I've lost around 20 lbs since improving my fitness habits, and my friend's posture and strength have improved a lot too. What stands out most about Marcellis is his consistency, patience, and the way he genuinely wants his clients to improve. He's a great trainer who brings both structure and encouragement to every session.

This was my first time working with a professional trainer, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found Morph Fitness. Before joining, I had no gym experience at all--my only form of exercise was climbing, and I had been stuck at the V4-V5 level for quite a while. With a last-minute goal of preparing for a photoshoot in just one month, I came to Ika at Morph Fitness with a challenging request: I wanted to lose fat, gain muscle, and reshape my body--all without feeling overly restricted or compromising my health. I also wanted to improve my strength for climbing. In short, I wanted to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, in 30 days. It felt like an impossible goal to tackle alone, so I followed a friend's recommendation and signed up for private training with Ika. And honestly--she is the BEST. From day one, she was incredibly supportive and encouraging, despite the complexity of my goals. At the start, my body fat percentage was 25%, and my muscle mass was 53.0 lbs. Ika created a personalized nutrition plan, tracked my daily intake, and kept me accountable--especially when I overate. In just 30 days (yes 30 DAYS), my body fat dropped to 18.5%, and my muscle mass increased to 56.4 lbs. The entire training process was not only physically effective but also mentally healthy. I developed lasting habits--like exercising daily (30 minutes to an hour), drinking more water, and cutting back on milk tea and fried foods--all thanks to Ika's guidance. Still, also thanks to me -- I followed all her suggestions and finished all homework she planned for me, afterall, exercise and training takes not only the trainer, but also yourself :) I also learned so much about muscle groups and proper training techniques. I had an old climbing-related injury in my left elbow, and Ika thoughtfully designed exercises to improve flexibility and aid recovery in that area. Most impressively, Ika went above and beyond her formal responsibilities. Knowing that I'm a regular climber, she even joined me at the climbing gym several times to better understand the sport and tailor my training. With her help, I've now climbed two V7s and five V6s (even if they were soft grades, I'm genuinely thrilled with the progress!). Working with Ika at Morph Fitness has been transformative--not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. With her support and expertise, I've become stronger, healthier, and more positive every day. Thank you, Morph Fitness--you truly are the best!

Before joining Morph Fitness, I felt stuck and unmotivated. I was constantly tired, both physically and mentally. I was frustrated with my lack of progress and unsure of what my body was even capable of. What pushed me to finally join was a mix of wanting real change and recommendations from people who had trained with Ika. Working with Ika has been one of the most empowering experiences of my life. She's supportive, consistent, and incredibly thoughtful in her coaching. She doesn't just care about physical results--she listens, she encourages, and she makes you feel seen. Since starting, I've definitely become stronger and more fit, but the biggest changes have been internal. I feel more confident, more capable, and more grounded. I've learned how to trust myself and how to be patient with my progress. It's not just about the workouts--it's about the mindset Ika has helped me build. I'm sure coaches are constantly being tugged at, but I don't feel like my questions were stupid or out of line, especially for a newbie. After about 6 weeks, I decided I didn't feel comfortable proceeding with a person who didn't welcome my communication.

She's Hawaiian sunshine in human form, always upbeat, which definitely helps at 7 a.m. Her happy-go-lucky energy is so constant I can't decide if she's my trainer or just a very cheerful Energizer Bunny in disguise. She's also dedicated, always learning the latest fitness research to fine-tune my workouts. She helped me get stronger, and now we're tackling weight loss. But don't think it's all serious science--sessions with her are also comedy shows. She'll get distracted, lose count of my reps (always when they're the hardest ), and then showers me with a nonstop chorus of "Good job! Good job!" until I finally give her the side-eyes . Coupled with the physical and mental implications of the pandemic, my health was at an absolute low. Cue Charles. Charles is a very observant and knowledgeable person. Never having experienced personal training, his ability to pinpoint various weaknesses in my positioning and movement and then subsequently correcting them was like magic to me. His simplified explanations also made following his regimen incredibly easy to adapt to. He knows when to push the limits and when to bunker down to make sure something is being done correctly to avoid injury. Through his careful observation and guidance, he was able to recognize and develop my latent strength (which I didn't even know I had), and it culminated in that four plate deadlift! Another boon I hadn't expected when I started working with Charles is the ability to have a conversation with him about health fads and myths. For example, I had my doubts about the diet of salmon, meat, potatoes, eggs, and bread he had recommended to me since my own research spoke highly of chicken, but the result speaks for itself. Adhering to his diet, I have exceeded my original weight loss goal of 60 lbs., and based on the fitness app he has me use, my muscle mass, skeletal muscle, and protein levels (amongst other things) have had a steady positive trend while my cholesterol and glucose levels, based on a recent physical, have had a negative trend! I know that the success in my nascent fitness journey is my own, but I recognize that my progress is heavily influenced by Charles and his supportive expertise. I am a genuinely happier, more motivated, and more confident person these days. I look forward to my continued training sessions. I can't help but think about what I can achieve in the future, especially when the results I have now are only the result of six months!
