Loved my stretch experience. Felt nimble and refreshed after! I didn't realize a quick stretch could be so relaxing! Will be back

The cons: the manager at the la grange location specifically has been discussed here before and I'd agree she definitely needs to be retrained in people service skills. I understand that the rules are important and that you can only switch to a different class the same day but I could not always do that with my schedule and family life and I bit the bullet and paid the extra fee quite a few times without any complaining or pushback bc I understand the rules. However, the manager likes to make people feel like they've done something quite wrong even if they pay the fee and cancel later than 12 hours beforehand. The attitude is what made me cancel my membership at OT LA GRANGE! I love OT and I'll be joining elsewhere but the manager was condescending and had no people skills instead couldn't t read the room or situation even at the holidays. She sometimes she acted more like a parent scolding you than a customer service manager...if you needed to reschedule class the attitude would pop up and she has no pocket face. She scolded me about other things as well over the months... for example while I was cooling down after class one day (and the trainer told us to stay in as long as we like), I took that to mean I could cool down from my run for a very quick 3 minute slow walk. Well, she suddenly turned off my treadmill and everyone else's before everyone had gotten off! She seemed to do this quite often in the evening near the end of the class even if there were no class behind us. One day during open gym She saw me pulling out my phone to check my heart rate and progress bc the screen heart rates weren't showing up in gym. I was only one of three people in the gym yet she lectures me and tells me to put my phone away. I complied but I tried to explain I was checking my heart rate bc it helps me. She just continued with this hardline speech about how it's disturbing others to have your phone out and it's a rule to keep everyone focused on their workout.... Hmm ironic. I said well then can we get the heart rates put up in the above monitor? She said no we don't display them usually during open gym..... ugh. Well now they do I guess. My luck. Another time I came in and was stretching at the end of my workout- it was right after the noon class and Mark told me I could stretch. The manager, same person, turns off the lights in the main workout area from somewhere over in front bc I didn't see her but- hmmm not very welcoming. Not to mention the penial code for canceling a class even if you request just to switch to a later the same day is always a big deal and even if you pay for the top unlimited memebership, you still can accumulate dozens of 12$ up charges over most months if you have a busy schedule... Who can afford 149$ per month plus 12$ fees every time my work needs me late or a kid gets sick? That stress for a workout? Nope. I decided even though I love OT classes and trainers, I'm done with La Grange. Hope the next OT will have better loyalty and better reasonable rules to keep everyone able to manage the cost while still getting strong. I'll go further to get what is appropriate. Thanks for listening

I personally loved coming to yoga, enjoyed every class and interaction I've had. The reason for the…read more1 star review is due to their policy which I suggest the company rethink. I just found out 2 weeks ago I am pregnant, I am physically ill when I tried doing classes and decided it would be best to cancel my membership, I spoke to customer support which told me due to their policy I would still be charged for the next month since I did not cancel on time. I am physically not able to power through a class and was not offered a resolution, account credit does not work since I won't be able to come in any time soon and who knows after pregnancy if I will have time the first year. No compassion for human life. I'll make sure to highly discourage friends and family to obtain a membership at a place that will not care for their students, and look elsewhere for a yoga membership. This interaction felt like a total scam and at this point I am coming to terms that I just gave Core power 150 dollars just for the fun of it since I am not able to come in for the classes any more.

Now imagine practicing yoga in a place that has a city feel in the middle of the suburbs. That's Core Power LaGrange in a nutshell. No drugs, dirt, or stank :) This is such a cool studio. Its located on the 2nd floor of the building at the corner of Lagrange Rd and Burlington Ave, right next to the Metra. Parking is available for students only behind the building off Burlington. There are two rooms- one for really hot stuff, and the other for warm yoga. Each room has a cool view out onto downtown LaGrange. The rooms are really large and never feel crowded. Teachers are the same as all other locations, so the yoga itself is always uniform (and fun). The guys locker room is good sized- at least I never feel like I'm tripping over people, and they are nicely stocked with grooming stuff. Overall another awesome CorePower location. Definitely one of the more unique ones, and the location is perfect.

They even had a few sale racks with 30-50% off. Luckily I was able to fight the urge this time, but I may be tempted to buy something when I go back. This class was great for beginners in my opinion. I gave it 4 stars only because I like a bit more direction in my Pilates class, and although Jill was amazing and sweet, I love when an instructor is kind and encouraging but also provides corrections. I am also a fan of music during my workout classes but if you like more peace and quiet, Jill's class will be up your alley. Despite those two minor things, I am still very interested in going back!

Since consistently taking classes, I feel stronger than I have in years. The method has given me back a level of mobility I thought was lost for good. The best part? I can now get down on the floor to play with my grandson and get back up with ease and without any aches. It's a freedom I didn't realize I was missing. This isn't just about fitness; it's about quality of life. I genuinely feel 10 to 15 years younger. The instructors are fantastic at providing modifications and ensuring proper form. If you're a woman over 50 wondering if this is for you, the answer is a resounding YES.
