While I would prefer later hours in the evening, that's a small criticism relative to the high quality and value I get here. Within the last couple of weeks I have been harassed by the LaGrange Manager (I think her name is Kristen) telling me that I can no longer keep my account on freeze status, and that I must pay $69 for my final month's membership. I was charged $69 in May 2022, while my account was on freeze status, but was denied a refund. Therefore, I asked the manager to use this $69 charge to apply towards their final month's fee. I was told NO. I was told I could use the sessions, but not the fee. I explained that I am still injured and unable to use the sessions, and that I have been out of work for 2 years, but not consideration on their part. Payment is required, no matter what. I have since contacted the BBB, as well as the Corporate Office in Boca Raton. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service and lack of compassion.

This atmosphere, which has been cultivated by owners, staff, and area patrons, is difficult to replicate in a big-box, chain gym. Aside from the overall vibe, I like that the people at Elite are upfront with regard to their pricing. There are no guessing games. Their rates are listed on their Web site. They also offer a ten punch card so you can try out the gym before you make a commitment. Those who workout at Elite seem to be connected members of the local community. I find that the clientele is friendly, respectful, and fitness-focused. Lastly, the gym is located in a very cute area of Western Springs. There are several local businesses nearby that you can visit before or after a workout. It's also important to note that parking has never been an issue for me at Elite.

It was luke warm at best and cool in other parts. Also, I didn't see a bathing suit dryer, that spins the excess water off. You also need to bring your own hair dryer. I look forward to making it out to a class and trying out the equipment in the future at this or at another location. 3 stars for clean and with potential.

I was a little nervous at first,…read morebut the second I walked into the gym Dion and Kristin made me feel like I have been there since day one. They explained everything to me from where I come in at, what time I should be there before each class, what to expect from each class and how they are structured. (Jeff is another exceptional trainer!) Everything inside is clean and looks nice. The equipment is wiped down after each class by one of the trainers. They also provide a free sweat towel. (Which you will definitely need!) Each class has an awesome name, MVP, Panthers, West Hollywood, Monte Blanc, Foxtrot, Angry Birds, etc etc. 45 minutes. And thats all you need! Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays are more cardio based. Tuesday and Thursdays are more strength training and Saturdays are a mix of strength and cardio. They show you each workout before class starts, but it's also up on the TV incase you forget. You start with a warm up and you end with a cool down and stretch. (Which I love because most places don't take the time for this and it's just as important as the workout itself) The trainers are phenomenal and experienced. Dion filled up my water bottle for me in the middle of an exercise because she saw it was empty. She hands out sweat towels when she sees you need one. Her and Kristin encourage you when they can tell you are struggling. "Don't give up!" "10 seconds left!" "You got 1 more rep!" And every exercise can be modified if needed. (They will show you how) Challenging! This place will push you and motivate you. The other members are nice and everyone says good job at the end and high fives. I definitely recommend it and I'm excited there will be another location opening up in Oakbrook.
