Marlon and Shirley are positive and passionate instructors who truly care about seeing clients succeed in their fitness journey and/or maintain their fitness goals! Shirley was very accommodating and instantly made us feel welcome, making sure that we were comfortable adjusting our bikes. I loved the variety of speed, resistance, climbs, and time spent in/out of the saddle during our 45-minute class. I also really enjoyed using the PolarBeat fitness trackers to see our performance and seeing the stats at the end of class. Shirley's passion for spinning is contagious and I truly enjoyed every minute of her class! From the moment you walk in, the experience is disappointing. There are often two or three…read moreemployees at the front desk, no one greets you. The managers are frequently present as well and are equally uninterested in acknowledging members. The condition of the facility has noticeably declined. On weekends, there is often feces left in the men's restrooms and vomit in the locker room sinks. Many of the sanitizing wipe stations are empty. Members walk around or work out shirtless without any apparent enforcement of gym policies. Some individuals pour excessive amounts of oils onto the sauna rocks, creating an unpleasant environment for others. It is also common to encounter people playing loud music from personal speakers, disrupting everyone around them. The most frustrating part is the apparent lack of management involvement. These issues are not new, yet they continue without correction. The gym feels poorly supervised, poorly maintained, and increasingly neglected. Members deserve a clean, sanitary, respectful, and professionally managed environment. Unfortunately, this location is falling far short of those expectations. So, whose fault is it? Partly, it is the fault of the members who continue to accept these substandard and deplorable conditions without speaking up. When people tolerate unsanitary restrooms, empty sanitizing wipe stations, disruptive behavior, and a lack of rule enforcement, management has little incentive to make improvements. However, the greater responsibility falls on LA Fitness management. Members pay for a clean, safe, and professionally managed facility. When basic standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and member conduct are repeatedly ignored, it reflects a failure of leadership and accountability. The question is not whether these problems exist--they do. The question is why management continues to allow them to persist.

It's clean, has lots of cardio equipment, strength equipment and great classes. I've taken 2 HIIT classes so far and they were well taught and targeted the entire body. I was so sore after them but it's exactly what I was hoping for. In addition to the equipment, there's also a running track, a basketball gym and a sauna. Right next door there is also a cafe. I haven't tried anything there but it looks nice. For the most part parking is easy to find, either on the street in front of the lot just east of the facility. One of the best aspects of the gym is the value. For my husband and I, it's only $25/mo for autopay. We love working out at LCFC!!

Brand new facility (nestled behind the BEST BUY and Kohl's). At first you may miss this location…read moresince is is directly across Michael's Crafts. Oh yes this is the location that I have been waiting for. I am hammered by the ease of joining and the fact that it is on a month by month basis, of course you do have to give them a month notice if that's the case. I like the fact that is is a 24 hour, 7 day a week, 365 day a year open facility. Yes, the workers have informed me that even on Christmas they stay open. This location (as well as others) have a sauna (*more like a tiny 4 wo/man fish tank display in the restroom), Four Showers, a first floor (bulking up area) with Tanning facility (2 tanning booths to be exact). For the person who really doesn't want to walk up the stairs, they do have an elevator (personally this takes away from the whole experience (but then again someone who can't climb stairs will love this), but I digress about this. The second floor is pretty good. They have every kind of equipment at the bigger gyms but their equipment actually has televisions to watch healthy shows or news. There is also a dock per machine for your ipod but of course you have to provide your own set of ear phones, which of course is not a bad deal. Now, for the ladies, on the second floor there is a section of machines that only you will be able to access. Yes, ladies your own private gym! This should be good for those who don't want to fuss of having guys oogle you. But this can be a good thing too for motivation. (purely a joke haha). So far the only fault of this gym is that the workers have very little knowledge when it comes to questions. I know they have Internet Wi-Fi but every time I have asked (5 workers so far), they have no idea how to answer me. It seems of course they will not be offering the WI-Fi option, but other gyms have this. And I am really good with the cracking of the passwords so I am sure I will be having it soon. And ladies (or some men) they do have babysitting on the first floor for those of you who insist on bringing the little brats..... Oops my bad, the little bundles of heaven sent angels with you to the gym. I really think its cool that they have noise proof windows because one thing I don't want to hear is the screaming of those "heaven sent angels" again I digress...... (HAHA).... Also, if you go with their platinum version you get to enjoy the follies of their classes. So far they are not up and running but expect them so, Pilate's, yoga or Zumba much? Enjoy the gym but remember to follow the rules and one is (#5 on their board), NO GRUNTING! Due to this being extremely annoying. Oh yeah, you have to be dressed in gym wear meaning no jeans, work boots or for that matter (and this is my plug) NO DIRTY TEE SHIRTS! He he. Carry on.

I have considered signing up at this location for months now. What has kept me from signing up at…read moreit is the distance to it from my neighborhood, plus the freedom of not being trapped into monthly payments which is a feature my current fitness center (Breakthrough FamilyPlex) beats any fitness center with. The urgency to visit Planet Fitness - Little Village came after my neighborhood fitness center was closed for days due to the holiday which is my only gripe about it, leaving me with no other option. It is a nightmare for any fitness enthusiast to endure, but luckily Planet Fitness was open. I have ventured out before during the holidays, landing at a different fitness center, but I have always had this location in mind. Calling this location to inquire if they were open and if they had day passes, I was informed that the day passes to use the fitness center cost $20. However, in order to save money the employee referred me to daypass.planetfitness.com to fill out my information, so that I can try the fitness center out as a guest. Oh my God! The parking lot for this location was very congested the day of my visit. It may have been because of it being a holiday week why it was so congested. Not only is the parking lot shared with other known businesses with one being Pete's Fresh Market which makes it appear as the fitness center is crowded, but I assure you it is not once you enter the building.. I was impressed upon entering because it has just about every machine you would need for the perfect workout. I would imagine that there should not be any instances of not finding an open machine with there being so many. As for covid-19 precautions, there are disinfectant spray bottles given to visitors for them to clean whatever machine used. Not only were machines cleaned by visitors, but Planet Fitness staff too! Machines were marked off one every two machines to allow social distancing, or in their words social fitnessing, hehe. Masks are required plus they offer masks to visitors if in need of one. I loved having eighteen flat screen televisions in front of me with different things being showcased as I worked out because it took my mind off of looking at the machine as every minute went by. It felt great being able to ride an upright stationary bike which my regular gym does not have. There are just certain positions you can get into on an upright stationary bike that you cannot on a recumbent stationary bike. And they do have plenty of both, upright and recumbent bikes to ride. Interesting concept of both the Pf 360, and 30 minute workout areas. Inside of both there is a flashing traffic light guiding you when to start and finish your workout on whatever machine you are on. Another area was the Abs & Stretching where I conducted an abdominal workout and yoga. The Abs & Stretching area has a very intimate vibe, even if there is someone else in the room other than yourself. All in all, a pleasant experience with Planet Fitness - Little Village. After visiting this location, I would not mind driving out to it again as well as maybe opening a membership being that Planet Fitness is very affordable. I spent a total of three hours and seven minutes working out. Even though I did not spend a dime to utilize the fitness center, I had planned to get my money's worth in the form of time spent. Surely I got that, as well as cramps in my abdominal region during my ab workout on the abdominal crunch machine, hehe. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

All of the lockers are broken from people breaking into them, everything is absolutely DISGUSTING. It seriously looks as if no one has ever cleaned anything, especially the walls and floors. They also won't pay for heating/cooling, so in the summertime it's 90 degrees in there and your sweating as soon as you walk in, and in the winter it's 50 degrees.
