I was going to gyms like Charter Fitness as well as Xsport. I thought the middle range priced gyms would give better product and some of the locations were nice, but most, especially the one that starts with the letter. Was always, dirty, filthy and weights were left everywhere. At planet fitness, at least the location in Hickory Hills. This location is always super clean, no weights on the floor ever. Members respect the place and put back the weights and clean up after themselves and even sanitize everything after use. Most importantly, the staff. The staff here, ROCKS. Angie and Mario work in the morning shift and they are so welcoming. Angie has the best attitude and energy, especially walking into a gym where there's days I don't want to be here. She'll always be in the best mood regardless of any personal problems we all have. She is the bomb. Mario is equally as awesome. Always saying hello and he shows that he cares about his members as well as the establishment. Nancy works the late night shift and even though she's super tired when I get her at 5 AM, because she's been here all night, she still gives me a smile. I love this place and I am so blown away how awesome a place can be when it's surrounded with positive culture.

All of the workout sessions are different every time from kick boxing, weight training, cardio and strength training. All of the workout sessions are fun. Yes, fun. Mainly because they are different. Ive been coming to this gym for the last 9/10 years. If you are serious about working out I would…read moreabsolutely not recommend this gym. If you are in collage or over the age of 70, this place is for you. They haven't gotten any new weight machines in the last few years but want to up the price. You have kids working here, that are more worried about their friends than doing their job and keeping the place clean and weights away. Kids leave their weights on the machines all day, they like to play around with each other, whether it's running around or fake boxing, and good luck using a machine when there are 6 kids on it for 40 min. Moraine charges $60+ for old equipment and many random days they close the gym just because the collage is closed. Most Monday holidays they are closed along with days for "cleaning the gym" when they didn't do anything but re pave the parking lot. Beware of parking as well because they host random sports events and competitions, so you'll have to park far away. There are many gyms in the area and new ones being built that are half the price and you can get new equipment, better services and employees and management. If you are looking for an over priced gym and machines and cables being broken down for months before getting fixed, this crappy gym is for you! Listen to the other bad reviews because I PROMISE you, they are right.

One wonders why management does not claim this Gym…read more The only issue with this gym is the mens bathrooms. It's easy to resolve with sewer drains that open and close. Was not going to mention it at all because I believed it may be out of their control and not a lack of consideration. Unfortunately, after yesterday I am open to the idea that my original train of thought was wrong. Apparently, someone threw up in a garbage can by the entrance to one of the gym areas. During my whole workout everyone that walked by thought it was a member. You could tell by their expression and their verbal acknowledgement. Crazy thing is there was an employee who was painting right next to that very can for at least a half hour. Other employees walked by as well. No one changed that garbage can until I mentioned it when I left. I told them it was either the paint or someone took a dump in the garbage can. Yea it was that bad. Later I called for the number to the district manager and upon explaining why. I got the explanation and an apology. This post is not to make anyone feel bad. The people there seem nice but a little more consideration for your members is needed. Especially if it can be resolved by changing a garbage can. Came to find out the guy that was painting was not resposible for changing the can. Which made it even stranger that he did not mention it to the staff. I had to remove some of my post because everyone is easily offended. What I left stands as true One last thing. An employee should be posted at the rear parking lot entrance. So many people walk in without checking in from there. Sales people should be on that. How are you going to make room for new members?
