Awesome flexologists, energetic studio vibes! Greatful for the care that each flex puts into the sessions. Catered well to my needs.

Mind you that I had been in physical therapy for 9 months prior to TrainLifeFit seeing me--the pt had helped but pain relief and correct posture only lasted 2 hours after each session. I was pleasantly shocked at the relief Sumair provided, corrected my posture by releasing muscles that were constricted and he explained to me that my weak lats were a big source of my issues. Going into my second session, I'm feeling confident that my correct posture will return and my pain vanished, hoping to avoid surgery.

I've been training with Sumair for almost a year, so buckle in, this is a long, thorough review!…read more Before I came to see Sumair, I had struggled for years with back and hip issues. I had an extreme lack of mobility, and my pain was at about a 7 or 8 every day. I was limping around at age 36 like a much older person. At that point I had tried everything - tons of physical therapy, 4 different trainers, chiropractors, massage...nothing worked. When I began with Sumair, I couldn't do much of anything. I mean, I had zero range of motion and very little strength. If you're feeling self conscious or scared, please don't let that stop you, we have all been there, and I would argue that is where TrainLifeFit really shines. Sumair has built TLF to be a holistic program. What makes it so great is that it is a body/mind/emotions program. What does it matter if you can do a proper push up if your mind has been programmed to believe that you CAN'T do things because you "just don't have the body for it"? Because I am petite and small, that's what I had been told. I'd also been told that my pain was just my "new normal," and to get used to it, so Sumair also had to help me overcome my sad sad sad mental programming about my body. He also taught me about mechanics and how to recognize what was going on with my body. That understanding was reinforced through the homework he gave me, so now I have the ability to identify what's happening and work through it on my own. That's important for the other days when I'm not training with him, and I cannot overstate how much it improved my relationship with my body. I now understand it and know what it needs. So my result is, less than a year later, my pain is at about a 1. I have gained significant strength, stability and muscle mass. My winter coat didn't fit this year because my arms and back had gotten bigger! My mobility is excellent and I have recently begun to run again, an activity I had been told wasn't available for me anymore. But most importantly, I trust my body. I know it is capable of much more than I had been told. I understand it, I have a vocabulary to describe what is happening with it, and I no longer treat it like an annoying employee by getting frustrated when it doesn't do what I say. So you can train anywhere. But if you want a transformation, I recommend TrainLifeFit.

The classes remain consistently intense and a fantastic workout. There's a wide range of classes offered every day, and I really appreciate the variety of instructors--you get to find your favorites over time, which makes the experience even better. The studio has a friendly vibe, and most of the spaces are clean. That said, there are usually some stray hairs on the studio floor and a persistent fly that seems to live in Studio 1 (it's become a bit of a running joke in my head). The bathrooms and locker areas, on the other hand, are always very clean and well-maintained. I also love that they provide two hours of validated parking for the nearby garage--super convenient. If I had to point out a couple of areas for improvement: I wish they cleaned the studio floors a bit more thoroughly between classes. I've started wearing socks anytime I'm not on my mat to avoid stepping on anything. I'd also love to see more studio-wide challenges. In the four months I've been attending, there's only been one (the Summer Glow Challenge in August), which was super motivating--it would be great to have more of these throughout the year. Overall, I love this studio, have an all-access membership, and plan to keep coming here for the foreseeable future!

This location is right across from Mueller Lake Park with plenty of street parking and a pay to park parking garage ($2 an hour but the studio covers parking here). There are 2 bathrooms with showers and a large locker/cubby area that also has a sink/vanity area. There are 2 class rooms that both have a wall of windows open to the street. I have really enjoyed taking classes here! It is clean and instructors are friendly. I recommend this location if you haven't checked it out yet. I love to go for walks in the park after taking a class for an extra cooldown. Happy flowing!

I cannot say enough good things about Fitcidence!…read more I started going over 2 years ago now (on a whim because I saw them on TikTok and I thought "this is the kind of fun person I want to be"). I was TERRIFIED to go to my first class, as I was not a gym-goer and my running punchline was that I "didn't know what the inside of a gym looked like." Getting started in the fitness community is overwhelming and so many gyms are pretentious and require you to know a lot about fitness before you go! Luckily for me as a first-timer to a workout class, that is not at all how fitcidence is. I was greeted kindly, everything was explained to me, the attendees and instructors were equally kind and modifications were offered. Cut to two years later and now I workout 4-5x per week and am a founding member of the new space at Fitcidence! I have made some of my best friends in Austin here and will always continue to go to their classes. I am so much more confident (in the gym and in general) and feel so much healthier. I really need to do cardio because I have high cholesterol and cardio is one of the best things for it and fitcidence is the only place I've been where cardio is FUN! If you're hesitating, just do it. You'll be happy you did!

And won. Today, I'm not so sure. Because I find myself outdoors three times a week, running, jumping, throwing, stretching and whatever else Laura Cisneros tells me to do. And genuinely loving it. Laura is a fantastic motivator. She's tough and funny and everything you want a trainer to be. She's very experienced and knows just what to do, for example, if you have a sore neck or a weak left knee. She provides alternate exercises so you can safely execute the workout, and if necessary, recommends reliable therapists. After the first few classes, I had noticeably improved posture. After almost two months, I feel like a super heroine (better! stronger! faster!). Laura has been there every step of the way, instructing, cajoling, yelling, joking and generally getting me to "bust ass, have fun, don't eat crap". Urban Animal boot camp has changed my life. The classes are amazing in that they are tough for everyone and perfectly tailored to each individual's fitness level, injuries, limitations, etc. What's more, the classes are a blast. And at 6:15AM, Laura's jokes, cajoling, and encouragement are definitely needed. If you're looking for a caring trainer and a great group environment to get stronger and leaner in, you've found it!
