The place is rather filthy. They are probably one unannounced health department visit away from being shut down. 2 workers... 75% of the tables have crap for on them and are sticky...The kids working at this place would rather text than actually do anything. I see lots of cash handling back to food handling with no washing between each. You are better off driving to Colusa or Willows. Hell, buying a frozen totinos pizza would probably warrant a better time. read more

WOW GROSS! I came in here a couple days ago and the overwhelming stench of sewage slapped me in the face the moment I walked in. To the point where I actually had to cover my face with my shirt just so I could breath. Kids were running around screaming with no shoes on and food all over their faces. There was pizza crust and napkins all over the floor. And I'm not even over exaggerating- every single table was dirty. I don't know if they were just shortstaffed that day but clearly no one had the time to bus the tables. By the time I tried to make it to the front to order all I could think was "I can only imagine how gross their food is". I had to turn around and walk out. SO GROSS read more

I'll never go back and if I knew what I know now I wouldn't have gone today, but we're passing through and hungry. The food was OK. The music (radio station?) coming from all corners of the room was blasting with adolescent fair. Way too loud. The place was also not clean. The table tops were OK, but other things like window sills and top of chair rail were dirty. A far cry from the Straw Hat Pizza places of old. Adults stay away unless your the type that wears a hoodie to impress a 15 year old on how cool you think you are. read more

Stayed at a nearby hotel and called Straw Hat to deliver-- glad they could deliver, however we pulled up their menu for THAT location -- their website says they have pasta and salads. We ordered a pizza and it was good but also wanted a salad and pasta and was told we couldn't order pasta or a salad. After asking the girl on the phone, who had to be convinced to just throw some lettuce and tomatoes on a plate to make a salad, she agreed to deliver the salad along with the pizza. We received the pizza and the dressing.... But no salad, which we paid for. We called and it was like.... "Oh yeah ... I guess we forgot." So the salads were then delivered. I guess I should be thankful that we got the salad.... But no forks. I guess Straw Hat just doesn't have forks. Guess next time we will just go to Granzellas and forego bothering the Straw Hat staff. read more

It has really good pizza and the toppings are really good with great prices and video games with ice cream which is another thing they sell

Stopped by for coffee while traveling because the drive thru coffee advertisement on the off ramp. This Does not work and they don't seem to care about letting you know that either. So, we Went in, the place had very few customers and 4 people working behind the counter. We ordered an americano and an iced mocha- kinda got the americano got nothing like an iced mocha and it took 20+ minutes so I took what I was given and left - the whole town feels like a twilight zone town or Stephen King town. Very creepy read more

THE WORST PLACE EVER!!! We are visiting from Florida & have never been so ripped off in our lives! We ordered a Large meat pizza which was $19.24...they charged $6.75 on top of that for the same pizza, in order to put the meats on it! It's called "The Meteor" pizza. We also ordered a small pizza which was $10.74...due to it being "The Works" pizza they charged an extra $4.25 for this one! We also got 4 drinks. Our bill came to $55.99! My husband had paid & gave me the receipt. I took it back up to the RUDE cashier & she said there was no mistake & that's what it is! I'm still very upset about the whole experience & the pizza was NASTY too! I've told many people about the charges & nobody can believe this is for real! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL PLACE & it should be shut down! You are crooks! read more

The pizza is great! The service is great! The location is convenient, it's right off the freeway! One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! I'm definitely going to come back again! read more

Surprisingly great tasting pizza for a quick stop off the I5. Our family enjoyed the lemon chicken pizza. Should have ordered the "king" size. read more

Would have liked to try their food but unfortunately for false advertising they do not deliver. Very disappointing.

first time getting pizza while trekkin I-5. sick of fast food and done with the million black bear diners. pizza it is! thought it was a drive through (as the sign states) but it wasn't (only coffee drinks). bummer. but AC inside to escape the heat of the hot ass valley. nice little salad bar etc also nice big refillable cups 'to go' for the rest of our long drive and according to the cup " reason #10 why you love straw hat pizza" is that they use fresh zero trans fat locally grown ingredients. only 3 stars because the deals are only good on weekdays and it took a little too long to get our pizza even though we were the only customers (realized it was ready but no one was around to notice till I said something) friendly staff and the pizza was good :) read more

Pizza was tasteless and burnt. Bread sticks were mostly big chunks of garlic. But it's better than starving

three times I've gotten pizza from there, and three times I've gotten bad service. Two times I picked up and was greeted with such a lack of greeting/interest it was awkward to be there. It was like I farted in an elevator or something. This last order was the one that straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. My wife ordered a pizza and was told it would take 15min. She arrived 20min later, and proceeded to wait another 20 minutes to get the pizza in an almost-empty restaurant. She was finally, begrudgingly, offered a soda, but no apologies or explanations for the slow pace. I would take this with a grain of salt if I hadn't experienced this weird "alien from outer space" treatment myself. I see no reason to spend money there a fourth time. Colusa has Round Table, and the staff there is great. No need to worry about us ruining your interesting conversations with business, Straw Hat. We're taking ours elsewhere. read more

Hadn't come in a really long time because they always mess up my order. I came back because they're the closest pizza place. They messed up on my pizza and my hot wings. I had already picked up my wife's food from a different restaurant while I was waiting on the pizza and I live 10 miles away. They wanted me to wait for them to make it all over again which wasn't gonna work on the other food would be cold. Which didn't matter because it took them about 20 minutes to refund me so the other food was cold anyways. I really just wanted pizza and hot wings I was very disappointed read more

Just left. Staff is unfriendly and rude. Did not welcome us when we came in. Only said hello after we addressed her. When asked a question response was huh?! No thank yous, no have a nice day, no personality. Said we needed a couple salads. She responded with so how many is a couple with the worst attitude. read more

Great salad bar and the wings were good. I was welcomed with a pleasant greeting and a be a big smile. My receipt says her name is Rosemary. She's a great asset to this establishment! read more

High school kid employee its a great place to go if wanting pizza good also has a coffee shop inside now

I last went at the end of December and had the worst Groovy Twist I have been going here for lunch every so often with no problems, decided to give it a try again had no Garlic for the twist so I ordered a Meatball Hot Hat with extra Meatballs, what I received was a Hot Hat with no sauce so much cheese that it was so bad and maybe 1 meatball in the whole thing. read more

So when we went in, it was about 100 degrees out. What do you always look forward to walking into a place to eat? Air conditioning. Nope. Place was hotter inside then out..guess they trying to save money. Daughter ordered a italian sub..girl said we dont have salami but I will put extra toppings to replace it..nope didnt do that..every seat was dirty. There were dead bugs, dirt in every crevice. dust on everything. I saw a greasy hand print on the wall. My husband and daughter ate a sandwich each and each had a soda..Wasnt worth the $20..I just refused to eat. This is the dirtiest place I have every eaten in. How is it still open. We ate here about 10 years ago and the place was fine..the current owners do not know what they are doing. Shouldnt be able to call it Straw Hat. Finally we were the only ones in there and it took her over 30 minutes to make two sandwiches. But this time I was way over heated and creeped out by the place I made my family get something to take it out in. We were given a plastic bag like you get from a generic gas station...for a scalding hot sandwich.. read more
