Only issue is, we did not open or seal that package back. We kept the two packages we opened despite not liking the product. We bought the item with the taped back, but the checkout person didn't notice it was taped (1 of 6 packages). I rarely write a negative review but when she told me that we had sealed that up and they could not accept it, I became irritated. We have tried to like and appreciate this store but it isn't working, so we will bypass it and drive to Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, Lexington, or Nicholasville.

Then we didn't have a gift receipt and he was very short and had me call my mom to do some security questions he was rolling his eyes with every action and word was he very short and abrupt. One of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I understood that he was trying to help but the manner in which he spoke was unacceptable. Me and my daughter were nice and respectful to him and apologized for not having a gift receipt. He was not respectful or nice to us in return unfortunately. So we went to the Lowe's on Nicholasville Rd in Lexington the lady there was extremely nice and simply told us that without the receipt we couldn't exchange it which is fine. We were just wanting a simple yes or no to see if we could exchange it or not. Something so simple but having to encounter such a rude and disrespectful employee at the Lowe's in Nicholasville was just a horrible and unnecessary event that could've been avoided with a simple yes or no or a sorry or some kind of courtesy would have been nice but Rob didn't offer that he was just plain rude from the start.

I can fine items quickly as the app tells you which isle and section to look. I can scan bar code for prices and more information. There is never a worker available when you need one and they only look up the item on their handheld device. They do have some good sales but are not advertised where I ever see them. I just stopped by the Home Depot this afternoon to grab a tire pressure gauge to check one of my…read moretires and decided that I would in fact need a pump as well. During checkout a very friendly and helpful employee named Joe kindly asked if I had a flat tire and needed any help. I said I didn't have a flat but the pressure gauge at the gas station was not working right so I wasn't sure how much air my tires needed given the major fluxes in temperature the last few days. He helped me pick out a high quality pump that was a great price ($40) and then when I asked if I could take him up on his offer he said of course and then proceeded to help me get my tires pumped and learn how to use the new pump. Thank you, Joe! Your help has made me feel a lot better about hitting the road and keeping my tires in check!

The employees are super helpful, from the paint section to the cashiers. The best part of it is simply the convenience of the place. You can get in and out fast. If you need help, you can fend someone and you don't have to wait long. You're going to pay a little more than you will at Home Depot and Lowe's, but in my opinion the convenience and time saved are worth it. Also, if you join Ace Rewards, they are really generous with the coupons. It's also really nice that a Kroger is next door. You can get your grocery items and pick up your hardware needs in one stop. I'm here about every other day. They have really improved the store over the previous True Value that was there. If you haven't stopped by, give it a go.

I had no idea that they had a pick-up spots for people that order ahead of time. I think it's great to have the water containers on the outside for people that need refills and all. This store is very clean and easy to find everything. Every employee that had ever come to us, asked us if we needed help and they were very nice. I have yet to meet someone who was nasty toward us at all. Sure some of their prices may be higher than other stores, but I believe they do price match. Plus I do love that I can take my dog into the store. It's just a nice way to get him out and about and he loves all of the pets he gets, and as we were checking out, an older lady had treats for my dog. She gave him like 10 treats or so. My dog was very happy. I will always come back to this store for supplies for my home.
