Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. Ordered a dewalt impact wrench that was supposed to come with a $105 battery. The battery was NOT in the box. After calling corporate #, provided in app for delivery issues, three separate times only to be told local store would call and they never did. Finally, after waiting two weeks, called the store directly. After three separate calls that each resulted in being hung up on after 15-20 minutes on hold, a lady finally answered and took my name and phone # and said she'd have someone call me back. When told about being cut off after waiting on hold 15+ minutes three times she responded "oh yeah it does that after awhile". As of this writing, still no call, no reimbursement, no nothing. read more

I just had the best experience this morning. I went in for indoor plant items and ended up with plants as well. The plant expert alerted me to clearance indoor plants. There are a few things I couldn't find and various employees were very helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Only the self checkout was open and I had some clearance items. In my opinion, this is one of the BEST Lowe's in Lexington. It just seems to have much more items than the others. I had no idea that they had a pick-up spots for people that order ahead of time. I think it's great to have the water containers on the outside for people that need refills and all. This store is very clean and easy to find everything. Every employee that had ever come to us, asked us if we needed help and they were very nice. I have yet to meet someone who was nasty toward us at all. Sure some of their prices may be higher than other stores, but I believe they do price match. Plus I do love that I can take my dog into the store. It's just a nice way to get him out and about and he loves all of the pets he gets, and as we were checking out, an older lady had treats for my dog. She gave him like 10 treats or so. Decided to update our patio furniture on a whim so a trip to Lowe's was a necessity. They had a good selection of furniture, although we did have to go to 3 separate Lowe's to get all the pieces we wanted. I will say that Kevin who worked in lawn and garden at the nichols park location was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly, and knowledgeable about the products in store as well as some other lawnmower questions my husband had. Super frustrating experience. I went there to purchase carpet. There was nobody in flooring. So I asked 3 people to find someone to help. I waited 25 minutes and no help. I finally got a manager who got someone to take my order. He said "what do you want?" With zero customer service skills. I paid for someone to come measure carpet and went to the house for 4 hours. Nobody came. Now I'm trying to get my refund and surprise, Nobody will answer the phone. I wish I could rate lower than a 1 star. read more

I've been doing business with Lowes for years, but today was my last day as a Lowes customer. They clearly do not value my business. Every time I go there, I see a lot of employees hanging out, having personal conversations, and some of them are downright rude when a customer has the nerve to ask them to do their jobs. The entire crew is unprofessional and lazy. I went to the store to pick up an online order today, and found two of the three employees at the customer service desk engaged in a personal conversation, while one of the three was overwhelmed with customers. I asked to get my order and was curtly dismissed by the man behind the counter. I ripped up the paperwork I brought into the store with me, walked away, and canceled the order online as soon as I got home. The attitude I get from Lowes employees at this store isn't just one or two; it's almost all of them, and I'm sick of it. Lowes, you've lost a customer (me) for life. This is one of three Lexington Lowe's locations and I must admit, it's the one that I frequent the most. Super close to Walmart and Fayette Mall, it's usually all about convenience sometimes. Why I try to find items on my own though, is what I wonder every visit, especailly after I never find what I'm looking for and then end up having to ask one of the ever so helpful Lowes employees... they seem to be everywhere though and that's greatly appreciated. The last time, I asked the gal where a certain think was and she walked me over to it. The service at this location is terrible and continues to get worse. The store is dirty and the few workers they have seem to avoid customer questions if you can find one because they have had minimum training. 1. I went to the store this evening to buy some carpet. After tracking someone down and waiting while they were talking to a coworker, i was told they cannot sell carpet this evening because they were told not to use the equipment and have customers come back next week. ??? I knew which carpet and measurements i needed, looked at the carpet on the roll but no one to roll 10 ft off of a 12 ft wide roll. It seemed the person in that area just did not want to do anything. 2. I then went to the customer service desk and they said they would call a manager over, after 20 minutes standing there I left while also leaving the other items i was going to purchase because no one was at the cash registers and only self service was open. People trying to check themselves out were backed up because they got stuck in the process then had to wait for someone to come over, but continued to wait. I saw 3 other customers get frustrated, leave their carts and walk out. This location service continues to get worse at So. Lexington, 4055 Nichols Park DR., Lexington, KY 40503. Corporate needs to do surprise visits and shop like a customer to understand what is going on then develop an improvement plan including a customer service training plan and local leadership training. read more

Having moved into a new house all of the rooms are different sizes. I needed to buy new rugs for the floors of my new rooms. I was in a bit of a hurry because I didn't want my computer chair scratching up my new hardwood floors. I went to Lowe's hoping to find an area rug. Their selection of colors and sizes was very good. However the rug size I needed was not kept in stock so I would have had to order. I decided to order online for two day shipping. Beyond poor customer service. Waited for someone in one department for 20 minutes while 4 people who didn't "work" in that department walked by despite multiple calls over the PA. Had to get something in another department as well and waited there another 20 mins for someone and no one came. Both times found the store manager and someone showed up all of a sudden. I ordered an install review of my house for a water heater purchase and installation. This was on Saturday. On Monday the guy came to look over the installation. He came early and I was on my way to meet with him but he could not wait for me. I was less than 500 yards from my house and on the phone with him. He left anyway. I saw him at the entrance to my subdivision as I pulled in. He told me on the phone that they could only use a specific size to fit in my house because the pressure relieve pipe was too high and they were not allowed to cut the drywall on installation. However he did specific the height and width of appropriate water heaters. The next day I called Lowe's to set up the install and the guy in plumbing told me he was waiting for my call. I said I thought he would call me when he got the data on the install. The guy who looked at the water heater told us Lowe's would call. I guess we were both wrong. I went to Lowe's at 7:30PM Tuesday. We picked two water heaters that were within the height parameters. They wanted $475 on top of the basic $300 to install it. The install was scheduled on Wednesday for Thursday afternoon at 2:00PM. Shortly before 2:00PM the plumber called and said Lowe's pulled the wrong water heater and that the job could not be done. I called Lowe's and after an hour of conversation they said they could not sell me a water heater because they did not have one that meet the specifications. I am done with Lowe's. The guy did not want to go up 1 flight of stairs is what it all boils down too. He made the comment when I spoke with him about the installation Monday afternoon. Now it is Thursday afternoon and I still don't have a water heater and this one is leaking. Great customer service Lowe's. You've delayed me 5 days and then without giving me an explanation you have decided not to sell me an installed water heater. Thanks a lot. Fat chance of me getting someone else to install one before the weekend. After 20 plus years trading with Lowe's I am finished. They could not even get a manager to get on the phone to talk to me. My wife stood for several minutes being IGNORED by 3 sales people and was passed over.when a new customer walked up and was immediately waited on and then they STILL didn't offer to wait on her. The sales rep completely, 100% verbatim lied to my wife & I about installation, delivery, cords, etc. He actually said their delivery crew could change the receptacle at our house... really? They are electricians too? Also, sold cords that were not needed and said our washer hoses could be reused. Then found out delivery wouldn't install the units without new hoses. We spent $1000+ on new units and Lowe's was completely horrible to work with... having untrained staff is a disaster for any business! NEVER buy from Lowe's. read more

One store cashier told me to get an app. An app to find things when you have at least fifty employees or more in the store? I purchased a water heater from the Nichols Park Drive Store. I was charged $300.00 for the installation by Lowe's. The installer came and spent about 15 minutes and then knocked on my door. He explained that he couldn't install it unless I paid him $50.00 more for him to do it. This installation was to simply remove the old heater and install the new one in the same place. I told him that was between him and Lowe's and I had already paid $300.00 for the installation. He refused and I told him to leave. I called Lowe's and explained the situation. I was told that the same installer would come back and install it without my having to pay him anything. He came back and spent 42 minutes and then stated he was finished. So, I had paid $300.00 for 42 minutes of work. Outrageous! The next day I discovered that my 12 foot extension ladder that was lying in the grass next to where the installer had parked in my driveway was missing. I had purchased this ladder from Lowe's for $125.00. I went to the store and personally talked to the manager and complained about his installer taking my ladder. He said he would look into it. I gave him my telephone number and I never received a call back. He simply refused to do anything. In about 3 weeks the State inspector came to inspect the "installation" and he informed me that the installation did not pass inspection and he "red tagged it" and said he would call Lowe's and explain and that they would come and correct the installation. Again, I never heard from Lowe's. I wrote a letter explaining the situation and asking Lowe's to send someone else to correct the installation. Lowe's never answered the letter and never contacted me again after the inspector had told me they would. I purchased the heater in early January of this year. My heater has still not passed inspection and Lowe's won't do anything about it or even discuss it with me. I probably shouldn't have even given them a single star!!!! read more

I bought a Troy Built lawn mower and it fried ot while my daughter was mowing the lawn. Lowe's made me pay $85.00 to fix the problem, but when i used it again it was doing the same thing as before, it was pouring out gas from the air filter. They do not honor manufactures warranty. I made look at it again and said I would have to pay $350.00 for new engines, that is messed up. I do not recommend Lowe's for anything now. From Ted in appliance sales, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful, to Joe and Mike who delivered our refrigerator (on a Sunday no less!). When the delivery guys know so much about the appliance, and take every step not to damage my walls and floor, I know I made a good decision.
