I was having trouble mounting a TV on the wall. The included screws in the bracket box did not…read morework out at all. So I headed for a *real* hardware store, NOT a big box home improvement store. Why? Because you get one on one help even when its with the littlest of things such as the needing the right screws. This is important to me especially when I'm in a hurry. Chevy Chase came through for me. There is plenty of off street parking in the back plus a back door for customers. The inside of the store seems huge but its hard to tell since the aisles are narrow and it looks like its two buildings put together inside. The rows of aisles is endless it seems. I got there just before closing and did not have time to browse the whole store. Staff was super friendly and extra helpful. I highly recommend this store for your home maintenance needs.

I recently bought an old used queen size headboard and footboard for my granddaughters bedroom…read more There weren't any slats in it so I needed what they call a bunkie board. Because the bed was built before bunkie boards were around, the bunkie boards I found were not the right size. So I decided to make my own slats from a sheet of plywood. So I headed for Home Depot. I went to the lumber area and the gentleman there told me that plywood had really gone up in price. He showed me a piece from a manufacturer that had not raised their prices yet. It was almost $20 less than the others I saw. It cost me $49 and they cut the sizes I needed for free. The Lowes store I sometimes go to does not cut wood; they have a machine but any time I have needed something cut their machine was down. Home Depot loaded it into my car for me and it worked perfectly. I was also able to pick up a light fixture for my bathroom for $29. Really a good deal. I appreciate the service I received at this store. I was in and out quickly and got just what I needed at a good price.

I felt these answers were given on purpose so they could go back to what they were previously doing. One employee tried to sell me on a garbage disposal that only had a two year warranty over another with a six year warranty. He then told me the reason was the six year unit did not have a reset switch. After he left, I found the reset switch that he told me wasn't there . You need to improve your customer service.

During checkout a very friendly and helpful employee named Joe kindly asked if I had a flat tire and needed any help. I said I didn't have a flat but the pressure gauge at the gas station was not working right so I wasn't sure how much air my tires needed given the major fluxes in temperature the last few days. He helped me pick out a high quality pump that was a great price ($40) and then when I asked if I could take him up on his offer he said of course and then proceeded to help me get my tires pumped and learn how to use the new pump. Thank you, Joe! Your help has made me feel a lot better about hitting the road and keeping my tires in check!

I had no idea that they had a pick-up spots for people that order ahead of time. I think it's great to have the water containers on the outside for people that need refills and all. This store is very clean and easy to find everything. Every employee that had ever come to us, asked us if we needed help and they were very nice. I have yet to meet someone who was nasty toward us at all. Sure some of their prices may be higher than other stores, but I believe they do price match. Plus I do love that I can take my dog into the store. It's just a nice way to get him out and about and he loves all of the pets he gets, and as we were checking out, an older lady had treats for my dog. She gave him like 10 treats or so. My dog was very happy. I will always come back to this store for supplies for my home.
