It has more than 350 stores and services including grocers, bookshops, lots of coffee shops, clothing stores, home stores, shoe stores and much, much more. There are children's play areas, food courts, bakeries, and at least one dentist. Numerous public art installations and water features are found throughout. As entertainment, it's great for people watching. If you're shopping and can't find it here, it probably does not exist.

This is particularly the case with the walkway from the station, which provides easy access to the facility. It is also rather easy to navigate, which is also quite beneficial. There are several entry points for the complex and parking ranges for free parking from thirty minutes, to two hours to three hours. I always head straight to the top and make my way down (a good principle in life...although you have to be careful on whom you tread on the ladder on the way up as you might come across them on the way down! ha) Yes this is a great shopping centre.

It is convenient that there is a post office here, as well as a massive Coles supermarket. It is small and is designed as a great get in and get out type of establishment. Sorry, not the type of establishment to make a day out of it clothes shopping. Leichhardt Marketplace is slightly better suited for this purpose, although Broadway would be better for that. A great place to buy those necessities, as well as a great vitamin store and butchery. Also their cafe right near Coles is great for a long lunch and a quality coffee if you need an immediate pit stop, and perhaps you wish to give outside Norton Street and the Italian Forum a bit of a breather. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare here, depending on when you come so it can be a little like a lucky dip; although if you have to you can always park at the nearby Italian Forum. Simple is something that is best for those busy professionals who want to get in and get out as quickly as possible. Not the type of shopping centre for socialising and entertainment.

Many consider it the other way round, and they would be amazed to hear that I felt this way. But I guess I've always just gone to this centre for my shopping needs. Sure it has less in the way of boutique shops and there's only one main supermarket/department store in it compared to Marketplace's three, but who wants to go to a massive shopping centre when all you need are a few things from Coles? Norton Plaza comes equipped with everything you could hope to need from a shopping centre; a chemist, seafood, a butcher, clothes shops, fruit shops, cafes, it even has it's a pub upstairs. It may not be as grandiose as some shopping centres, but sometimes the last thing you want is grandiose and with two hours free parking, a quick trip to Norton Plaza trumps a long shopping day anywhere else.

If you live in the Southern Highlands, this is the nearest place with large theaters for those big, first run films (think Avatar). It is also right next to a major train station that will get you directly to the Sydney Airport in about 45 minutes. Lots of parking, food options, and all the major chains can be found here. You might not realize that having access to these types of places is a big deal unless you move far away to a regional area, and then you will understand the huge value of having all of this under one roof.

The mall isn't necessarily very big, but there were plenty of shops to understand the type of style. I would say the quality and price of the clothes here isn't very great. Style wise, I can see it being trendy, but the quality is like forever 21 or agaci and the price is way too steep for that type of quality. I'm used to heavier fabric and material so to see what was offered here was a bit disappointing. Not the greatest mall I've been to, but not absolutely horrendous. If needed, I would buy things here, but only if I really needed something.

I was amazed to see a grocery store with a full produce section open to the mall. Not something Sean in the states. Big place with 2 levels and plenty of stores.
