The mothership! This joint is huge. How huge? Nicki Minaj looked at it and went "Dayyyuummmm gurl…read moreMac Centa got JUNK" huge. And then did some kind of butt-centric dance-off with J-Lo and Kimmy K and, idk, Amber Rose or someone. Is Amber Rose still a thing? I don't know. I don't watch much TV anymore. There's still some shiny brand-new factor about this place, so do what i did and shoot in early, where you can jag a park without driving around for hours building up monumental amounts of road rage, and cruise around the shops at your leisure before critical mass builds up and the great unwashed sweep in to pick it clean. And inside? It's big, and shiny, with all the brands you know and love and want in a shopping centre, and a bunch of pretty new foreign exchange students - what up Zara, Uniqlo, H&M, how YOU doin?

Yep, another one of those ridiculously massive Sydney shopping centres, that also happens to be…read morequite close to the railway station. It is quite well set up though and a pleasure to explore. This is particularly the case with the walkway from the station, which provides easy access to the facility. It is also rather easy to navigate, which is also quite beneficial. Sure, I'm not really a big fan of shopping centres, but this one was rather nice.

All the old favourites are here: ranging from supermarkets, department stores, to fashion shops,…read morebeauty salons and eateries. The place is quite extensive and has two very large buildings that are over two blocks. The pace wasn't too bad today and although I did get lost and became disorientated when I left from a different exit I still managed to buy a bargain. I love the after Christmas sales and yes they still exist on the 9th January! Watch where you park. There are several entry points for the complex and parking ranges for free parking from thirty minutes, to two hours to three hours. I always head straight to the top and make my way down (a good principle in life...although you have to be careful on whom you tread on the ladder on the way up as you might come across them on the way down! ha) Yes this is a great shopping centre.

Westpoint In Blacktown is a mess right now as one of the main parking garages had a structural…read moreproblem and has been under repair for the last six months. If there is a structural issue on the parking garage how are we too be sure if there isn't an issue with the whole mall. With that said it doesn't look as if that bothers any of the customers. We went on a Wednesday around noon time and guess what the mall was super busy. It took 10 minutes literally to find a parking spot and another 10 just to exit the mall, of course because of the one garage being out of service. The mall has 3 levels with the first and third floor food courts. All sorts of different shops for customers to find everything they came to get. 3 star rating because of the parking issues and chaotic atmosphere.

Carlo is the place you come for stuff you need not stuff you want - groceries, bread, party supplies, keys cut, contact lenses. It has everything you need to run your errands in one place. The shop owners are all pretty nice. Avoid lunchtime any day and right after work. Not just because these are the busy times and you'll find getting a park difficult but also because this is hungry time and the healthiest thing you'll find here is Oporto. On a side note, a large number of commission houses has opened around Carlo in the last 10 years. This has changed the clientele significantly but does make for good people-watching.

The Auburn megamall is located in the suburbs of Sydney and is dedicated to furniture stores. In…read moreessence it is a home living furniture store mall with several different stores. This is quite a unique concept which I really haven't seen anywhere else in the world where you have different competing stores selling essentially the same products under one roof. The mall is based on 3 levels with a subway and a cafe serving as the only eating shops. The rest is all furniture, furniture and more furniture for your home. There is plenty of parking spots and almost every store is within a couple of minutes walking from your car park. Excellent idea maybe gets replicated around the world where you go to one place and have tons of options for your home needs.

Look for the lift on the first floor to quickly access the car parks. Great fresh fruit and veg for last minute dinner ingredients. So, we have this shopping centre here, which isn't too bad, and has a good variety of shops.
