Broccoli Cheddar Bites

I usually don't give an establishment a review after one visit, but my experience here was fantastic. Our server (also the bartender) was very welcoming and could answer any questions we had about the menu. She also delivered our food in a timely manner and checked in occasionally to make sure we were satisfied with everything. The food, especially for bar food, was amazing. We ordered wings, spinach and artichoke dip, and broccoli cheddar bites for apps, and for my meal I ordered the smokehouse platter. All delicious! The tavern also has an excellent beer selection and daily specials throughout the week. I will definitely be back!

Driving through on a road and I needed a late nightcap before heading to our hotel. Great surprise here. No frills but well poured drinks, amazingly friendly and attentive staff at midnight with a kitchen open AND serving real good bar food. We ordered chicken fingers and they were real on the fresh batter fried strips of chicken breast. Kudos! Doing the late night crowd right. Shout out to Heather!

I strongly recommend this spot to my craft beer drinkers! This spot got endless different types of beers from regular corona to a Chimay to Hop devil.... Then If you go there enough you can start this game they have were you drink a certain amount of different beers and you get some type of customizable mug you keep there and use it as your for the night Never got food from here soo can't say if it's good but the atmosphere seems lively I can't really recollect every time I go here usually stupid inebriated leaving this place 4 outta 5 and that's only my fault need to try the food!

The food is okay (though the burgers are creative), the service is okay, the dining area usually isn't busy. Sometimes there is music, which makes it impossible to talk to anyone. The real star of this place is the beer list. They always have an incredible assortment on tap - sometimes thematic (like the night of imperial stouts!) but always of high quality, and always rotating. Excellent spot for craft beer aficionados.

There's a band here playing some good ol classic rock music which is always a cool thing.

One of my favorite beers. I actually discovered this beer at the Penguin in Boston!

Family and friends stopped in following a memorial service to enjoy the food and spirits in this local favorite. They have a good beer selection. I ordered a Chimay and was surprised to learn they had Chimay blue in stock (among others). I also ordered some chicken fingers with one of their signature hot wing sauces and we all enjoyed them so much we ordered another basket! Looking like a Chimay and chicken fingers with hot wing sauce are going to be a favorite of mine! Have fun at the old Mountainville Inn now called Strange Brew.

Awesome beer selection and delicious food. It gets loud when there are bands, but it's one of our favorite spots.

In a nutshell, the chef caters to flavor, and balanced flavor at that, which makes each dish phenomenal. I had the grilled octopus appetizer and it is the best octopus I have had since 1989. That is no lie. Their shell and cheese, small beet salad, hummus, and fall risotto special are equally fantastic in their own right. Enjoy the food, drinks, and quiet atmosphere. Whether small plates, entrees, or desserts, you have come to the right place. One of my top restaurants in eastern-Pennsylvania.

It's open Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. My friend and I made our first visit early Friday evening. The service was good, and the food more than lived up to expectations. We started with tender, well-seasoned beef skewers, crispy buffalo wings over blue cheese, and perfectly cooked roasted cauliflower paired with a tasty tzatziki sauce and pickled onion. For my entree, I ordered the maple-glazed short rib. It was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, and came with creamy sweet potato puree and roasted shallots. My friend ordered the rich, deeply flavorful bolognese. Although she received the small plate portion rather than the entree, it wasn't a major issue as we had more than enough food. There are still many items on the menu I'd like to try, and after such a strong first visit, I'll most certainly be back.

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

With its airy outside patio and spacious interior, we loved the vibe. We were warmly greeted by our server Paige and were seated. Our spicy margaritas had just the right amount of kick! We were off to a great start... We dined on chili and a dish called El Fresco. The El Fresco are marinated seasoned chicken chunks served on a bed of sliced mozzarella and tomatoes. It was so savory and satisfying. The Honey could not stop saying how good the chili was!! I was lucky enough to get a spoonful (or two) before it was all gone! You will not go wrong with either one of these dishes. Paige was nice enough to answer my questions about the Brunch menu and history of the restaurant. She directed me to the wall where an article about the owner Marta was hanging. We then had the pleasure of meeting her when she came by the table to check on us. We're so happy we stopped in. The food and service were top notched. When we're in the area again, we're definitely returning. If we lived in the area I could see us becoming regulars here. I suggest you pay them a visit...if you're local to the area or out of towners, you won't be disappointed!! Thank me later.

This was beyond amazing. I was welcome to the max and butters and felt immediately comfortable and at home. MATT, the bartender greeted me warmly and provided a menu. Martha, who I didn't know was the owner and chef, so you watching the TV isn't asked me if there's anything specific I wanted. She quickly changed the channel that all the TVs to sports. I was blown away by that. The restaurant itself has lots of kitsch and the decor requires you to pay attention and really make some detailed observations. I sat at the bar and it was a quiet night with just me, Matt , and Martha. Another woman named Lindsay joined us, and she was a local. I've never been anywhere where I felt so welcome. I ordered a black cherry cider and a tomato mozzarella salad with shrimp. It was all excellent. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Martha is an amazing chef and restaurateur who knows her stuff and knows how to create a space that welcomes guests. It was one of the best experiences I've had eating out while working. It makes me want to come back to Allentown just to patronize this restaurant.

We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house. We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.

They have a little outside seating and all the way in the back is a lounge area. They are open from 12pm to 2am. We went around 7pm on a Saturday evening. FYI they do have their own parking. It wasn't that packed around that time. Their food menu is nice. So we order for drinks a Honey comb and a The Uprising as well as the Pink Dragon . The uprising is pretty much a tequila sunrise lol the only difference is they added whipped cream on top.For appetizers we order the sweet and hot wings with the bone(they have a boneless option as well). As well as the bacalaitos. For the entrees we order the surf and turf (lobster tail )mofongo with garlic sauce ugh just amazing. The other entree was white rice beans and toastones with churrasco . If you like hookah they do serve that as well let me not forget for all my sushi lovers they do have a sushi station and when I say the chef makes the sushi look so pretty you get to see it made right in front of you . The only downfall I would bring up is that gratuity is all ready included and sheeesh it's 18%. Other than that I would go again to see how the vibe is for the lounge at a later time .
