Every time I go to this store the line is long. I feel bad for the cashiers. The management needs to do something.

The store itself, at least the times I've gone reasonably organized and relatively clean. The main reason I go to this Walmart is for their garden center, the plants have been consistently good and well priced. Cleaning supplies seem to be a better value too. I like that I can purchase spray paint easily here, for all my tagging needs. (joke) I needed some for some patio furniture that I want to get another year out of. Never had any issues with the cashiers here, today my cashier was friendly and we conversed for a bit since no one was waiting behind me. Sometimes, being nice at the start of an interaction helps. One of my first jobs was as a cashier at one of those mega stores (Turnstyle) I remember how rude some of the customers were, give people the opportunity to respond nicely, they usually do.

I had a very disappointing experience with Walmart customer service. Hanging up on a customer who is simply trying to ask a question is extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. I understand that employees deal with a lot of customers, but basic courtesy and professionalism should still be expected. I did speak with the store team lead about what happened, but I still feel the experience should be documented. Customers should not have to worry about being abruptly disconnected when they are trying to get basic information from the store. I hope management addresses this because this type of customer service reflects poorly on the entire store. James needs to be retrained and replaced

Pete's saved my daughter's graduation party!…read more I don't live in Chicago anymore. But most of my huge family still lives on the South Side. My daughter just graduated college, and we had the party planned for last Saturday. Long story short......my phone died while at the Cubs game on Friday. Woke up downtown on Saturday to a message that the place I had planned to cater from couldn't do it (nice....but that's for another review). I called Pete's. Becky in Customer Service couldn't have been more accommodating. This place is incredible - I really wish we had a Pete's in So Cal! Picked up all the food (even had fresh baked rolls right out of the oven). I had a lot of family asking where I catered from. I told them the story (and found out the place I was originally going to cater from has gone DOWNHILL in quality - so everything happens for a reason). All I can say is the food was INCREDIBLE. Mostaccioli with marinara sauce, sausage and peppers, Italian sliced beef, broasted chicken - amazing! I'm fairly certain Pete's has won my family's catering needs. At least I hope so!! Shout out again to Becky from Pete's in Customer Service who went out of her way to make this an incredible party!

First, they've moved next door from their old location on Indianapolis Boulevard, into the old KFC. It's a larger building and serves more as a supermarket than I think their previous spot did. I only get their tamalas, which come four ways (that I know of): beef, chicken, pork with red sauce and pork with green sauce (spicier). I always get the chicken and green pork. Unlike these places in Columbus, Ohio (yeah, I said it), they give you a HEALTHY portion of meat at a much better price! They must literally make thousands each day, because the line for the tamales is always long and people buy serveral dozen at a time. When you ask for your type, they go back and wrap them while you wait. The end result is a (very) hot package of twelve. You can literally eat them on the way home. The masa (breading) is perfect, yet in no way, dominates the meat. Can't say the same about these other spots that seem to rip you off. My only disappointment is that their price jumped from $7 to $12 per dozen, which is a significant increase. However, it has been 2 years since my last visit, so between inflation and business they might have lost during the height of the pandemic, it's understandable. But then again, $12/dozen is still a fair price for such as good tasting item. I bought 5 dozen, at two dozen and froze rest, which will be quite tasty when I decide to heat thaw and reheat them. I gave a dozen to one of my sons and his girfriend, who sent me a motion clip of her enjoying it. She told me that it took her back to her childhood in Vegas, where they also make wonderful tamales. As always, I will be back. But next time, for many more because once I posted them on Facebook, several (Columbus) friends asked me to take orders for them as well.
