    They invited us to tour the facility before we boarded our 2 dogs. We went on a Saturday at 2pm…read more They were not busy. We waited 10 minutes for the woman to finish the tour she was doing. When she was done her coworker informed her she had another tour. She pouted because she said she had a sore throat. They paged a male employee. Are several minutes he came in from out front. They told him they needed him to do a tour. He made an exasperated noise and said he didn't want to. I stepped up and said since our business wasn't a priority, we would take it elsewhere. If they couldn't be bothered to give us a tour that they invited us to take, how would they treat our dogs. We could not believe we were treated so poorly.

    Two stars: here's why The good: we have seen at least 3…read moredifferent vets here. They have all had good bedside manner and listened to my concerns. The techs and front desk staff are friendly. They generally can get you an appt next day. The bad: 1. My pet has been seen here within the past 6 months. I called to get a simple flea and tick med refill. We are up to date on the heart worm testing that had been performed here. The receptionist told me I could not get the med filled because it is state law to be up to date on rabies vaccination to get flea and tick medicines prescribed. My pet did not have a rabies vaccine on file at the first visit, when they prescribed me a 6 month dose. They did not tell me at the time that a stipulation to refill would be to have proof of rabies vaccine. Poor communication to me, and gave me misinformation because it is not State law, but instead their individual policy for this company that they must have proof of rabies to prescribe anything else to you. I appreciate that the medical director did call me back same day and listened to my concerns. They filled the med as a one off, but it was very disheartening to have to jump through hoops to get a preventative care medicine that other vets would readily give because all that is actually required by law is a valid vet-client relationship which, for most vets, means they have examined your pet within the past year. 2. We had cytology sent away for my dogs lump. The vet called to discuss the results and said that not enough sample had been collected, but she was confident it was a lipoma. This seemed to be an error in collecting the sample, but when discussing with the medical director it was told to me that this was another miscommunication. It was actually deemed a lipoma per the lab. 3. We brought our 4 month old, 4 pound kitten is for pre-surgical labs for her spay. They said she was too unruly and gave us meds to make her calmer. We came back with her medicated and they were still unable to get a blood sample. This is not a feral cat, she is a well domesticated cat we have bottle fed since 4 weeks old. The vet that performed her spay was able to get bloodwork without pre-meds. Unfortunately too much "bad" outweigh the "good" for us to return here.

    We had an absolutely amazing experience sending our Walter to AmericanK9! We did extensive research…read moreon our options and felt good about utilizing the board and train option. It isn't easy sending your dog away to work with strangers but they far exceeded our expectations. We definitely hit the jackpot with our trainer, Natalie. Walter had challenges with reactivity and general manners. She went above and beyond to make sure Walter was cared for while also making a huge difference in his behavior. Natalie was communicative with us and really made us feel like we were apart of the process. It was clear that Natalie spent the time getting know Walter and his quirks along the way. We also really value Natalie's perspective on Walter and his experiences in the world. Walter came home with an incredible foundation of training, a love of learning, and more confidence in himself. We also gained confidence in our ability advocate for Walter and ensure his success. We are forever grateful for Natalie and all the incredible work she did with our boy. We tell everyone we meet about our experience and hope so many other folks get to work with Natalie!

I recommend 1000% Danny the lead trainer. She was patient, nonjudgmental and professional. She helped us gain our confidence and showed us how to better walk our dog. Danny was spot on with all our dog issues, just think she is the best. I wish communication could have been better at the beginning of our issues but they did help us. Thanks

While "signing in" with my dog, I told the girl that my GSD had surgery to help prevent bloat. She looked at me like I had two heads. I told her that I was sharing with her in case she needed to know for his records. My frustration is that she obviously doesn't know much. I have never understood how/why people with no knowledge are hired and/or left on their own. The girl who was checking me out could was struggling too. I was to get 50% off, but she couldn't figure it out. She kept telling me my total was $79. Last year the doctor took the time to examine the dog. This year he didn't examine or listen to my dog's lungs, heart etc. He just drew up the vaccines and gave them. This service still beats Banfield, though.

We met with both technicians today and they were fantastic! (Unfortunately, we forgot to get names and they were not on our receipts, so I called headquarters to get first names - I hope these are right!) Samantha our cashier for the day was super friendly and went above and beyond to assist us. Christopher the tech who checked us in was terrific. This is our second time having him check us in and get us set up and both times he's been the most knowledgeable person we've dealt with at a vet office. He helped go through all of our records, explained all of our requirements and was able to answer every question we had. He's super personable and is great at his job. We didn't see the vet today, so won't review her here. Our last visit did see the vet on duty and he was nice. Pricing for the mobile clinic is very affordable! The techs you deal with really set the tone for this great service - they are amazing!
