On the actual wedding day, she seemed unsure of how I should make my entrance down the aisle. She later mentioned that she had given me options for the entrance just moments before I was due to walk down. Why should such a critical decision be left until the most nerve-wracking moment? Lastly, we had a flower girl and her mother who arrived late to the rehearsal, meaning we couldn't practice their roles. Lilli failed to communicate the necessary instructions to them after they entered, leading to the flower girl becoming upset and wandering aimlessly during the ceremony. When we confronted these issues to her next day, she said "if this is going to ruin your wedding, your marriage is not going to last" If you want to hear this after your wedding day, please hire her

We reached out to Lilli Black on a whim, not expecting a reply, as we are working with a very small budget. How wrong we were! Lilli didn't just reply, she replied at 9:00pm at night 10 minutes after my initial query. She even conversed with me for over an hour, providing me insights, general advice and really calming my nerves! The next day we were in her office! She gave us the full run down on a typical budget, potential place we can host it at, and completely different styles of wedding. We haven't even engaged her yet, and she was professional to the T, providing us insight in the spirit of good will. She has hosted 1000+ weddings and the experience showed in her candor, knowledge base and demeanor. At the end of the day, we didn't manage to book Lilli only because our first choice became available. We had imagined a beautiful outdoor wedding with a rustic reception that Lilli mentioned was definitely doable, even with our tiny budget. I deal with a lot of vendors and I knew my same-day request (on a Saturday no less) would probably be met with cranky "not possible in the timeline" responses. Instead, I met Jolene on the other end of the phone. What a warm and positive person! She immediately took on my problems with grace and alacrity. She not only solved the heaters and blanket asks but also added so many details that I would never have thought of. Baskets to hold the blankets. Blankets tied with twine. Additional black napkins in case someone was wearing a dark outfit. Found local wines and beers. Just extremely thoughtful in everything she did. My event was not big or expensive. I'm from out of town so I'm probably not a repeat client (wish I could be!). And I had a very last minute weekend request. And Jolene pulled through 110%. Every detail we asked for came with a "yes" answer. She had wonderful recommendations for us and she and the entire staff worked with all my ideas - no matter how "different" they were. In fact, we made a last-minute request for a late-night charcuterie board and the chef jumped in to make it happen - and it was spectacular! In fact all of the food was incredible! Our friends and family are all still talking about how it was the best food they'd ever had at an event or wedding. The planning phase was simple, organized, thorough, and extremely professional. I'm very much a "Type-A" person, and this one one of the few times in my life I was able to sit back and trust that others would get it right - would see my vision and run with it. Wedgewood was super accommodating to the vendors I chose to bring in for ceremony music (string quartet), florist, pastry chef/wedding cake and groom's cake, marquee letters, favors, balloons, and other extra touches.
