Unfortunately, from start to finish, our experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. Communication was poor from the very beginning. Over the course of planning our wedding, we were assigned five different day-of coordinators due to constant staff changes. Then, just three weeks before our wedding, we received an email stating that the venue had changed ownership yet again. We were introduced to Keisha, the new manager and point of contact, who assured us that things would be handled differently and that we'd be well taken care of. Sadly, that couldn't have been further from the truth. Only two weeks before our wedding, we were told that they couldn't locate our signed contract. When we checked the digital link where our contract had been stored, it showed that it had been deleted. We were then asked to sign a new contract -- but this new version included multiple price increases, including higher rental fees. Despite having several emails proving our original agreement, the venue insisted we sign the new contract. Even during that renegotiation process, Keisha repeatedly forgot to include key details we had already agreed upon. If it hadn't been for our day-of coordinator carefully reviewing the revised contract, several important elements would have been missed entirely. That kind of carelessness just added to the stress and uncertainty we were already facing. When my husband (then fiancé) spoke with Keisha by phone to calmly address these issues, she raised her voice and continuously spoke over him like a child throwing a temper tantrum- behavior that was unprofessional and completely unacceptable, especially just two weeks before our wedding. The entire ordeal caused tremendous stress in what should have been one of the happiest times of our lives. To make matters worse, they wanted to charge us an additional $800 -- $400 per hour -- simply to arrive early enough to get ready at the venue. As a result, we were rushed on the day of the wedding. My hair and makeup team struggled to finish in time, and my husband ended up helping set up just hours before guests arrived -- something no couple should have to experience on their wedding day. To be fair, our day-of coordinator, Brooke from Grace & Co., was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to make the day run smoothly and was the only reason things came together at all. However, she does not work for Villa Parker -- she was contracted separately, and her professionalism stood in stark contrast to the venue's management. As a Colorado native, I had always dreamed of having my wedding at Villa Parker. It was once owned by a couple who truly cared about making each event magical, but sadly, under the new ownership, that warmth, integrity, and attention to detail are completely gone. Even after our wedding, when we returned to pick up our items, the project manager saw us and didn't even acknowledge us -- not a word, not a smile, nothing. It breaks my heart to say this, but I would strongly discourage anyone from booking Villa Parker under its current ownership. The venue itself may be beautiful, but the management and treatment of clients are deeply disappointing. I hope in time they rediscover the excellence and care that once made this venue so special.

Not only does The Barn have all the charm you're looking for, but their team is absolutely incredible at helping plan your perfect day. Don't take it from me, ask any of the vendors and they'll also tell you The Barn is their favorite venue. The food is amazing and they're happy to work with any dietary preferences. They offer multiple ceremony sites with backup plans should Colorado's weather get in the way. And they deliver a top notch day. The Barn is also VERY affordable, even for smaller weddings. Ours was 50 people and came in under budget even with a top shelf open bar and elevated menu. Seriously, this place cannot be beat. The day exceeded our expectations thanks to our coordinator Tayler and the entire staff at The Barn. It was absolutely perfect.

This estate is really popular for weddings and local events - around Halloween, Christmas/Holiday season and spring - but also allows visitors daily, for free guided tours! The mansion itself is HUGE, ornately decorated and fun to explore! The history of the property is documented on the walls and throughtou the space, but I recommend a tour! My husband and I went to a recent paranormal event - featuring a local business who specialized in ghost hunting. It was a little cheesy at times, but exploring the mansion, on our own, at night, in the dark, proved to be a spooky experience - especially after learning about the lives lived and deaths at the mansion. Perfect ghost territory! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and able to provide excellent education around the mansion and on those who lived inside. Definitely a must see in the burbs!

Let's start with our wedding coordinator Alex, our dream come true, goddess queen. Alex introduced herself about 6 weeks prior to our wedding day and she didn't skip a beat. We probably emailed her every other day toward the end with random questions and she was always there to help. She had great energy toward both us and our guests, she was organized beyond belief and she made the whole day SOO beautiful. When we sat down to our table for the first time, there was a hand-written letter and a framed photo of us waiting from the ceremony! No idea how she pulled it off so fast, but it was such a beautiful, special touch. We also accidentally purchased non-biodegradable rose petals for the aisle, but needn't fear, Alex made sure to get us the right ones and had them out and ready to go for the ceremony. Because she's perfect. There were points where I was definitely feeling a bit anxious and Alex sat me down in a space to myself and provided me with necessary comforts to calm me down. She is thoughtful and empathetic, we couldn't have done this without her. She may have this effect on everyone, however, we felt we built such a special bond with Alex and that says so much about the people that Wedgewood chooses to hire. Everyone was commenting on her hard work and energy because she's that good. She is made for this work and we love Alex from the bottom of our hearts, for real. Next, Becca, our banquet captain....dream, legend, beast. All our guests were crushing on her by the end because she's just so badass and worked so hard the entire night! We did not have to worry about a thing, it was packed up and ready for us to grab in the morning. We hear stories about guests and the married couple needing to break down their own weddings and get it all out of there night of, not with Becca! It was handled for us and we didn't have to think twice on the night of our wedding. Becca always managed to have a drink on the way to us as well, so we never had to think twice about what we needed, she thought for us. Thanks for being perfect (heart) Twisty Christy BaBYYYY!!!! Christy was on TOP of it. If people weren't coming up to the bar, Christy was approaching them making sure they were getting exactly what they needed. Even my 4 year old nephew who was unsure of what he wanted got touched by Christy's greatness. She proposed a mocktail that he couldn't refuse and continued to check on him, remembering his name and all We love you Christy! DJ Katie, girl....slay. Katie had to fill in last minute due to an emergency with our original DJ, and it went off without a hitch. Naturally when you're getting married there is a lot to plan and consider, so it would have been easy for us to feel the stress of such a last minute change. However, Katie made it all happen and more. She didn't skip a beat and we are so impressed with her ability to jump in and get the job done. She even came out on the dance floor to party with us a few times, which all our friends are still talking about. But that is the Wedgewood experience, it feels like everyone involved is a part of the party and it was really a familial experience the entire way through. And to the rest of the Wedgewood team that took care of us that night that we did not get as much interaction with, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our server Callie, was attentive, kind, and busting her butt with a smile on her face. Nate on Prep, the food was AMAZING, everyone was so happy. And of course, a venue is nothing without the back of the house making sure the wheels are turning, Tyler, thank you!! Once more, it was the best wedding in the universe. The scenery, the venue space itself, the staff, and the little details, if we could do it all again we would do it every week! Just kidding, my wife is fried. But we really had the best time and can't recommend it enough. Thank you Wedgewood!!
