I wound up getting a rental that day and it was super easy. I highly recommend this place and will save you the leg work... the others in the White Plains area are dingy, smelly, and are old so there is lots of dust and smelly carpets. This place cannot wven compare to the others! Ask for the deals they currently have. You get a nice break in the beginning but your contract will go to regular pricing once you have determined the package you get. You will be very happy here!

By the way, their site adverises 562 5 star reviews, but you should read some of them. You won't see mine, I'm betting. It started with the every-three-months rent increases. If I'd stayed, I would be paying close to $7,000 a year for a 10x15 space with no electricity at a storage site where the front gate hasn't been reliably closed in over a year. The tenant over me decided to store two large bags of ice melt which liquified and dripped into my space causing hundreds of dollars of damage. Another tenant (same one?)) complained that the generator I used to keep batteries charged was leaving "smoke" in the climate controled area. That wasn't true, but I bought outdoor cable covers and moved the generator 30 feet away against the fence. A year later I get a call telling me that "corporate" didn't want anything "electrical" going on and that I couldn't use the generator. Note that I used a Furman industrial power surge protector (for trickle chargers...).Funny thing: at least two other renters used their generators at the same site. I needed to get tree sap off my wife's car and all my cleaning equipment was at Hawthorne. Site manager sees me and says "This isn't a car wash". He also related that another tenant had complained that I had washed a motorcycle there. Horrors! US Storage is at least the fourth owner and operator of this site, and they successfully drove me out. NIce work.

The customer service at this company is so atrocious it inspired me to write my first negative…read morereview. Their system allows a customer to place an order that the company cannot process. Supposedly, somewhere on this busy website they list lead times - but not on the ordering page. Here is the sarcastic and inappropriate response I received from their customer service: "It appears that you do not wish to take any responsibility for your actions - i.e., placing an order with so little time before your event on a holiday week and not reviewing the clearly posted processing times nor our clear cancellation email - both Rush Processing and Expedited shipping were offered directly on the checkout page - processing time is highlighted twice - once in bold on the item page. By your argument, should you choose to operate your vehicle well in excess of any posted speed limit, the fault lies elsewhere since the manufacturer created a vehicle that could exceed the speed limit." A simple solution to the problem, along with an apology for the issue, would have been standard. Clearly, Favor Warehouse receives so many orders from the public that they are above treating people with normal kindness and consideration.

DO NOT use PODS. Spend the extra money and book someone who will show up on time and hold their…read moreagents accountable for good, timely service. PODS does not share with their customers that you should not plan to move on the same day that your POD is delivered (in the event of "unforeseen" delays). I can't think of a situation where that would be a value proposition to the customer. My wife and I are giving one star because we were assured that hiring movers on the day of our POD delivery would be no issue. On the day of our move, however, the delivery was delayed by four hours without warning or notice and caused us to incur fees from our movers. PODS won't hold themselves accountable and won't acknowledge any error on the part of their agents. But don't take my word for it, read the other one-star reviews where PODS doesn't show up for hours, sometimes days after they were scheduled. I have escalated my case to the Better Business Bureau and recommend that others do the same. The single star in this review goes out to the driver, Carlos, who was friendly, helpful, and dropped the POD when and where he was told to (no one ever told him we had been originally scheduled for earlier in the day). The rest of my experiences with PODS have been exclusively negative. Would not recommend.
