Stopped in for a late dinner as we passed through Chelan. Staff was less than pleased to see us walk in even though it was 8:15pm and they said they were open until 9pm. The waitress was snappy and unpleasant. We kept our order as simple as possible however the entire atmosphere was rude and uninviting. If you don't want customers, then don't stay open! read more

Website and phone voicemail state they are open until 10:00pm on Saturdays. I showed up at 9:15 and asked if their kitchen was still open, but was advised they were closed. No problem. As I thanked the hostess, I loudly heard some asshat in the back mockingly say, "Are you guys still open?!? Idiot." Who does that? Excellent snack spot! Stopped in for a beer on tap during happy hour. Our waitress knew her beer and directed me towards one I would like. Husband had a local cider which was delicious. Service was horrible as usual. They really need to hire folks that want to be there. I felt like a total inconvenience to this person. I have had her in the past and she is always cranky and rude in general. Food was good but when you can't enjoy the meal because your server is so rude, it doesn't make it worth it. I was told that they have the best pretzels, and it is true. The best I've ever had. Absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside- with just the right amount of salt, and homemade queso dip. That was the appetizer. Then I had the fish sandwich which was really good. The batter on the fried fish was light and not too thick, and they added coleslaw on it. Loved it. And their fries were like fat dinner fries, and also delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. Highly recommend! read more

This is one of our regular stops when we visit Chelan (at least a couple times a year). One of the reasons we always go there had been the amazing Buffalo Mac n Cheese! Yummy Creamy Cheesy Buffalo goodness! We just returned and were told by the waitress that they do not have it anymore.... so sad! It has been replaced by a white cheddar version - I guess we will have to try that on our next trip. Stormy if you read this - bring back the buffalo! read more

Cool ambience in the heart of downtown Chelan. Servers are friendly and attentive. They are a scratch-made kind of place, all the way down to their delicious barbecue sauces. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Family friendly too - definitely worth a visit. read more

Love the Juice Box IPA my favorite place for adults and kids alike !! The is my Chelan place .. I am in love with the brisket and sliders and love the Carolina Mustard and the spicy BBQ sauce .. The only negative is they don't have fries and burgers for the kids ( only slider and Mac and cheese ) but we make due .. Love the staff so friendly ! Where I'm from we love to try out Breweries and Coming here for our first time from out of town, the Food was ok. Service was poor, felt under pressure when ordering food but also seemed we seemed to annoy the servers. Not sure because of low staffing but I'd say this was a disappointing experience I had a brewery. Atmosphere was laid back too but I don't see us coming back. read more

This is a good spot to get a really good beer. We got seated right away here and were hungry from our long drive over the mountain. We started with some beer - the wife ordered a sampler of a number of them, and I went straight for a pint of the winter warmer. If you want something heavier and a high ABV, boy is that a great beer. I'm still thinking about it a week later. From the samplers, we liked everything we tried. The sandwiches we ordered were fine, but not notable. They were like if you went to a friend's house for lunch and their mom pulled out some sandwich makings because it was the easiest thing for her to do on short notice. Bae loves brewery so we were excited to check this out. We were seated as soon as we arrived. On Mondays, they have bbq ribs starting at 5 pm. My partner ordered a lager and she wasn't a fan. We tried to order wings, but they had ran out of wings already. We ended up just ordering the chicken nachos, and that didn't disappoint. It is shredded chicken, and that was a nice surprise. Our server was pretty consistent with checking in with us; they did use "guys" a lot, which bothered me a bit. It isn't very inclusive since we were not guys. They do have stickers which is always a plus for bae. I love that they created barriers with plywood between booths. Glad we were able to try this out. read more

I'm not sure why Stormy Mountain only has 3.5 stars. We e been here 3 times over about a five year period and still enjoy it each time. The kids love their Mac and cheese. The fish tacos were awesome and tasted very fresh. My husband loved the beet bread. Nice people, very laid back atmosphere. read more

This brewery is set up a bit different than most of the ones Steve and I have visited in the state. The signature brand beer is actually not brewed on site at this location at all and is brewed at a brewery in the middle of the state and then transported here. They explained why this was but it still seems a bit confusing. Often times there are lots of entanglements with counties and trying to get a brewery open so I imagine that could be a factor as well. Stormy Mountain Brewing is located at a great central location of Chelan and if you can sit outside on a nice day you can definitely enjoy a great view of the area. Steve and I got two beers here. I got a pretty good Pale Ale and Steve got a Hefeweizen which I liked a bit better. Stormy Mountain Brewing also serves food and the menu is fairly considerable but we did not have lunch here.... we just wanted to grab a drink and proceed with our sightseeing of the area. read more

Service and food have both only declined in the last couple of years. Staff is disrespectful, entitled and do not care about their customers. Food comes out not as explained on the menu, dry, flavorless, and seemingly microwaved. After talking to a handful of other locals- this is normal. We came in at 7:35 were ignored until 7:43 then told we had to order right away bec the kitchen closes at 7:45. We ordered quickly. When our food arrived the nachos were burnt and dry. Looked like they had sat in the warming window forever. I asked for queso to go over them because it was definitely missing some toppings. I ended up grabbing the menu myself and saying to the server that they did not come out with any tomatoes or sour cream- and that's why I ordered a side of queso to help dampen it up a bit. She told me that I should have clarified that from the beginning... um or the servers should look at their food they are bringing out and make sure it's correct? We put about 2 bites of food in our mouths then the sever hovered over us saying that we needed to pay right now so they could close the till. We literally had food in our mouths!!! We said can we just finish our dinner first?? She said no they needed to close the till and they close at 8. She looked at my and my toddler and said "some of us would like to get home to our kids too". Wow. So if your staff wants to be home at 8pm, please for the love of God Stormy Mountain, close your doors/kitchen at 7pm. I've never had such a rude experience in the food industry. Everyone at our table has worked in the industry for a majority of our lives and we have NEVER treated our customers this way. We have never been hovered over, rushed, belittled, argued with or disrespected like we did here. Staff needs a serious renewal. A time before this one, we ordered fish tacos and they came out smelling like vomit. We told the server hey this has a funky smell to it, maybe it's the cabbage. Either way we will try to order something else. She wouldn't let us, then the cook came out to our table heated, clearly angry and annoyed and asking what was wrong. It felt so inappropriate. We were baffled and said we will finish up the pretzel and something else but please just take the tacos back. The server, obviously annoyed grabbed them, knocked over an entire water onto my husbands lap and did NOT even apologize. Not even a small, light, quiet "sorry". Most people would be very apologetic after spilling an entire water on someone's lap. Why we gave it another chance after this visit, well because we understand bad days. But it seems most days are a bad day for their staff? So unfortunate because the pretzel and queso is so good! If you get your queso with it that is.. one time we all ordered pretzels, waited 30 mins for them and then were delivered with no queso. Asked if we could get it and they told us they were out??? That is something you tell your customers as they are ordering, or as soon as you find out, so they can correct their order and choose something different! Ordered the nachos and they came out cold with only the top layer of cheese melted and the rest of the nachos had cold unmelted shredded cheese. Looked like they were microwaved. We also got the southwest quesadilla and had to send it back, it was cold and the chicken tasted horrible. My boyfriend took one bite and knew something was off. When I knew I was going to be in Chelan for training I looked at the restaurants close to my hotel and was happy to see there was a brewery right up the street. When the discussion of what to eat for dinner came up amongst my coworkers I suggested we check it out and I'm so glad we did! The oatmeal stout was delicious! I also tried the amber they had on tap but the stout was by far my favorite. I ordered a burger and it was good. I really liked the fries. Walking by, this place looked fun. Walking in, it was vibrant with really good energy. Beer selection is decent. At this particular point in time we ordered our food. A BBQ platter with slaw, side salad, and corn bread. Service was somewhat slow for a place that seems to be busy allot. After ordering we waited a good 20 mins to get the food. When we did, the food wasn't hot. It wasn't even warm for that matter. The smokiness on the meat was good, but other than that not really any flavor. Chicken was dry. Luckily I had lots of BBQ sauce to flavor it up! Thumbs up on the sauces though. Cole slaw was probably best thing on the plate; nice and creamy. Corn bread though. Didn't taste like corn bread. Good food and excellent beer. I stop here every-time I'm in Chelan. Their trivia night on Wednesdays is fun and hilarious. They always have sports on tv (including women's athletics - which is awesome) and the vibe is totally family friendly (with beer ). And if you're there on rib night do not hesitate...so good.
