This is the absolute best place we've been to in a long time. We are from out of town and we saw this place downtown and decided to check it out. It hands down was an amazing experience. The wait time wasn't too long even though it's a beautiful night, they got people in quickly. The food was amazing, we had the pretzel bites, spinach artichoke dip, caprese pizza, and bbq sandwich. As well as 2 flights of beers which were so good we ordered a draft of them. Don't even get me started on our server Lisa, talk about an amazing sweet human being, she was so attentive and so kind, she said she is usually an awkward person but I didn't notice at all. The live music, Stella's Black Rose played and were super awesome! We spoke with the owner Rick to tell him about our experience and why we were in town, for my husbands birthday, and he was so nice in giving him a free pint glass as we were walking out. Unfortunately this was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had at a brewery! Grumpy bar tender, no "Hi", no "welcome", lots of staff standing around talking to each other no interest in their customers. We sat at the bar with virtually no service. Very unfortunate. We travel the country seeking out breweries, hands down the worst experience we have had in 3 plus years traveling -- so bad that even though we were very hungry & thirsty we walked out and went across the street to Villa Marine Bar overlooking the lake. Very friendly, good food, great customer experience. Update: Rick called and apologized. We had a wonderful conversation and we would definitely give them another try next time we are in the area. Rick was very gracious and he really understands the customer experience! Thank you for listening and for sharing - beginning of season and many new staff members "in training". Then you start to notice the details.. the ceiling fans running on belts linked to each other, the funny signs on the men's and women's bathrooms, the recycled bowling alley bar.. and so forth. Each aspect of the brewery is well thought out, and it shows in the beers and in the foods. The place is really clean, but, that is expected with brewers. Also... ORDER at the bar. read more

We ordered multiple appetizers and beers. The charcuterie board was delicious and gave multiple types of unique cheeses. The crackers and jam supplemented the cheeses well. The cheesy sticks were good, standard cheesy bread. The Brie and jam was delicious and came with amazing pita bread. It was soft, salted and so flavorful. We also tried the jalapeño popper dip that was phenomenal!! Creamy, spicy, savory, cheesy, delicious! I loved the beers I ordered. Come early or late to enjoy this bustling, trendy brewery. 6p just doesn't work. High tourist season was the ultimate test for a restaurant. We came with a family of 8, including 3 in high chairs. After trying to get in on 2 separate evenings (45 minute waits were too much) we finally found a 5p time slot in which we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was vibrant and food 'good enough'. I came back to this place and they have updated their nachos! And they were so good! They have plenty of meat(which is delicious on its own) and the portion size is great. The nachos were very filling and I would order them again! We also order the Hog wild pizza and it was very hearty! The chunks of ham were huge and plentiful and I would order the pizza again too. Then I waited 15 or more minutes for the crowler. And at 1 hour a table had still not opened up. Maybe Covid has caused them to under staffed? Wonderful place! We have always had delicious meals and brews, great service here. Yesterday my friend and I split a smoked whitefish spread appetizer and a beautiful, very tasty flat bread with goat cheese, crisp apple, Italian sausage, etc. The dark Stormcloud Schwarzbier foeder aged was better than dessert. This place was named the best new brewpub in Michigan in 2016 by M-Live. It specializes in Belgian beers which are not my favorite but I thought I would give them a try. The place has almost as many seats outside as it does in and there seemed to be lots of families and young people in attendance. I had the 31 Plane IPA and the Cherry Spangled Saison (I'm a sucker for cherry beers) and neither really seemed to hit the spot form me. My friend had the Sunrunner Ale which she enjoyed. We did not eat and did not even look at the menu. There were three bartenders so the service was very prompt. read more

We just ate lunch at Stormcloud Brewing, and everyone was pleased with their meals and beers--not easy, as there were eight of us. Folks had a variety of beers, and everybody liked what they ordered. The servers are helpful in steering you to beer that meets your personal flavor preferences. Personally, though, I'd go back for the food. We had a number of dishes, and they were all delicious. Two of the guys had pulled pork sandwiches, which they said were tender and very tasty. My brother had the Sandwich du Jour, turkey and cole slaw on Naan bread, which was great. Several of us had salads, including the chicken salad--served on a bed of greens, the Market Salad, and the Roasted Veggie Salad. I had the Roasted Veggie, to which I added chicken. Both the chicken pieces and the veggies were warm, which was much appreciated. They were served on a bed of mixed greens, with a wonderfully light and fresh citrus vinaigrette on the side. All the salads and sandwiches were in the $8-12 range, and the servings were generous, but not so big you had to take a bunch of food home. Our server was excellent, and we would definitely revisit this little gem in downtown Frankfort. read more

There are two Stormclouds in Frankfort. The restaurant is open all year. There actual brewery serves in the summer months to the public only. As pubs go the beer and cider are excellent. Food is good to and yes I'm a foodie. So if you want a great beer or cider don't be frightened to order food as well. Highly recommend this place. We were here with three other couples. We had several different appetizers and several different kinds of pizza. Everything was really good. We did see they have a lot of dishes that had goat cheese and if you don't like that (which we didn't) they easily switched it to mozzarella. It was all great. We also liked all of the different beers that we tried. They offered to bring samples for you if you couldn't choose. On our 2 month camping trip camping trip across the USA, we decided to stop for dinner at the Stormcloud Brewing Co. I was a little surprised at the menu in that it didn't have much in the variety of sandwiches so decided on a Thai Shrimp Pizza, not sure why, just sounded good. Sue decided on a sausage and pepperoni. Service was excellent as Cheyenne kept my ice tea glass filled. The pizzas came much soon than expected and hot out of the oven. One taste of my shrimp pizza and I was staggered with just how good it was! Sue and I exchanged slices so we could get a taste of each other's choice. We both agreed while here was pretty tasty, it didn't compare to the Thai Shrimp offering. Honestly it was the best tasting pizza I had ever eaten. Also the first Thai Shrimp. But hopefully not the last. Might be hard to find elsewhere but I'll be looking. read more
