We purchased our Storm Shades from StormSmart in November of 2023 and they were installed in February of 2024 and we LOVE them. We looked at a lot of different products before deciding on the StormSmart Shades. We had questions we got answers we had an issue we got resolution. We live on the Inlet in PBS and love the features of the Storm Shades when close them it's not like the traditional hurricane shutters where the patio becomes a tomb we can see an outline of the outside we still have airflow, we can position 1/4 close or 1/2 close what ever works for us. Also because of the automation if rain is moving in and we are out I can close them from my phone or if we are home they interact with our voice operated assistant and A closes them or opens them. I have been calling for two weeks trying to get a service appointment. Every call they tell me someone will get back to me within 48 hours to schedule an appointment. We have not heard back from them. We spent $18,450 for three screens on our Lanai. Two of the Screens will not go all the way down. This has been an ongoing issue. Save your money and frustration and go with someone else. I would give Zero Stars if I could. read more

We had Storm Smart install electric shades and shutters for our entire home. The process was somewhat frustrating in that it took substantially longer to complete than what was anticipated. While there were many adjustments that had to be made Storm Smart always responded immediately and eventually delivered the finished product which we are quite pleased with. By the way the electrical problem you guys left me with were solved by another electrican that I hired to resolve the problem your guy couldn't after 2 return trips. Your electrican failed to go to all the outlet boxes to see if the outlet had to be reset. I'm not an ectrician and what I know about that stuff you could put on the head of a pin, It cost me $140 to find that out, when your guy should have known that. read more

Our nightmare with this company began in June 2024 when we paid a deposit. After almost three weeks of waiting for someone to follow up with the next step, then reaching out to our salesman Matt who offered no help, we cancelled our order and had to keep on them to get a refund. To our surprise they charged us $470 for "administrative fees" above the $114 we agree we owed for the permit they had already paid for. Of course Matt has ghosted our attempt to have the rest of our deposit refunded. Terrible business practices. Better to seek out one of their local competitors as we now have. read more

Storm Smart does not complete projects within the promised timeline. When I call to follow up they give me the run-around and they don't usually return phone calls. I signed a contract with them for high impact windows on 3/2/23. After several phone calls and text messages they started the installation on 7/13/23. I am still waiting for them to complete the job. Six weeks later and there are still parts lying on my dining table and in other parts of the house (see pictures below). I am so frustrated with them!! I am also waiting on repairs to the Storm Screens they installed a few years ago. They have been out several times to fix the problem but to no avail. The screen will not roll down completely - stuck part way down. They are quick to write the contract but super slow to deliver. Save yourself the aggravation and take your business somewhere else. read more

I wish this review is about the craftsmanship of the shutters that I'd like to order but I called and have been on hold for more than 9 minutes and still on hold!! A lady answered the call and asked if I'm able to hold ... well had I known it would be this long, I would've said no LOL. For management purpose, I called on 10/9/19 at 4:01 pm. Oh yeah, I'm still on hold ... she didn't even come back to the line to apologize for the wait before putting me on hold further. Terrible customer service!!! Update: Just want to add that shortly after posting this review, I received a phone call from the President of the company Ken. He was kind and apologized on behalf of his customer service person. Worst customer service imaginable! one star for actually having a telephone that rings unfortunately it took four phone calls until the manager actually sent someone out to see why the keys they provided did not close some of the shuttersThey never followed up to actually replace the faulty keys so basically those few shutters are useless. In addition the previous year, I noticed that one of the shutters had 3 feet of panels missing, can not possibly imagine how an installer could leave knowing that the shutters are 3 feet short. read more

IF you measure yourself and are willing to do your own installation than they will sell you. They will not come to a resident in their own city for less than 3000.00!! Shame on them!! I need an electric storm shutter repaired. A tech came out, after 2 cancellations, and looked at it. I got an estimate of $856. to replace the motor...it was a fair price. The same tech returns did a very good job and then I got a bill that was $1350. I call that a bait and switch! I have protested to no avail and finally have paid up. I would never use them again. read more
