So I went to this establishment for what was advertised as an Oyster festival. Needless to say…read morewhen I arrived at 6pm I was told the festival sold out at 2pm that day even though the event was advertised as being from 11-9pm. so I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink. First I was in line behind someone being help at the register on the other end of the bar. The waitress helped the gentleman and then left the register as if she was handling some other things behind the bar, never returning to take my order, even passing by me several times. Taking orders around the bar. Then A young couple walked up behind me and were helped by the gentleman behind the bar, I assumed he had been helping them before because they were discussing how much alcohol was in a particular beer and weather or not the underage young women could legal drink it based on the alcohol , Now I'm still standing there, yet no one asked to take my order or if I needed anything! Two people finish eating and left so I took one of the seats at the end of the bar beside where I was standing . I watched while the lady lady bartender finished her shift and left and another bartender took her place, upon staring her shift she went straight to help the large group of gentleman at the bar with drinks, so I told myself maybe they have been waiting just as long as I have , yet when she finished with their drinks she walked right past me sitting there with a menu in hand! The final straw was seeing the gentleman with the beard come and take orders from two groups of people standing right beside me , where I previously was and he never attempted to take my order! I won't even mention me looking up and catching a a gentleman staring at me, like literally hard staring at me!! I don't like to make assumptions however I can only assume I was not a welcome sight in this establishment due to me being a black woman!!! I'm in Ocala for a travel assignment and I can say experiencing something like I did at this place yesterday tells me all I need to know about this area! To all my brown people stay clear of this establishment I've included pictures so there is no confusion about the individuals!

On this visit they had about 4 of their brews on tap. I got the West Floridian Christmas which is a Belgian spiced quad 8.9% ABV. It was sweet, but quite delicious. I like the concept, but this location does not seem optimal and the limited amount of their own beer on tap was disappointing. Still a cool spot. Hope the business picks up. We were here on Saturday around 5:00 pm. I would imagine they get busier in the evening, but they close at 10pm on a Saturday night so well, there is that.

I enjoy their red sangria (they have white as well, haven't tried it.) which is pretty delicious. They have a food truck every evening they are open generally from 3 until 8. We have tried a lot of them and most are very tasty. Our favorite so far was a Hawaiian lumpia (like spring rolls) food truck. They are very dog friendly. People not only bring their own fur kids but will take a dog out of the shelter for a few hours and bring them out. It's very heartwarming. Inside is clean. It's really chilly for us so if it's not raining we tend to go outside. There is frequent live music as well. You can find lineups on their Facebook page. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and nice!

We had stumbled across them when we were in town for a wedding back in November and they are the perfect spot to stop off and have a beer while you wait for the insane traffic to calm down on I-4. My husband got a barrel aged beer...something called Driving my nuts. It was rested in Buffalo trace bourbon barrels, and while the buffalo trace is not very pronounced, you still get the flavor, especially after it warmed a little bit. I opted for the Irish red ale, which was incredibly good had the super sweetness when you first take a sip, very caramel tones and notes, but then mellow is very quick.

Two completely different spaces. I, of course, chose cozy comfy. I'm a sucker for a big comfy couch at a place that has board games and hot food. So we found a nice little corner, settled in, pulled out the games, and started ordering. Service was excellent. There were some very helpful servers that checked in on us at the perfect frequency. Not absent, not hovering. So the drinks kept flowing all day long. Speaking of drinks, my girlfriend was pleased with their beer selection. I was pleased that they had a few cans of NA beer/cider. And they were pretty good! The Orlando area is finally catching up with the rest of the world and starting to show up with some good NA options. Overall, this is an excellent place to kill a few hours and get some quality time in with quality people. Come here.

A very nice server tended to our needs the whole time, and she did it perfectly, even though she had some other pretty big tables to attend to. The drinks were great. A great variety of dark beers was appreciated. So many places only specialize in IPA's, barf. Cons: No real cons at all. A very cool spot. Tips: They had a lot of zero proof options, if you have any non-drinkers in your friend group.

There is a long bar, sitting area with fire place and an outside area as well. Chris Hart, the owner and brewer is doing something very right here. The beer selection is diverse. I think I counted 19 beers on tap, plus a host of guest taps including cider and wine. They do Belgians right here, but there were also sours, gose, pilsner, IPAs, porter, brown ale, and some European favorites like a winter warmer, hefeweizen and Marzen. The BEER: Wicked Child Belgian Strong Ale 14% ABV... sips like it is under 10%, smooth and delicious, just very slightly boozy. This is the strongest beer in Gainesville The Snow Gose 4 5% ABV... everything you would expect, sour and salty goodness Pucker Round fruited Gise 5.5% ABV... holy wow, a little tonic, and a lot of pucker. Good. Key lime and passion fruit Lord of Flashheart Belgian blonde 6.5% ABV... yes this is a grand blonde, well balanced and easy drinking Queenie Belgian amber 6% ABV... I love this amber, especially the warm hug I feel after a few sips. It mellows as it warms. Saint Sydney Belgian Dubbel 7.5% ABV... Oh yes, yes, yes, yes! This is the real McCoy, slightly boozy, semi sweet and quite delicious. Date Night Belgian quad 12% ABV... you can definitely taste the alcohol in this one. Not subtle, but definitely delicious, especially if you like Belgians I Cherries You Belgian fruit beer 7% ABV... wow, this is absolutely delicious, on the dryer side, but still semi sweet and absolutely crushable Real Eyes Realize Imperial IPA 9.25% ABV... perfectly balanced imperial IPA, sweet, juicy, delicious A little citrus and a whole lot of orange rind. This IPA has character. If I had to classify this brewery it would be a sophisticated craft beer experience. And, if I have any criticism it is that if you open a tab, they keep your card. So not a fan of that, but the overall experience was awesome. Like really awesome. BLACKADDER BREWING does BEER RIGHT!

The veal was incredibly tender, and the gravy was packed with flavor. It was a satisfying entrée that came with two sides. For my sides, I chose the pierogies and spätzle. The pierogies were honestly my favorite part of the meal. They were fluffy, cheesy, and generously filled. So delicious. I could have eaten a whole plate of just those. The spätzle was soft and well prepared, but compared to everything else, I found it a little boring. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a lot of character. I loved browsing the selection of German snacks, candy, and other imported items available for purchase. It added to the overall experience and made the place feel unique. While I'm not that familiar with German food, I thought this was a pretty good restaurant. Overall, I found German cuisine a little more muted than what I'm personally used to, but I still really enjoyed the meal and the experience. I'd be interested in trying more of the menu.

I had such high hopes for this place. :( The selection is very limited and perhaps I missed something (entirely possible), but I did not see a price list for the deli case. We did find a unique assortment of other German products- some we haven't seen in many years. The restaurant portion was quite busy and the customers looked happy. We were flooded with nostalgia and left in hopes of dining in on a less-busy day. I ordered two meats, including the German bologna. During the drive home, my family and I noticed a terrible odor-- the kind where we started pointing fingers at one another. We never suspected that the package from the deli was the source. When we opened it at home, a nauseatingly funky, ammonia-type smell came from the German bologna. While the liverwurst smelled okay, I could not trust it after the bologna and decided against keeping it. Wasted time and money. Dang! The staff is super nice and that was truly a plus. However, I doubt we will be back. My family is very bummed over this.
