We were seated right away (seat yourself). There were plenty of options on the menu, my daughter got the BLT and I got the kraut and hot dog. We shared an order of fried pickles. So after our disaster of a dinner at the Copp, we rode over to St John's Tavern. I wish we had just came here first. The tavern itself is located in the middle of town, and recalls an old English tavern of the early 20th century. The history nerd in me appreciated that, along with the cheerful staff that were extremely helpful. I was able to enjoy a glass of bourbon before we shared some chili nachos, which really hit the spot. I ordered the cowboy burger, which had cheddar, bbq sauce and an onion ring. The rest of my friends also had burgers, and the ladies really liked the espresso martini. If I had the pleasure of living down here, this tavern would be my daily haunt. My parents live in Crystal River, FL now. Whenever I visit, I need to go to St. John's Tavern. They have the freshest fish with jasmine rice and sautéed vegetables. I always have the Grouper. The bartender is the owner and he is awesome. Amazing wine selection. My favorite place to go! read more

My guy and I went here for a date night, as he remembered it differently than its current presentation, which is currently a sports bar style. I didnt mind, honestly. It has nice ambience. We ordered the chili, and though spicy, it was tasty. The service was amazing, including the shadowing waitress. While young, she was quite polite and friendly.
