I can only comment on the burger situation. First time I went inside, got a single cheeseburger and it was the size of a frozen at home burger, decent burger, wish I got two. Second and third time I went through drive through, got a double cheeseburger and it was HUGE!!! Couldn't finish. Tasted fine, but inconsistently was odd. read more

Food and service were just OK...waitress was "new" and seemed a little confused. I was anxious to try the swedish meatballs and I'm sorry but they are AWFUL...same for the gravy they were swimming in. I quit after one bite. I'm in no hurry to return. read more

A great local place to eat - everything freshly-made, including the wonderful bread and chicken gravy! They also do a great breakfast that includes Swedish pancakes (they feature themselves as offering Swedish fare). While I didn't have breakfast today, I have had their Swedish Sampler breakfast on a prior trip and it was outstanding. I had the chicken special. It was excellent! The chicken was well-cooked with an extremely flavorful coating. There were also fresh mashed potatoes and nicely-cooked baby carrots. The slice of homemade bread was soft and came buttered with a crispy top. The meal also included a container of a very good cole slaw. read more

Lots of food, tasted good, decent prices, had a reasonable weight before getting our dinner. I ordered the Swedish meatball dinner and it was delicious, but the meatballsp weren't as hot as they should've been. The corn and mashed potatoes were definitely hotter. It wasn't a big enough deal to complain about, this time. Had Schaum Torte with hot fudge sauce for dessert; it was huge! Two of us split one and we barely finished it. We stopped in here on the way to Iron Mountain. The food was pretty good (breakfast was a bit pricier than I expected though) and we all ate well. The place was really clean and the staff helped out when we spilled a full cup of water. Everyone at pancakes, french toast, regular toast, etc. and left content. I popped in on my trip between Grand Rapids MI and La Pointe, WI - passed it by and saw the pile of cars in the parking lot on a Monday morning so I figured it was would be good. U-turn!! Cute little place! The staff was very friendly even though I walked in to place a to-go order 35min before close. I ordered the Swedish meatballs. They were not my Grandpa's, but they were okay. They used a dark gravy which, to me, is not a traditional gravy for the meatballs. The flavor of them was okay, but lacking a bit for me. I am still giving 5 stars because when it comes to Swedish meatballs I am beyond a harsh critic growing up having my Grandpa make them for us with his recipe from before he migrated to the US. Been here a few times and it was good but this time was awful. Took 20 minutes to get our order taken this was after waiting for 10 minutes already.. Then another 25 minutes to get our food. On top of that there was some sort of "service fee" added to our bill so they can give that for the tip. Not going back for a long long time. read more

Stop! Save you money. Storheim's in Iron Mountain is beyond repair. Ordered a burger/side salad and fish dinner $25. Fish was fried dark dark brown, inside was 0 moisture, French fries were fried in either old oil or burnt oil. Burger was red in center I doubt it reached a rare temperature, outside of burger tasted burnt, (dirty grill or it was burnt). I miss the Storheims in Green Bay and was really looking forward to one of 'their' burgers. Take this solid advice and go across the street to Culver's 1st and save yourself $25. The food and the service was OK I got the skillet. It was a little greasy. It will season well but Greasy my partner got the French toast. She said it was pretty good, and Swedish meatballs had to fine of a grind for me. We both had Swedish pancakes and meatballs- not our typical breakfast to be sure, but was so delicious that it is now a new favorite whenever we are in town. We ordered breakfast takeout. My fiancé and I both got the breakfast special, our daughter the cinnamon roll French toast. Daughter was happy with her meal, fiancé and I were a little less impressed. Very generous hashbrown portions, but the egg to hashbrown ratio was not the best. Also, we ordered our eggs over easy, and they were nearly hard cooked. I have never written a Yelp review before, but this place deserves my first review. I ordered the broasted chicken special. The salad was the best part. The chicken was greasy and not in a good way. Service was non-existent. The food got dropped off, and I never saw a server again. I had to go up to the front to get my check. In addition to my dinner, they charged a convenience fee of over $2 for a $13.49 dinner. I think it was for credit card use. I really didn't catch it until after the transaction was completed.. All in all, my experience left a bad taste in my mouth, in more ways than one. read more

I tripped over the Storheim's Yelp page while I was checking in at the close by Wendy's. I was immediately enamored with the picture of that cinnamon roll staring back at me. So I made I to my mission to have one within 24 hours. Mission accomplished. Maybe it's kinda dumb to give a review for just a cinnamon roll. I don't care, it was worth it. Fast friendly service, fast cinnamon rolls (I bought the last 2 for the day), fast ring up. That touch of orange zest in the frosting was great. 11/10, will be back for more cinnamon rolls. read more

Breakfast all day for an option is my type of place. All their food looked great but had to do a breakfast. We had: Swedish Pancakes, Vienna French Toast and The Lumberjack Breakfast. All were fantastic. Highly recommend. Everything was tasty and full of flavor. The Lumberjack breakfast includes bacon and hash browns and both were perfect. Many places it's all grease - not here. Looks nice. I was initially imagining a taste of Sweden. I should have known by the half finished plate that was still on the table where the waitress told us to sit that something was wrong. Food was subpar and overpriced. Service was the worst I've ever had. It took an hour to get two eggs, and we never got water or refills on coffee. The waitress didn't even stop at our table for a full hour in spite of having time to hang out with the other waitresses and stare at the door. Went in got seated and served coffee. When the waitress came back she said "we want buffet right?" We did not want a buffet as we intentionally left our hotel to sit down to a nice breakfast. They were only serving buffet and didn't mention it until afterward. We decided to leave after paying for two cups of coffee $5.28! We went to another establishment for breakfast. My husband and I ordered the BLT wrap (I ordered mine without mayo). They were great! Everything was fresh, the bacon was crispy, and there was just enough sauce to where the whole thing didn't become one big soggy mess. I ordered the cheese curds instead of fries (they were okay, not the best kind of cheese curds and had too much breading). My husband ordered the crinkle fries, which I loved because they weren't greasy and over salted like most places do. There are many many mixed reviews on this place. Most of the negative comments are that it is a knock-off of Culver's, which if you read above, is not the case. I was recently there on a Monday evening about 6pm. I noticed they served breakfast so I ordered scrambled eggs, Swedish meatball, American fries and toast. Our waitress was pleasant and our wait time was short. When I received my meal, I remember thinking I had never seen scrambled eggs look like that before. They looked like a mess and had no taste. My American fries had been burned so badly they were literally black and crusty. I could barely stab them with my fork. The meatballs were not what I consider Swedish and I'm Swedish! They were in a thick, dark brown gravy and that is not what I consider Swedish meatballs to be. They were tasty compared to the other items. I didn't end up eating my toast as it was literally soaked in butter. I was very disappointed with my entire meal. I have had their burgers and fries and always enjoyed those but the breakfast left a LOT to be desired, unfortunately. read more

Since my last visit here in 2007, Storheim's has grown. They have added a drive-thru order lane and expanded the dining area. The dull interior and plain tables have taken on a more polished, franchisey look with more booths and nicer interior decorations. Most closely this place compares to Culver's, but it's not a chain. They have a different custard flavor daily and usually chocolate and caramel are involved. Burgers and fish are still a great menu choice, though not cheap like other fast food establishments. And if you're dining in, check out the "Taste of Sweden" room, off to the right of the counter. It's a separate wing added to the restaurant with some tables, separated by glass. The walls are adorned with Swedish folk art and wood carvings of deer and giant pine trees. Really beautiful and an elegant touch a fast food chain usually would not have. read more
