Run away from this storage facility. Unless you want your items stolen from your storage unit…read more Then, put your stuff in here and kiss it goodbye. My son and his college roommates stored items in a unit here over the summer. At some point during the summer, someone broke into their unit and stole many high priced items. When my son went to check on his unit in the middle of the summer, the lock was still intact, but upon opening up the unit, his items were gone. When we alerted the management that items were missing, with no evidence of lock tampering, we were informed that a known vulnerability in the locking mechanism allowed someone to use a screwdriver to move the locking bolt without disturbing the actual lock. They stated that several units were compromised. Management also stated that they knew the guy who rented there and was doing the stealing. BUT THEY NEVER INFORMED US THAT THERE WAS A MAJOR FLAW IN THEIR CURRENT LOCKING MECHANISM. Nor did they tell us that some units were broken into. They explained that telling everyone who rents a unit there of a major breach could open them up to people submitting false claims of their items being stolen. Ok, so maintaining their bottom line, and avoiding any sort of insurance claims for missing items, is more important than their actual customers. Got it. We have tallied up the value of the missing items, and we asked for reimbursement, citing that they told us they KNEW OF THE LOCK VULNERABIILTY and FAILED TO TELL ANYONE OF THE RECENT RASH OF BREAK-INS. Alas, their smart witted attorney informed us to go pound sand. The saga continues. Speaking of pounding sand, you should do that too and consider renting a storage space that is more secure. Unless you want your stuff stolen.

They also require you buy insurance. You must sign that they can enter your unit without permission. When we arrived less than 3 months after placing stuff in storage, imagine our surprise to find the walls moldy and 3 inches on water in the unit. We got the manager and she stated that they wondered if water got in our unit from the one next door that had a gaping hole in the roof. i asked for the final month rent to be returned and i was refused. i asked for the refund to help offset the 100 deductible. i filed a complaint with bbb, it took them 7 months to respond with a flat out refusal. note... They knew about the hole in the roof and did nothing. They rented the unit, collected the cash and did nothing more. They didn't enter the unit to see if water had leaked through the wall, nor did they call us. completely negligent. They did however offer to store or ruined items for the insurance company to inspect for an added fee. We even advised the insurance company of their negligence, complete with pictures. If i had time I'd be going to small claims court. i suppose if you have ugly furniture you want to turn into cash and don't mind depreciation or fighting with insurance? this is the place for you. Otherwise, if you like your belongings this is not the place. And by the way, corporate piblic storage is just as lacking in standing behind their brand.

Although a waiver was signed, I paid nearly two thousand dollars over 10 months for my belongings to be stored safely. It wasn't until after my fourth request for a partial refund did I get an apology for my loss from the owner - accompanied by a flat out refusal to stand by their service and offer even a partial reimbursement of my rent. Lesson Learned.

"no", i was told, "that i would have to pay for the full month"; however, "i could still move out on 9/13"???? what person in their right mind is going to pay for a whole month when moving out in te middle of the month? they need money that bad to where they could not accommodate a customer who's been there 7 months. they do nt value their customers only money!!!!! run............
