To whom it may concern, On January 18th and 19th I placed orders in which I'd selected items from the deli that I paid for but didn't receive. I've also received botched orders. I've try to reach them by phone several times, to no avail. When I've called before 1pm, and asked for Tony, my call was put on hold briefly and then disconnected. I even sent an email to their corporate office, but have not heard back from them either. As a long time customer and someone who has benefited from them greatly over the years, I am really baffled at this version of customer service which seems to be only a disservice after all. So we recently heard about the new ownership & we decided to give this place another shot. & OMG the changes are amazing. They remodled the counter which looks so nice! They brought in soooo much more liquor, bourben, beer, craft beer, slush beer! Dont get me started with the deli food. They got new meat although its the same menu they make the sandwhiches more stacked and its just really flavorful now. I spoke to the owner and they said there would be a lot more remodeling being done & that they added a phone so you can txt your orders then come pick it up so you arent waiting around for your food wasting time during your lunch break. I wish I could give a 4.5 but since I'm stuck with whole stars, here we go. My husband and I ordered their breakfast burritos without meat. They were made fast, served hot, and super tasty! They're very simple - eggs, cheese and potato - but can be wrapped in a tomato or spinach wrap. We opted for spinach and it didn't disappoint! A very reasonable price point and a generous amount of food. It's served with a miniature tub of salsa. I've also had the breakfast bagel sandwich here and it was awesome, too. They have a variety of deli sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, salads and the usual convenience store additions. I only deducted because no one here was wearing a mask, despite the city ordinance to do so. The back door was also open while one employee smoked, so the store reeked of cigarettes, which was unappealing. I didn't talk to the staff long but they seemed congenial. I used to love ordering from this place and enjoyed their baked goods, but sadly got disappointed when I found MOLD on my slice of chocolate mouse cake. I ordered a chocolate mouse cake and had it delivered to my home, and like always the service took less than 30 minutes, so I was very excited to have my treat. When I had opened the box my cake came in, I was shocked to see MOLD on my slice of cake! The cake was upright and there was a very visible piece of MOLD and webbing on top that is nearly impossible to miss! I immediately called the place and made a complaint and the person on the phone was very monotone, it didn't even seem like a big deal to her. She said that she will send the delivery guy back and pick up the cake, but didn't offer any type of refund or apology. Shortly after the phone call, the delivery guy came and asked to see the cake. I showed him the MOLD and all he gave me was a simple "sorry for the inconvenience" and gave me my money back. It didn't seem like a very big deal to these workers that there was MOLD and webbing on the cake and acted as if it was only a slight inconvenience. I'm wondering how long this cake was left out and under what conditions, and how was it even possible to miss it. Most disrespectful burrito I have ever received (see pics attached ) I thought when you ordered burritos with vegetables they are supposed to be mixed together and at least warm when you receive it. Looks like they chopped a bunch of vegetables together and threw it into the tortilla and then added the egg on the side. So my family decided to order breakfast this morning through Eat24. Our delivery was a little over twenty minutes late and when we called to inquire there was no apology what so ever. The delivery arrived with still no apology for the wait. The food : The mashed potatoes were good but bland. The salsa that came with my burrito, at least I think it was supposed to be salsa. It's been a SUPER busy week for me. I got home from work today and saw I had half a bottle of wine left. I figured that would be good, so I walked to Poquito Mas to get some food to take home. What can one say, but YAY! I recently discovered this place while looking for a good salad to go pick up. Well. Not only do they have great salads, but they deliver! It was a hot Sunday afternoon by the pool and I did not want to cook. After searching around I stumbled upon this "delivery" place, kinda like Pink Dot, and was weary, but more lazy. Me and Hubby ordered a Mile High Club Sandwich and a Cobb Salad... a bottle of Jack and a bottle of wine as well :-D They said 30 minutes, but got here in 20! Both the Club and Cobb were waaay beyond any expectations. Really. The Cobb - $7.49 - Better than Jerry's Deli and 1/2 the price! Tons of real Blue Cheese, almost too much bacon, if there is such a thing, the deli turkey was moist and tasted freshly sliced, a whole hard broiled egg and fresh tomatoes. Oh, and the greens were a nice spring mix. We has ranch dressing. It was great, hugged the food and not watery at all. Yum. The Mile High Club Sammy - $7.49 - Foot long and delish. Fresh baked bread, not too hard, thick or chewy. Filled with fresh deli meats, again with the BACON, perfect amount of dressing, tomatoes and lettuce. Yum. We had originally ordered the salad for me and sandwich for him, but the sammy looked too good, and too big, so we shared it. We were both full! I ordered food through the iPhone app: GrubHub! The delivery gentleman showed up before the ETA given by GrubHub, the food was hot, and the service could not have been friendlier! The actual store is just down the street! YES, how incredibly lazy of me, I know. However after a week of working hard, it was time to do something nice for ME. When my boss said "you have to go to that liquor store off of Screenland to get a salad", I was like uh no..food from a liquor store,thats not EVEN happening..So she just went and got it for me one day..1/2 of a Cobb salad with Dark greens and spinach on the bottom, then big cheddar cheese slices, tomato, sliced egg, the crispiest best bacon (and i don't even like bacon), a half avocado and deli turkey meat topped off with a side of ranch dressing-i barely even got to the actual salad on bottom for all the stuff on top! Seriously, you cant beat that and for the price. My boyfriend got the green veggie salad the other day and it was huge also-he couldn't even finish it..which is unlike him. They also have wraps, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, fruit trays, cookies and really a whole menu of stuff. This place is a liquor store but they have everything that a convenience/drug store would have too like toothpaste, sodas, band-aids etc..and get this - they deliver! Especially because our orders are always pretty large and over $50 you should not send rotten rancid minestrone to you're customers not ok!! Also the tuna is pretty dry and gross beware!! I'm not sure where to start with this review. Been a customer for years and they recently changed management, which is cool because the inside of the place was outdated, but this is where the good part ends. I went in during my work break to grab a sandwich from the deli when I realized some things aren't right, employees were smoking inside the store those vape things, they were joking and laughing in some other language. Seemed like a very unprofessional workplace. I ordered my sandwich when some lady there who wasn't even wearing protective gear like a mask, hair net, or gloves starts making it. I should have ran out then and there, but I had already paid for the sandwich. The worst part is when I started to eat, I realized that there was mold on the bread, so I had to trash the entire thing. Very shameful experience. Would not recommend. read more

Damn. This place used to be my 1st choice back in the day I don't know what happened. Sandwiches used to be A1 now they are just a pile of Sh!z. Employees don't know what they are doing. It took the a cool 10 mins for them to realize we are trying to order something. Then we asked them to take out the insides of the bread out and they didn't. My cousin order a Pastrami sandwich and when he took the first bite he threw up. We opened up the sandwich and the meat looked like it was a month old. I have been coming here for the past 10 years, but the recent changes made under the new ownership has really made all the difference! The store looks brighter and better with their more open layout and new countertop! The customer service is wayyyyy better than before! The Deli menu stayed the same and you can still expect the same quality of food, which I was very happy about! I am very excited to try out their new "texting" telephone number, which will allow me to text my order instead of calling. I think that's genius! So give the store a try!!! So this is like the 4th lie from this company. I was supposed to have a credit and was told there's no credit whatsoever from the guy Steve who's working tonight, who says he is the manager. So they've got a bunch of people calling themselves managers and nobody taking care of any customers. He said he was aware of my last review but only offered to wave the delivery. So apparently the owners don't trust their employees to do good customer service or maybe they just want to screw the customers. Who needs return customers, right. Especially a first time customer. I do a lot of outdoor work (machining/powdercoating) on my days off and I simply cannot disrupt my workflow by making food. Sometimes all I want is a sandwich and a beer, and this is the krux of what makes this company my go-to on those days. Their website has improved vastly and I'm thankful that my criticism wasn't met with base insecurity, but rather, a constructive improvement. If you appreciate store2door for what it IS rather than what you think it should be - you'll be happy. ----------------------- Honestly, I was happy with them up until the 4th order. I think that their website must be having problems - but regardless of where the problem IS when I called about a missing item in the order, they took zero responsibility and claimed that the error was completely mine and it was their FIRST time hearing about it. Maybe if the staff would read some of the comments here, they would considering doing some due diligence in their logistical process. Here's the thing, I've used the exact same coupon code ("IFT" free turkey sandwich with an order over $30) on a previous order and entered it with the exact method (meaning I simply added the coupon code at the end and the item appeared in my cart). The guy on the phone (who I will not call out because I understand what a customer service job is like) claimed that I was supposed to add the item first, and THEN add the coupon code after. Btw my order number is # 83184 if you want to check it out yourself. I was then told that there was nothing that could be done about it because all of their drivers were "busy". Fine. I'm not the type of person to call and "bitch" just for the sake of letting off steam. I was just hoping that they would give me the benefit of the doubt in the effort to retain a customer. Without embellishment, their delivery guys are regular working class people like myself and I always tip them out at least 20%. They aren't shitty teenagers but more like middle-aged dads who are trying to get by and I respect that - so I don't want to jeopardize their ability to make money. I'm not putting down a 1 star review because I don't want other to simply dismiss what I have to say. Credit is given where credit is due - but simply denying all responsibility instead of considering the fact that there may be technical issues is sort of a crappy way to deal with any problem. Just ordered a basic breakfast order, paid for with my Amex. Delivery guy comes and states he can't release the food unless he sees the actual card and takes an impression. I told him new card is on it's way (it was lost)and show him the receipt FROM store 2 door PAID on Apple Wallet. Says its not good enough and tried to leave with the food! Had to get on the phone with a manager, use a new card and finally got my food, which is now cold and soggy. They should have stated a card would need to be presented at delivery beforehand, or better yet update their system from the 1990's and have an online payment system that doesn't require scratching a card onto a piece of dead tree. Do not order their deli food. It is not made of food. The "mashed potatoes" are made with a powder, NOT real potatoes. So gross. They also completely ignored my special requests, which is a real problem if you have allergies! Bananas and mangos were extremely green, not ripe, nowhere near ready to eat. They never did get ripe. They just went from green and hard straight to rotten. If you like to fill your face hole with chips and soda and crap like that, then this place is probably great for you. But seriously the food is great, lots of meat in the sandwiches and amazing greens in the salads. They make a killer breakfast burrito, and also have a deli . Hot or cold sandwiches, salads , the list goes on.
