This BevMo location is located in Empire Center in Burbank. They sell variety of domestic and foreign liquor. It is smaller compare to other stores. It is very organized and clean. They have cups, snacks, and almost everything needed for a party. Service can be better. I felt that cashier was not too friendly or seemed bothered as I was making my purchase. Other than customer service no complaints about this location. As far parking, it is easy to find parking spot since it is located in Empire Center. BevMo is BevMo. Right? Wrong. Because while the items they stock might be similar, it's really all about the people. And I'm glad the Burbank BevMo! location is my store, because the people there have always been awesome. Characters, yes! But still awesome. Case in point, we went in yesterday just to grab some sipping whiskey. We were greeted very professionally by a young lady with glasses, who was busy helping another customer, but not too busy to greet new customers. We found our whiskey and got in line, and at the head of the line was a fellow who was having a difficult time signing up for Club Bev on his phone. Well this young lady was very patiently and articulately helping him get it set up, but she could see the line stacking up, and she sensed people starting to wonder how long this was going to take. She kept her cool, all the while reassuring everyone in line she would be right with us and apologizing for the delay. When we got to the register I complimented her professionalism by saying, "You're running the show here! You got it all under control, girl! Firstborn, right? Same here, I recognize!" Boy, you should have seen the smile that got. Yep, they've got good selection and decent prices at BevMo! But it's the personal touch, the human interaction, that makes a business stand out from the rest. I wish I had gotten this young lady's name, because I would surely have mentioned it here. The employee working the register at 4:20pm today was so rude, admitted to having a terrible day and wishes he could go home. I told him to not take it out on his customers and he disregarded and continued with his terrible service responding a with attitude. The woman at the counter when barely entering the store not sure if she was his supervisor or manager was witnessing the interaction and when I looked at her she ducked down. This Bevmo! has been around a while, after visiting other locations, I forgot how small it was. On the day we arrived they received a shipment which was brought thru the front door sadly, it made the location feel smaller and cluttered. Some of the aisles had restocking carts that crowded them and wouldn't fit a cart. As mentioned in previous Bevmo! Locations, they are ordering too much stock for what the store can hold. It's certainly a turn off, I'd rather go to Ralphs or a grocery store. read more

I don't usually do this but I am today! BevMo is my go to spot for liquor.. Any where I am, it's always "find a BevMo". Today I visited this location in Burbank and it was nothing like any other experience I've had at a a BevMo. Unfortunately, I was dealing with Chris. I walked in to grab my usual and after not being able to locate the items I was looking for, I decided to get in line and ask an employee. I was hopeful that they would know where the items were or be helpful to find them. As I approached the counter, there was Chris. I asked him if he knew where the items I was looking for could be and he pointed at the obvious locations that a customer would clearly look before waiting in a long line to ask. I let him know I did not see them in those locations. He responded "well then we are out". Something told me to do another look around because he clearly didn't care to be helpful and looked just as lazy as he was. I ended up finding the items in a place that is different than the locations I typically go to. After returning to the register, Chris was there and provided me with my total. After paying I asked if they had a sleeve sack and he said no. So, I asked if I could have a bag. (I'm not someone who prefers to drive around with liquids in their vehicle, rolling around.) Chris looked at me and pointed at the bags that were clearly not for customers to grab and said "you can grab it".... ??!?!!! What the heck? Are you serious sir. I don't expect 5 star service at a liquor store but bare minimum would be to bag my items.. Chris clearly had an issue and I didn't do anything for it to be with me. BevMo, please send a secret shopper to this location so you can understand my experience with him. Chris needs some better training and customer service etiquette to be working at an establishment that is located all around the US. Never will I come back to this location. read more

I came into the store this afternoon to purchase wine for a dinner party. When I was at the register a woman named Brandi was behind the counter checking me out. I have allergies and began coughing. I noticed she became upset and when I asked her if she was ok she told me she didn't like it when people coughed. I began uncontrollably coughing more and asked if she had water. She did and charged me for it along with my order. She was visibly upset and handed me my bag with disgust. I apologized over and over again but she remained extremely upset. While I understand the fear of covid, the disrespect I encountered by this BEVMO employee because of a medical experience I was having is disheartening. If Brandi is of a medical risk to coughing by others maybe BEVMO should consider giving her a more work accommodated environment rather than coming in direct contact with customers. This would eliminate a situation like this occurring again. As I was exiting the store another employee walked up to the counter and I told her that I think I may have upset Brandi. Definitely one of my favorite locations in the 818/SFV/Los Angeles Valley... The BevMo of Burbank located at Empire Center is one that had exactly what I needed for a 3 day holiday weekend. I went in with the intention of just grabbing a 12-pack of hard cider (Ace)... To break the Truly and White Claw mood that seems to happen often and was surprised by all the craft brew options they have. I know BevMo (as a chain) true staple is their 5 cent sale (buy one bottle get one for a nickel)... which I also indulge in with some prosecco gift for a friend and a nickel bottle for myself... win win! Their Gina Prosecco is by far my favorite it's a true extra dry (some sweetness and a lot of flavor)... I went with the Dolce Vita however since it pairs good with all kinds of pallets and is a little drier. They have plenty of both in stock in Burbank. This location is about an average size BevMo with nice isles... not too narrow like the smaller locations if you've been to others... My go to locations usually being closer to me (Encino, Studio City and Van Nuys), but this is definitely becoming my new favorite over my last few trips in 2020. The prices are fair... Maybe a buck or so more than like businesses, but considering the convenience it's usually always worth it.... Also a lot of their wines an branded products (snacks, accessories, etc.) are exclusively sold through BevMo. They are practicing best health practices... though I don't recall any social distancing markers near check out... I could be wrong. Everyone is super helpful and friendly as well as efficient. The fridge was fully stocked as well as the shelves. Alex on register was super friendly when he rang me up as well as efficient. The have plenty of carts, BevMologist to assist you and booze to warm your body and heart. The have a good amount of parking in front and around their neighboring businesses. This store has become very unreliable with their staffing as of late. In addition, they're not the cheapest game in town anymore (never really were but used to be one of the most convenient stops). I went yesterday on Friday evening (September 1st, 2023), arriving at 8:50 PM. Their posted business hours online and at the door reflected 10PM, but they had a sign up on the door that they had to close early with the sliding doors locked. No reason given, so I had to assume it was a staffing concern. I was eager to try an Icelandic vodka they carried named "Reyka," and their app showed they had 3x bottles in stock on sale from $25.99 down to $20.99 for a 750ml bottle. I was eager to take advantage of the sale price. Then I was disappointed after I made the trip there, with gas as expensive as it is, to see a sign posted on the door that they had to close early. Immediately, I remember that a new Total Wine recently opened in Glendale. Sure enough, they also closed at 10PM. And even better yet, they carry Reyka with an everyday price of $18.49 according to their website. My GPS said it was a 9 minute drive from BevMo's front door. So there I went and gave my business. Unfortunately, this is the last time I'm giving BevMo the chance to let me down. A lot of their staff is nice, but clearly there's something happening there preventing business from taking place. Plus, their prices aren't the best anymore. So I'll drive the extra 3-minutes based from my home address to go to Total Wine in Glendale from now on. This location is fine. Generally speaking I can find something I want in here, just not always what I was looking for. I came in the other day looking for vodka and it felt like the section was so small... I ultimately didn't get vodka due to the small selection of variety, but instead went for rum. The store is pretty basic, and I never look at the overpriced GoPuff junk in the back half of the store. A majority of the time the line is either non existent or moves really quick so that's a plus. Not much else to say, but I come here occasionally for the ease of shopping. read more

I am disappointed with this Bevmo store location. I got my Teremana here like 2 days ago but found it for a cheaper price elsewhere so I came to return it because on the receipt it said I could if it was within 7 days and not consumed/open/contaminated or spoiled. When I got to the store, the lady there said I couldn't return it due to California laws even though the receipt said I could. So I called another Bevmo location in Glendale which is like 5 miles away and they said I'm able to return it as long as it wasn't a big order of alcohol. So I called back this location to double check if I can still return it and the lady said I couldn't. I was still in Burbank area so I would've prefer to return it here but since she said I can't and Glendale store said I could ... I'll be going there and never coming back to this store. I'm not happy with the customer service here so disappointing that the receipt said I could but the worker said I can't. Smallest BevMo I've ever encountered. Prices were closer to small chain gas station prices than BevMo major liquor store prices (I honestly didn't think it was a franchise/individual stores could adjust but here we are). 46$ for 24 claws, could've got a better price on Gopuff (which this store is connected with). They did have some some rare spirits but at the same prices as my overpriced DTLA boutique liquor store. Overpriced for a BevMo and Weirdly more expensive in store than the app, just go to the Walmart or target in the same plaza for better prices. I used to come to BevMo! with my dad when I was younger and just be amazed at how big of a selection they had. Now that I am of legal drinking age, I'm still amazed. I came by on a Friday afternoon to grab a bottle of wine for my girlfriend and I. It's very helpful that they have a few reserved parking spots just for the store, because the parking in that section of Empire Center is always a mess. I walked in and was greeted by the cashier. I took a look around at some of their beers and ciders and saw that they had a lot of options for Golden Road beer (my favorite!). I was approached by a gentleman who asked if I needed any help and I told him I was looking for a good Moscato. He walked me over to that section and offered a great recommendation. I walked around a little more and was pleased to find how many non-alcohol items they had like mixes and syrups. They also had some snacks like chips and crackers, but I'm sure Target has better prices for those. When I went up to the cashier to pay, she let me know that if you join ClubBev you get a second bottle of wine for just $0.05! I obviously couldn't say no to that so I signed up while she went to grab me the second bottle. Overall I was really happy with the service I received and will for sure be back next time I need to buy a drink! read more

I'm 53 and look every bit of it. Been using the same BevMo Burbank in the empire center for a few years now. Today Oct, 14 2023 I was refused service. Why you ask, because I didn't have my ID on me. Honestly not sure if this is even legal, but the manage told me they would not sell me the items I brought up to the counter. Besides being a bit embarrassed, I explained, I rode my bike and do not bring my ID cuz I've lost my ID biking before and Im certainly not going to start bring my ID on bike rides for BeVmo. No with so my other liquor store close by. It's a disrespectful policy, you know darn well I'm of age. They've seen me buy from they're store before, I have a BeVmo card... how did I get one, by showing my idea (wasnt on my bike) Question for the owners: what good does this policy do other then make honest customers shop somewhere else? Worst customer service ever. Dennyse, The one with the crescent tattoo on her neck and nose septum piercing was the absolute worst. She/he/they really hates her job. Called them to see if there is any stock on an item, she said "yea Im sure there is 1 left". Was driving 20 miles for it so I kindly asked her to make sure and check, she/he/they scoffed at me them told Me theres 3. Got there, none of the workers were able to walk me to the correct area. Asked for a plastic bag, she/he/they refused to give me one. BevMo you lost another customer... and going over the reviews at this location it looks like there is some prejudice against Armenian customers. Wow...completely surprised yesterday when I went in to pick up a bottle of Bourbon and the people working there were Nice...Helpful...Kind....and...wait for it....PROFESSIONAL!! The very last thing I ever would have expected from this place. Things have indeed changed. Or at least for the moment :-/ My excellent experience was with Alex and a charming young lady who working the register. Alex was relaxed and knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. I had called ahead to see about a hard to bottle of Henry McKenna 10 Year Single Barrel which won best in show at this years San Fransisco's International Spirits Competition. At around $35.00 a bottle it was worth the effort. They had just gotten a case, 6 bottles, and I rushed in to get it. Thank you Alex and to the woman working there on Thursday April the 11th. If you place a pickup order here, do not expect it to be ready at the time you schedule it to be ready for pickup. They didn't begin to get my order ready until AFTER scheduled pick up time. And when it was finally ready, they didn't wanna bring it outside to the curbside pick up which was how my order was placed. Horrible service. read more

I rarely write reviews of stores but sometimes I need to so I can give someone a credit when it's due, hence this review. My brother received a $10 BevMo gift card as a Christmas gift several years ago. Since he doesn't drink, he didn't bother using it. Until one day he needed to buy beer for a party he's planning to go to. He tried using the gift card in a BevMo located in Brand, Glendale. Unfortunately, the cashier said the gift card wasn't any good. My brother ended up paying with other means. He wanted to toss out the card but I told him I'll try calling customer service. I tried going online to check balance of card but that option wasn't available. I also tried calling customer service hotline but that option wasn't available either. Yesterday, I had lunch in one of the restaurants in Empire. Restaurant was in same block as BevMo. I came in and was promptly greeted by Julie and John. I told them about the issue. Julie tried to do balance inquiry through her register but wasn't able to. She told me that she needed to make a phone call to find out how to make it work. A few minutes after, she came back and told me the card had $10 on it. I decided to spend that card on something. In this regard, I'd like to thank Julie for the excellent customer service provided. They also had a wine tasting bar area,however I had just missed it..I purchased a bottle of Stella Rosa vino,its a red wine with a smooth taste.I recommend this brand.If you like vino you'll like this.Its from Italy and you will enjoy it. So many different types of items here for all your party needs and entertainment.Such a great concept. It would have been very nice if the clerk had offered my wife to sign up for the *Free bevmo rewards program when my wife went to buy 5 bottle of Veuve. After looking up prices, it ended up being the difference of over $100. We wanted to get the bottle with the ice jacket and all the jackets are covered in dust and have smudge marks on them. We popped in here because I wanted to get some items to add to a care package. After clearly looking a little lost trying to find one brand, Alex asked if I needed help and I did! From that point on, he suggested so many options and gave interesting background on most (ipa & ciders). I later told him I also thought of grabbing a champagne and he recommended a comparable one.
