I rented a 75 square foot (5'x15') unit here for several years after a divorce. I had some issues cramming everything I (and my two kids) had accumulated through the years into my new home...and I needed some additional space. Fast forward... Over the past year I decided that I hadn't been in the unit in months (maybe a couple of years) and if that were the case...nothing in there was that important. The money would be better spent on day to day needs and not on storing junk I obviously didn't need. Part of this past weekend was spent moving the remaining stuff in the unit either back to my current apartment, taking it to the nearby Goodwill, or hauling it to a dumpster back at my complex. Overall I had a good experience. - The rental process is simple and opening the unit was easy. - I was assigned an internal access unit just inside of an exterior door which was ideal. - I was only asked by management once over the years to open it up for inspection. - The move out process has been pretty easy. They ask for at least 15 days notice and they shut off your auto-payment for the following month when you let them know you are moving out. - - If you need to extend after giving notice you just have to let them know. Thankfully I didn't have to do this. - The staff at this location has been easy to work with over the years. The kind of bad things that, I guess, come with the territory... - There is an automatic fee for insurance. This is a non-negotiable and you are billed for it every month. - Rent seems to increase every few months. My rent started at $55.99/month (plus taxes and insurance) and ended at $144.99 (plus taxes and insurance). - - There is no way to lock in at a set rate that I'm aware of... If there is I was never told about it. - Make sure your items are in waterproof tubs or elevated on pallets. - - Cardboard boxes might be okay if everything under them is elevated or waterproof. - - - I did experience some water damage on a piece of furniture that I didn't realize wasn't fully on the pallet and part of it was directly on the floor. - - - - See business pictures added by me showing water marks coming down the wall and on the floor of my unit. As a gentle reminder. DO NOT store any kind of food in your unit. This causes rodent problems for EVERYONE! Hopefully I never have to rent storage space again in the future... However..., if I do, I'd have no issues returning to this location. read more

They advertise 10x25x8 units at low prices for "First few months" at half off. The "full price" is no where close to what they are charging me... They raise the price FREQUENTLY and I'm now paying ~$150 more then what I was for the first year or so. Their practices should be highly illegal. read more

Great company, helpful people, clean secure easily accessible storage. Who needs more. Will use them again when the need arises.

I recently rented a small unit here, only needing it for a couple of months. I chose Storage Mart because they were advertising one month free. Great! The first month free, pay for the second month and I should be good! Nope, I received a phone call at the beginning of the second month saying I had not paid my rent yet and was now in default. What!? I was too paid! I paid the day I rented this unit, even had to get a special padlock for it! Of course I've paid! Long story short, they treated me like dirt, took more of my money just so I could get into the unit and remove my things, and purposely lied! There is no free month. Even the one month where you don't pay rent, you still pay an admin fee that is more than your rent! Do not do business here!!! read more

I am so impressed with Storage Mart. They wanted to know my needs and expectations and then met every point I had made. They really want my business and made sure that I was satisfied. I wouldn't rent a unit from any where else!! read more

So if I could give this place a 0 I would be more than happy to do so. I have had problems with them since I started renting with them about drainage from the downspout outside my unit my final straw came when I went in my unit a few weeks ago to find that mold from the water had damaged everything in the unit. When I brought this to there attention I was told the insurance that I was forced to buy would not cover it since it was considered flood damage. read more

Only reason I am giving a 1 star is I had to. I will never rent again from this place. First I would have to chisel the ice away from the door to get in. I would of let this go but the big issue is the billing scam. I was not told anything about a 'required' insurance policy for $19.97. This is crap. I am checking into this with the BBB and attorney generals office to see if this legal to do. read more

A while back I had a chaotic move. My house closing got pushed back multiple times, and I was unable to extend my my lease at my apt, I ended up finding a couch to crash on, but had to store 90% of my stuff. I was beyond impressed with how great of service the manager provided. Over a very rushed lunch break she managed to get me in to get a unit rented. The next day over another very rushed lunch break she managed to get my unit upgraded, when I realized the first was too small. Even on the rushed move out about month later the manager was amazing again, by not requiring me to come in to close out my unit, she was able to do it over the phone. If I was to need a storage unit again in my life this would probably be the first place I would go, the exceptional service and clean facilities are unmatched. read more

Can't get access to the lot says see manager no one is here call the 1877 number it hangs up on me the worst part is I'm trying to help my friend who is a vet and re inlisted the one across the street is stuck open no contact info for maintenance. Shop around. The representative that helped me rent a unit stated Storage Mart has insurance on each unit, which sounded great - until I received my first bill. The automatic insurance is not part of the rent for the unit, they tack on an additional $9.97 (plus tax) for this "benefit." I called and requested to remove the insurance from my bill as I do not need it. I was told it is required and cannot be waived. I then decided to verify I can give a 3-day notice when leaving, as told when signing up. Again, this was not correct, and was told they "prefer" at least a 15-day notice. Basically the people working there are paid a monthly commission the entire time you remain in the unit they "sold" you; therefore, they aren't forthcoming with all the information you need to make a decision. read more
