We had a unit at Public Storage for years and never really…read morequestioned the monthly rent once we moved in, even though they continued to raise it about every 6 months. In just four short years the rent doubled to over $104 for a climate controlled 5x10 unit! Annoyed, I decided to check out the competition and found StorageMart. It was not only closer to my house, but cleaner, in a better area, safer with secured garage docks and carts for unloading, and best of all it's more reasonably priced at just $57 (close to the price I first paid 4 years ago at the other place) with the first month free! As an added bonus, Don, provided friendly and courteous service. He didn't just hand me a paper with gate codes, he walked me through it and showed me around. I would have been fine on my own, but the extra service was appreciated. If you think storage is storage, you're wrong! Don't become a complacent sucker just because you don't want to deal with moving your stuff. Places like Public Storage apparently take advantage of that and raise rates often within the same year, hoping you'll just go along with it. Do your homework and find out there's a better way to store your items. For now, that place is StorageMart, but don't think I won't be keeping them honest. Oh yeah, I'm watching you StorageMart. I've been to this dance before. To be continued...

I've used various large corporate chain facilities in town and just thought all storage companies were disappointing until we found this one. First, the staff here is very helpful and friendly. They've consistently gone above and beyond to accommodate us and helped us save money along the way. The facility itself is very new, spotless and free from pests. I often see the staff sweeping, emptying trash cans, or walking the premises. The lighting is great and the door access control works without issue. Cameras appear to cover every angle and the climate-controlled areas maintain a consistent temperature with no humidity issues. Access is provided through multiple wide doorways with spacious elevators providing access to the upper level. The facility provides various flat moving carts that are conveniently stored just inside the doors. The loading/unloading area is well-lit and very close to the doors. Getting signed up is super easy. The paperwork process is quick and hassle-free with no hidden fees. **Pro Tip: Get your rental started by starting your rental via their website for the best price and to take advantage of their move in special. The pricing is very reasonable and a great value. A clean facility, robust security, and amazing staff--I feel like this is the best storage option in Overland Park!

I will continue to use them for my moving needs and highly recommend them.

I purchased a Groupon Featured Deal coupon for storage space at Wise Moving Company and U-Haul…read moreCenter in Lee's Summit, MO. The coupon stated the following "Choose Between Two Options *$11 for one month of storage (up to a $116.95 value) or *$39 for three months of storage (up to a $350.85 value). For both options, customers may choose between 10'x10', 10'x15' or 10'x25' units. I called the company to use my coupon for a 10'x25' storage unit. The manager told me that I could only get a 10'x10' storage unit as this was the only size available. I asked if I could get two of these at the same price as this would equal a 10'x20' size. The manager stated that I would have to purchase another Groupon coupon if I wanted more space or for me to contact Groupon for a refund. At this time the company has sold 50 of these coupons and is offering only the 10'x10 size unit. This is a classic example of what I consider to be a bait and switch offer. The store manager also stated that the Groupon sale webpage for this offer stated that these units were on a first come first serve basis. This is absolutely false as no such information was stated in the offer. I contacted Groupon and told them how this company had not fulfilled their promise in their ad and therefore I cancelled my order. Groupon looked at the ad placed by Wise Moving Company and U-Haul Center and agreed that the company indeed did not have any such information in the ad stating that this was a first come first serve basis. I received an e-mail from Groupon stating that my credit card would be credited for my purchase. The Groupon representive I spoke to also offered her apology for having been treated badly by this company. I will not be recommending Wise Moving Company as a company to patronize.

With two growing kids, we come to 2022 OVERFLOWING with...stuff. Although we try to have a couple large spring-clean-donation-purges every year, it still seems we find ourselves needing for more space and storage. Enter...StorTropolis! This is my very first experience with a self storage business, but so far, it has been outstanding! Our key criteria for selecting a space were location, cost, size of space, climate control, and ease of access. This location of StorTropolis had it all! Signing up was extremely easy and quick! They offer month-to-month pricing options (love the flexibility!), and we got a great storage bay that has super easy access! They have large dollies on site for you to use, which is really handy in not having to truck around your own each time you arrive! Maybe my favorite thing is that they have a large, interior loading/unloading dock that you can pull into so that you can use your space any day - no matter the weather!

That's all fine after using the truck I filled the truck up to exactly where it was(15$) . And fearing that I might get charged for "not filling the truck back up" I approached an employee and made sure that I wouldn't get charged. She hopped in the truck and checked the odometer. She seemed a bit unsure but then said that there wouldn't be any problems. I double down and asked if she was sure. She said yes. So I left reluctant that I still might get charged. I got my bill that I was expecting immediately . Thirty minutes later I got a 30$ charge for gas. Livid that I had been strait up lied too I call customer service. The man "Robert" was helpful in trying to resolve the issue. Now I am supposed to wait two days to get an answer if I'm going to get my money back. My advice is to take accurate photos of the gas gauge before and after your use of U-Haul. Just seems like a sneaky slimy tactic to squeeze as much money out of customers. Rent at your own caution.
