The owners are easy to reach, the security is as good as I've ever seen, the facility is 24-hour access, and the owners are willing to work with you on whatever issues may crop up. They had the equipment I reserved and it was always in good working condition. Checkout and checkin were easy and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The coupon stated the following "Choose Between Two Options *$11 for one month of storage (up to a $116.95 value) or *$39 for three months of storage (up to a $350.85 value). For both options, customers may choose between 10'x10', 10'x15' or 10'x25' units. I called the company to use my coupon for a 10'x25' storage unit. The manager told me that I could only get a 10'x10' storage unit as this was the only size available. I asked if I could get two of these at the same price as this would equal a 10'x20' size. The manager stated that I would have to purchase another Groupon coupon if I wanted more space or for me to contact Groupon for a refund. At this time the company has sold 50 of these coupons and is offering only the 10'x10 size unit. This is a classic example of what I consider to be a bait and switch offer. The store manager also stated that the Groupon sale webpage for this offer stated that these units were on a first come first serve basis. This is absolutely false as no such information was stated in the offer. I contacted Groupon and told them how this company had not fulfilled their promise in their ad and therefore I cancelled my order. Groupon looked at the ad placed by Wise Moving Company and U-Haul Center and agreed that the company indeed did not have any such information in the ad stating that this was a first come first serve basis. I received an e-mail from Groupon stating that my credit card would be credited for my purchase. The Groupon representive I spoke to also offered her apology for having been treated badly by this company. I will not be recommending Wise Moving Company as a company to patronize.

They went above and beyond getting our furniture moved. They put protectors on door frames, laid out mats and covered the railing on the stairs. Not a scratch to be found in our brand new house. They also had done this in very little time. I could not believe their efficiency along with the care they took. They were courteous and friendly on top of all of that. Our experience with Kansas City Moving and Storage started off great; pre-pack survey and packing…read morewent smoothly for the most part; workers were friendly and worked hard, the president even stopped by to check on the progress. Moving day was a different story, it was going well until the lead loader received a call saying that they had to pack everything tightly to squeeze another load on the truck and then from that point it was pure chaos. The loading team proceeded to disassemble EVERYTHING and as they loaded the truck parts were not being packed together, I asked the lead about what was going on and he reassured me that the driver (who was not present) and unloading team (from Colorado) were the best and not to worry. My wife handled the unloading process in Colorado as I still had to finish things up in Kansas City. The driver told my wife that an inventory sheet was not necessary as he knew where everything on the truck was located; this being my wife's first time handling a move-in by herself she did not know any better so she listened to him. My wife said the driver was friendly and a hard worker but had no clue where things were located on the truck. The unloading team that Kansas City Moving Storage hired in Colorado my wife said was terrible. After they assembled our dining room table they went to move it without talking to my wife and put a foot long gouge in the dining room floor and just laughed it off. The crew constantly took breaks and towards the end of the day just left without finishing, my wife and the driver ended up finishing with unloading and assembling. I arrived in Colorado two days later and as I was unpacking noticed that our vacuum, few kitchen boxes, and toy boxes were missing. I also noticed a gouge in the wall where the movers hit it with something. Not only were we missing items but we also received items that were not ours, which I reported but Kansas City Moving did not care or return for the items. As I was reading the inventory sheets that were created during the packing process in Kansas City I noticed that they coded everything as scratched and worn on all of our items to include a brand new washer and dryer that I had delivered the day of the move. How shady is that?! I e-mailed the president of Kansas City Moving & Storage and told him what had happened and he never responded. I do not recommend Kansas City Moving and Storage; poor leadership, lack of integrity and customer service. Military from the Fort Leavenworth area do not accept Kansas City Moving and Storage if they are assigned to you from the transportation office. Avoid using this moving company!

There was a time when the managers lived on site but since StorageMart took over I don't think that is the case any longer. I asked about this after the new owners took over and was told that it is even more secure now because of 24 hour video surveillance being monitored off site. Well they must have been asleep because the thieves hauled out a BUNCH of stuff valuable things from multiple units. I am going to move out but for anyone thinking about moving in I sure hope for your sake they have a better plan in place.
